Thanks for your review! I do own several Melin hats. I agree with alot of your points. I wear mine daily for hard HIIT/Crossfit, running, and SUP surfing, I sweat ALOT. When the sweat band fills it runs down my temples too. I take off my hat, soak up the sweat with my tshirt and im good for another 10 min. As far as washing, I take mine in the shower after each workout to rinse it off. When it gets the white sweat stains I use a mild soap lathered up, do not squeeze concentrated soap directly on the hat. I lather it up ,and rinse it off and it's good to go. I have showered with mine dozens of times and it still looks great!
One major pro is I have a huge head, 7-3/4 to 7-7/8 and the XL fits me with plenty of room to spare.

Great vid! I have about 10 of these caps, yes I know, too many! I have all styles and my preference is the Trenches Icon Hydro and the Hydro Stacked. I wear them everywhere including the gym and they are amazing. I've had them for years! Really easy to clean and no sweat stains.

Thanks. Yes, I am the proud owner of 4 if them. I actually had 5, but gave one to a friend as I felt like I had too many and was becoming too much of a Melin fan boy 🤣

All depends on your head shape. Mine is bigger and rounder so I prefer the trenches hydro. Also you will notice the three sizes.

I think aside from the fact the the same factory in China makes identical hats with different branding on them, I received a melin hat recently(scout thermal) and there was a lot of (read: too much) branding on it. Two of the badges fell off while wearing in the first week and there’s a heavy metal tab under the bill which seems like it’s supposed to solve a problem that nobody has. I appreciate the thought someone put into buying me the hat but it was not well built, not my style, overly branded and definitely low build quality. Would never buy one of their hats.

To be honest I like the idea of their hydro line, but they need options with far less branding and a lower price point.

Good for big heads? I wear 7 5/8 and usually have to unbutton snapbacks to 2-3 buttons left and the hat doesn't cover the sides of my head.

Anyone suggest which size Odyssey to but for a 60.5cm head?
I usually wear Yupoong snapbacks with the rear closure halfway closed.

According to their size chart, it looks like an XL would be best for you.

Can you review the Branded Bills hats sort of like a comparison or versus video? They have a similar price point and are of premium construction. I wear several Branded Bills hats I wonder how they stack up to Melin.

Ive been wearing hats all my life, im unlikely to buy or wear a different brand. The trenches is my favorite hands down. Its meant for people with wider faces which you dont really have......so not suprised its not for you.

Thanks a ton for the honest review. We are always looking for ways to improve the performance and will be sure to address the absorption on the sweatband. Enjoy beating up your new melins and hope to see you out there 🙏🏻

Many who dish out this much coin for a hat will say it’s great out of sheer embarrassment for spending so much …. on a ball cap.

I have to admit they are higher performancing than my normal hats. I've dropped them in the ocean a couple times while paddle boarding and they've dried up quickly and maintained their original shape.

Since when did Americans drop the word 'custom' and adopt the clumsy word 'bespoke'?
