Phalanx might not be the most interesting boss fight, but I definitely think it serves as a really good lesson for new players. If you take it on melee as many new players would, the message is clear. Hordes of enemies are dangerous, and crowd control is a necessary skill. Stay moving and separate them. That lesson will help throughout the entire series.
I think it's funny that surviving the Putrescent Knight's -eleven- twelve hit combo rewards you with an attack window about the same length Adjudicator gives you after every swing.
The longest combo Putrescent Knight has is 7 hits ( which is the one where he gets off the horse ) and even that one has 3 separate punish windows if you play well. 1 after the combo and 2 during it. So no
@@grfrjiglstan The first slow spin can be jumped over with a jump attack, the second and third won't hit at that point After the knight does these slow 3 spins, you can run away from the first horse charge and knight spin, and hit the knight before the horse charges again. After that you can just roll the horse charge after. The last fast knight spin misses at that point. And then you get another huge opening when he remounts. You barely have to roll anything at all. So you get a jump heavy, a light attack, and a charge heavy. It is also possible to punish every single attack in his moveset except one blueflame trail. I could provide proof if needed

I think Demon’s Souls will always be my favourite Soulsborne game. While I love difficult bosses, I prefer lore, world building and atmosphere and Demon’s Souls (original) is the best in the series in that regard to me.
Your old rankings are what convinced me to play Demon's Souls and Bloodborne, the latter of which became one of my favorite games of all time. I'm looking forward to hearing all you have to say about the other games after so many years.

Demon's Souls has my second favorite collection of bosses (just after Bloodborne) in the franchise. No game in the franchise has as much variety in bosses. Every boss is a puzzle that greatly rewards knowledge and experience above everything else. And each boss is harder for different play styles. The dark Souls and Elden ring collection of bosses can feel so same-y at times. Challenging, but boring. And when it comes to video game boss design, I prefer knowledge over reflexes. Where prep time is more important than invulnerability frames.
Honestly I just started playing this game again and I was wondering if demons souls was still popular in 10/04/2024 this video makes me think it’s still doing great, now the reason why I was wondering this is the ghosts of other people were frequent but we have seen game publishers make some games more lively with fake players so I’m happy to see I’m not the only one that had an itch to play this game again. \[T]/ 😊
We are so back. VERY excited for this series and the quality ranking video of all the bosses. Hoping Gael is still king, but I won't be surprised if Ludwig is at the top.
I hope you stay consistent when ranking these bosses after using all ur advantages and knowledge. People inflate Elden rings difficulty when they’re allowed to summon, choose not to, then claim the Elden ring bosses are harder than they really are
What I love about Demon's Souls bosses, compared to the other souls series, they all feel like puzzles for the most part. And the feeling of cracking that puzzle is soooo good all these years later.
