The funny thing about socks is that the fleas seem to stay in them, so the one time I had fleas on the carpet in my room, I only had visible flea bites on my ankles, where the socks were.
Socks. I am terrified to wear them now. They would jump on my socks and live there while biting my ankles to death. I had a pair of slippers with fur on them... Those because infested with hundreds. I threw those out. With no pets in the house... I wonder how long they can live. I vacuum and mop daily. I also do the lamp and a bowl of dawn water mix trap.
I would say, tidy up your mess 😳😷. Bad hygiene, mess on floor, a cess pit of stuff on the floor invites bugs, dermatitis, lice and all sorts. Don't blame the cat for your untidynes 😂. Your in no position to give any advice lol. Washup, empty the bin, dust, vacuum, tidy up, put things in cupboards etc, open windows and wash things trust me, the dust gone will improve your itchy problems.
Honestly if you manage to vacuum all the eggs fast enough, you will never really know because you would have solved the problem before they become a problem.
Flea preventatives only prevent. It's not a miracle or anything. My cats always have treatment on but I tend to get fleas when I get new rescue cat or they get exposed to other cats. Like the guy in the video. It happens. 🤷♀️
Sometimes, although your cat is treated, you could bring a flea in from outdoors on your shoe soles - or during winter they jump into the house. It could still lay eggs before it bites your cat (which would lead it to die since your cat is treated) but the eggs could hatch and then cause more fleas.
@ameliakowalska2494 You're right on. This is exactly what happens to us. We probably suffer more for the nice fall days where we have the windows open, and the cats sit by the window. Our house isn't well sealed at all and the fleas winterize in here almost every fall. It's impossible to not get a few, but we just have to be adamant about vacuuming, treating the carpets, the cats, washing bedding, etc. it's tough and sometimes simply unavoidable! Prevention medicine prevents, but it doesn't cease all flea possibility.

Best way to check for fleas . Check the animal for fleas . This was helpful in getting rid of fleas though

hows the flea situation going on rn for you? as im having the same problem without pets and its been haunting me for these past 2 weeks.
