    The quick summary: foggers will kill the fleas jumping around but their eggs in the carpets will survive and hatch out and you have fleas again.

    • @user-96.-
      @user-96.- 4 месяца назад

      Terrible summary, you didn't mention a crucial detail, the fleas are attracted to vibration and light/shadow change (host walking by) and can stay in the cocoon for up to 3 weeks if they see no reason to come out.

    Just going to say... we had a flea problem. My wife had me bombing and double bombing the crap out of the house. Money was not an issue. Fleas kept coming back. I saw a different video from you suggesting alpine wsg and treating the lawn (can't remember the chenical) I bought those on Amazon and followed direction. I also added Tekko pro growth regulator. 1 treatment... lots of vacuuming, another treatment just to be sure... no more fleas. Not 1. Thank you!

    The best explanation I have seen so far! Thank you very much. We just rented a house that is infested. My mother came with the family dog to see the house and my poor white dog that has no hair due to a recent grooming is infested! I was sooo mad as we do not have pets and paying so much a deposit and rent to get into a place that has fleas 😡... at least this will help understand as pest control has come and we have not seen an improvement.. only one week in.

    Just moved into a new house and couldn't understand why I all of a sudden had a flea problem when my indoor cats didn't have fleas prior to moving. The vibration explanation cleared up most of my confusion. I have treated my cats and my new house, now I know to wait 2-3 weeks and do it again to make sure I get the newly hatched. Going to hire a professional to treat the yard though because I think that they're coming in to my yard from the slum apartments next to me.

    A few years ago I had an infestation in my 1100 Sq ft carpet apartment. They were so bad, they would only bite me and I would cry going to sleep at night from the constant biting and itching. Once I've reached my ticking point I went into this whole other mode. I went and purchased Raid foggers, a vacuum with the bag, and also some white powder(can't think of the name right now). After setting bombs off, I would sprinkle powder on floors and vacuum about 3-5 times a day, throwing the bags away immediately after each use. Did this for about a week. And no fleas. 😁
    I'm having a similar issue in my new home, problem is I have hardwood floors not my previous carpet apartment. I'm not sure how to handle this task but it's 4am and I can't sleep for these fu*king fleas. One trip to the restroom lands about 6 bites smfh. I started by pulling area rugs and bathroom floor rugs (all thrown away). Not sure what my next steps will be but these fuc*kers better get ready, this is getting personal.

    This is such good information, thank you! My problem is that there are fleas in my car, and none of the pest control companies I've called will treat the interior of a vehicle. One suggested getting the interior detailed which seemed to work for a couple weeks but it was expensive and the fleas came back. I know the whole point of this video is not to use foggers, but I don't know how else to treat my car. Would using a fogger every 1-3 weeks for several months break the life cycle? HotShot has a flea fogger that claims to prevent fleas from developing into the biting adult stage so maybe that disrupts the cocoon stage you mention? I'm at my wits end here, so any advice would be so appreciated!

    I have two cats that stay indoors and NEVER go outside, however there are probably a hundred or so stray cats in my neighborhood, I think people come here to drop off their unwanted cats. They are constantly roaming around my deck and running in and out of my crawlspace where I'm sure other wildlife finds it's way (I've found two or three adult possums mating in my backyard one time before they ran under the house). My question is, is it possible to fight the flees from strictly inside the house or is it absolutely critical that stray animals be dealt with outside as well? I don't think it'd be hard to plug up the holes in the house but there are SO MANY cats wandering around outside.

    We live in a neighborhood full of cats and opossums. So I believe the fleas are coming from the grass when our dogs use the bathroom. Even if I treat my carpets... will I ever get rid of the fleas? Should I just vacuum daily?

    • @GreenAkersPC
      @GreenAkersPC  4 года назад +11

      Treat the floors and once they are treated run the vacuum daily if you are still having fleas after the first THREE weeks only retreat THEN. If you are still having fleas after 3 weeks, then they may be in the yard or your pets still. It is possible to track fleas in doors from the yard and never have a pet as well.

      What did you use and did it work? The guy said he was going to tell us how to get rid of fleas but just mentioned 1 affiliate product...didn't say how to use it on the yard or the house etc.

    My sister came to visit from Texas, our friend let us borrow his car and we let my sister borrow our car. During this period, my younger sister was watching our cat (we had him for like 8 years ZERO fleas) she took care of him, with her cat and both cats became infested with fleas, she said... "we are just getting bit by fleas" and waited until they were INFESTED to even begin to treat the cats and begin to spray chemicals in the carpet. The problem is my sister was staying with that sister while visiting, and they were taking the cats to the vet (all flea infested) in our car. I have a baby girl, she was born premature, so we cannot use heavy chemicals, and I do not want her getting bit by fleas but we will need to take her to the doctor and her upcoming appointments. My other son has asthma and cannot be around 1.) smoke 2.) toxic chemicals 3.)dust mites 4.) pet dander....
    Overall, I am very dissapointed in my sisters, they have been saying "but we are not getting bit in your car"... well give it 3 weeks and those fleas are about to hatch.
    This Friday my sister gives us back the car and we DO NOT want to track fleas into the home, I have a bad back and I can barely clean my house as is, let alone deal with a flea infestation.
    As for our cat, he is a hypoallergenic Siamese & my son was not as allergic to him, but when my sister merged both her cat and ours... they created a very toxic environment... and now both cats are getting flea treated.... and we paid $400+ for flea treatment. And now, we are going to have to shell out more money that we do not have to eradicate fleas from the car... and furthermore, we are now going to have to surrender our pet to the pet hospital because we cannot afford another $400 in bills. My sister is NOT paying for her cat, it is all coming out of our pocket and that is money we cannot afford. All this has made me so stressed out...
    Can you give me any other ideas for treatment???? that are not toxic to children? Thank you.

    Ahhhhhh HELP!!! I have been dealing with fleas for almost 2 months. I have just a room with a bathroom and no rug, I deep clean and vaccime daily. I bleach my floors and do laundry almost daily. I am well aware of the stages and can easily spot the larve so I am constantly killing and looking for the little white eggs/ larve and killing them. Although I have made progress-IT IS MARGINAL. I even wear garbage bags over my legs as soon as I enter because I can feel the large moving in my socks and pants. I have to wear a anti- flea night “suit” with a beenie so they don’t infest my hair. I always brush off and clean my pants/ clothes before coming inside. I have separate outdoor shoes and indoor shoes making sure not to track them back inside. I literally brush my bed sheets daily (I use a modified, dense broom head that sucks up the fleas, blood and eggs) yet after 1.5 months I still have to do these rediculous daily richuals - and yes, I have used an exterminator to no avail- I have made more progress on my own. Any suggestions?

    Very helpful! I have a small 620sqft apartment and can’t have pest control come without my apartment wanting to charge me all these fees. I’m looking at raid flea carpet treatment. Is this at all effective? How often do I spray? Every 10 days for a month?

    I am thinking of treating my home with a good dose of pt alpine flea and bed bug and I also vaccuum every other day and use the homemade dawn and water traps with the light above it. How long should I wait to mop or vaccuum after I use the pt alpine spray? Also I have no carpeting or area rugs I have rubber mats and laminate flooring in my home 🙏.

    So if I spray with a chemical like Ortho, and I still have fleas, will that spray that I did the week before still kill the fleas? Or do I have to spray again.

    What about underneath a home?
    I have a manufactured home. I don’t have a pet and my home is flea infested.
    We have been treating for about 3 weeks inside the home and the yard… we still have fleas so I’m thinking there may be an animal going underneath the home…

    I’ve recently (as in, about a month ago) brought in two kittens and they had fleas. I did use topical treatments on the back of their necks, though it didn’t prove much work. They still had fleas, as evidence of their constant itching. I’m now concerned that my home is infested, as one of the kittens were said to be done with treatment and were said to have no fleas, and yet we found plenty of fleas on him. What can I do to start? I’ve already applied topical treatment again on the both of them. I’m so lost on what to do, as I’m still a rookie on pets and fleas.

    This is awesome! I have fleas and have no pets ! I think my friend got them in my car after she thought she got her infestation under control. I have fleas in car, garage, walkway into house on the brick and cement. On the side yard of my house . I had 34 bites within 10 days mostly from my car and garage. I vacuumed my car and got it shampoos and washed inside, it seemed to help alps and then I sprayed precursor 2000 and had it vacuumed the next day. I had only 1 bite in car compared to 10 from last week. I vacccum house daily and that seems to help. I am get5ing pest control to come out and spray this week, I’m desperate to get rid of them. What else should I do ? Will they all go away I am having anxiety attacks Over these dank fleas .
