    The happy jack dip and dawn was all i ever used on my dogs, worked wonderful. I've never heard of using bleach in a flea bath dip. Although diluted I was still worried about their eyes and scent glands. I did spray around the kennels for disease control but my dogs were in another area.

    I love old school, thank you sir! Old school is great exercise!! Who needs the gym, the outdoors and doing things yourself is wonderful exercise. I find the outdoors healing and connects us with beautiful nature. When I mow and tend to my lawn, I sweep up/pick up the grass clippings and debris afterward, while neighbors use those noisy blowers (nothing wrong with it, jus not my thing and I am also trying to save money, not spend). Sweeping is good for the arms and as a 62 yo young lady I need the workout, lol! I save all clippings for my compost and mulch, no need to buy. Love this channel and have subscribed!!

    I can’t tell you how much I appreciated this video. My 7 yr old bulldog has been having hard time with allergies and fleas this summer ( never had a problem before) , and I wanted some good remedies for him. So I just started researching , and I loaded up on baking soda , acv, peridone iodine, and coconut oil. I gave him his first baking soda bath today for his skin and fleas, and I’ll use the iodine and acv next time.
    I’m taking notes of your products and I’m sure I’ll get those too. I’m really hoping to give my bulldog some relief so I hope this helps him🤞🤞
    I hope more new pet owners catch your video cuz the vets just want to keep you dependent on all those expensive ( and stressful ) doctor visits/:
    And grooming your dog yourself is so nice too instead of dropping them off all day with strangers. I really regret all the mistakes I made with my previous dog , but I just didn’t know another way.
    Thanks again for all the “old school” info 👍🏻👍🏻

      You need to wash them 3 times to remove the eggs stuck on their hair follicles. And oil prevents the flea eggs from sticking on hair follicles. Wash them 3 times at once, not on separate days to remove the eggs!

    Use bleach in my swimming pool. I use bromine and in my jacuzzi I use bromine and bleach is not good. Neither is tea tree oil and neither is not rinsing your dog off after dipping them in six to seven different chemicals and getting soap in their eyes and getting their ears wet inside. No good, especially with longer ear dogs. You can keep their ears closed and rinse their eyes and face and everything off just fine. You need to rinse them though. You got to rinse them with lukewarm water my friend

    Nextguard is dangerous. The FDA put out a release about it causing neurological issues. If you want to stick with something new school then I would just stick with topicals. Great video, though, very informative.

To see a man in his raw element. This wakes up my ancestors. This is a true path of goodness. Thanks for the videos.

    My grandaddy always used burnt motor oil for mange and it worked every time.... I adopted a dog who was in pretty ruff condition and I did just as I had always seen him do but it didn't work...it actually made it worse...I asked a few of my elders/his friends (he passed away a couple years ago) and they said it was because of lower sulfur content in the new synthetic oils... The old motor oils smothered the mites and the sulfur prevented secondary fungal infections from scratching....do u know if this is true.? I'd be grateful for any insight..thank u in advance.

    • @FeatherstonFamilyOutdoors
      @FeatherstonFamilyOutdoors  Год назад +2

      That is true that the oil does not contain the sulfur it did years ago. Try Happy Jack products.

    After bathing put cedar oil, tea tree oil and argan oil on their fur. The first two oils repell fleas and argan oil stops the flea eggs from sticking to the hair follicles.

      I heard tea tree oil is very harmful for dogs. Have you looked into that?? So

    • @CarrieGLMT
      @CarrieGLMT 15 дней назад +2

      And I'm an essential oil connoisseur. I use it in my business as well as a therapist. I do believe that tea tree oil is harmful on dogs. Although a little bit of coconut oil on their paws, their nose and their belly is good for their skin. And so is a little tiny microscopic drop of frankincense. Frankincense is okay. It also helps dogs to be cured of cancers that are just starting and other problems cellular wise in their bodies and on the outside of their bodies. A little dab of frankincense every now and then deluded with some coconut oil in the middle of their paws underneath massaged in there is okay tea tree oil. I don't know. I would look into that one because I heard that was a No-No. I'm going!

I watched your video, bought all products, replaced her bed, and did everything you did…I just was to simply say THANK YOU! My dog slept through the night for the first time in a very long time.

    Hey friend, add some essential oils to the dip, lavendar, cedarwood and 100% get some turmeric oil in there, turmeric is proven as the best oil against fleas and ticks, happy hunting :)
