Bro. When you said they stay dormant until an animal walks by. I thought "would a roomba work?" And you answered me!

  • @diikidezz
    @diikidezz 2 года назад +44

They can lay dormant for months at a time, stupid things are like cockroaches they can survive almost anything. I've been trying everything, chemicals, essential oils, powders, sprays, topical treatments, vinegar and dawn dish soap and they still thrive.

The eggs can fall of the pets though so you will still see the eggs around. You can usually see them on dark fabrics that the animals may lie on.

Definitely appreciate this info. Thank you. I didn’t know. I blocked three of the bedrooms off in my house and only use two and blocked off one of my
Living rooms and still, if I walk in either of them I’ll get attacked by dozens of young very small fleas. So this makes a lot of sense. They notice I walk in so they leave the cocoon to try and feed.

I have a cat flea infestation all around the house. Luckily only in one bedroom. Hit them hard is my advice. We have a couple of flea traps - sticky pad type - and for about 2 weeks I sprayed carpets and soft furnishings and washed everything I could wash in the machine. After 3 weeks I still see the odd flea and I still spray around the area where I saw it. I had 1 new flea on the trap in my bedroom this morning (I count them). Tiny little thing it was so I assume newly hatched. Hope I've got it under control now. This video explains a lot of what I have experienced. Thank you so much.

Great video. I have had a landlord that won’t let me exterminate for bugs because of other tenants getting bugs. I fled my home because I was being bit behind knees and neck. I’ve vacuumed I’ve washed I’m a clean person but I am seeing them still. No one else is being bit. I moved I’ve given my dog to my son for now to see if this situation stops. I’ve viewed your wonderful video on my cars and I’m working constantly cleaning. The eggs live in clothes. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on furniture and clothes and product. Extermination worked on adult bugs but not the larvae and eggs. I’m gonna try what you’ve offered.

Poor kitty. Make sure you de-worm at the same time you de-flee your cat as if the cat ingest a flea they can get worms. Cats can get really sick carrying fleas and some cats are even allergic to them. Always make sure you use any de-flea/wormer that is for CATS only. Too many cats have died due to ppl using dog de-fleeing on them. Wash the cats bedding daily and vacuum your house daily and make sure any chemicals you use are safe for pets

Brilliant explanation! I've had a flea problem ever since my housemate moved out with her cat (because the fleas love my blood) and despite my traps and so on, it would explain why the number of bites I received would increase whenever I vacuumed.

I dosed my cats with flea meds, washed all my laundry/linens, and sprinkled the carpets with Borax. Left the Borax for a few hours, then vacuumed. That solved the problem. 🙂

So basically every 4-5 days make sure you wake these critters up and have them fall onto a sprayed floor after they bite ya?
We found vaccuming every inch of the house followed by steamer works well at cutting them down.
We had a mild case and I was bit to hell..... and I still feel as though they're crawling around the bites even though I can't see them.

thank you this was very informative and very thorough now I know what to do I am so over the fleas it's only been a week so hopefully I'll be able to get control of this I've tried baking soda cuz I saw that recommended and honestly it did dehydrate and kill some of the babies cuz I seen the jumped into my sink in the bathroom and I've been washing everything every two days I'm about over it I'm exhausted so I don't know how I can spray the entire house and then live in the house I'm waiting for them to die with a small puppy and I have nowhere where she can go because then she would just give them please not seeing fleas on her today but I know that there is one large adult flea that her and I both tried to catch the other day. other than that all I've seen is babies any advice would help. I was planning on Exterminating today and rewatching everything all over again for the third time this week fourth time for bedding I just don't know what else to do I can't stay away from the house for more than a few hours for at the most.

But cats that was in the house with fleas was put out in a screened/covered tent . Now is this something I should be concerned about as far a sthe fleas come to my house ? About 50ft from my garage and garage is like 100ft or so from house. This started beginning of last month. Now it's colder out up here . what would be best to treat garage, house or even yard. My cat died and left the house full of fleas. The cat had one small bedroom to herself, so i taped a sheet of plastic over the entire door frame. I have sprayed countless cans of Raid for bedbugs over the entire house for the last 2 weeks. It seems to be working, along with washing bedding every week. Today i walked past the room i had sealed off with plastic. I could actually hear the fleas jumping and hitting the plastic sheet, thinking they could get to me. I pocked a hole in the sheet ( higher up ) and sprayed half a can of Raid into the room. I can no longer here the fleas hitting the sheet since. I intend to repeat in a few days.

I brought two kittens home months ago & my house just needs to be burnt down at this point. It’s getting worse & worse. I have tried almost everything. Never use hartz ultra guard topical flea & tick prevention,Or the pet armor household spray, pet armor flea
& tick shampoo! They do absolutely NOTHING. . I’m going to do exactly what he said here in the video & hope for the best. 😫

@@GreenAkersPC how do you make it? Do you spray it around? Mop it? I will check to see if you have a video on how to set it up

I emptied a can of flea spray. I dig 3 flea foggers. And then mopped with apple cidar vinegar. I still see fleas. The entire house is tile. I vacuumed the one carpet and placed salt and baking soda on it. I still see fleas.

So I’m going to treat my floors this weekend and then set my toddlers crazy crab toy off while we go to a hotel. The crab will crawl all over the house waking up the fleas maybe 😂

I have Tryed half Apple Cider Vinegar half water and 2 drops of Lavender for the smell, I can see them moving but know permanently, they keep coming back in Humans and Home. I also got one cup of warm water and a few drops of Cedar Wood 2 drops for the smell, they keep coming back. They transfer to Humans to Humans, to Home, I never had pets at all but live in an apt. with Dogs in the building.

I wonder if the fleas are developing a stronger nervous system and becoming resistant to the pesticide.
