🚫DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN OR SENSITIVITY TO
SMELL🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣
Hey Glampire Gang!
I hope you enjoy this little hair tutorial that I put together. This tutorial is for anyone who loves wigs and want to experiment with color without spending a ton of money on bundles and hair dye. That fabric dye was 5 dollars at Walmart and the wig was about 37 dollars from samsbeauty.
The supplies I used are listed in the video. - Хобби

That's how I dry my wigs with the fan or sometimes I put it on a mannequin head and I sit the mannequin head in the chair in a plastic chair and I let it dry like that
Hopefully this method works for me. I tried the watercolor method and it failed.
Had a very successful experience following your tutorial steps, thank you! Only suggestion to others is if you have skin or sinus sensitivities - forego the fabric softener. I used regular Snuggle for that step and then spent the last day almost having spells of dizziness and lightheadedness. 🥺 Now I have to figure out how to get the fragrance out of the wig, but the color turned out perfectly so I am thankful.
I’m sorry that happened to you, I’m pretty sure soaking it in plain water a few times will help dilute the smell . But also I did mention in the video that the fabric softener was optional. I never felt dizzy using this method but I also never used the snuggle brand either so I don’t really know how strong the smell is. Not to mention there is water to fabric softener ratio that plays a part not to mention how well you rinsed the fabric softener out of the wig after you let it soak or not. I’m sorry that you felt dizzy or lightheaded, i do hope you can get the scent out, last thing I want is for you or anyone else to pass out. Probably shouldn’t wear it until you Get all of the fabric softener out, just to be safe since you have a sensitivity to smell. Let me know how it goes 😢 and I will add the caution to the bio of the video to warn people who have a smell sensitivity 💕
@@Golden_Glampire I wasn’t trying to place blame or anything, nonetheless I am still grateful for this exquisite tutorial and now I can use it on other wigs in the future. I was excited about using the fabric softener to help keep it soft (also because the Rit has a potent smell 😂) just didn’t factor in beforehand how sensitive I am - to everything so that was completely on me! I’m gonna try soaking it, also maybe getting a baby shampoo to try and get the fragrance down. Thank you again so much for the tutorial!! Also for taking the time and care to even respond 🤍
No problem I’m just glad that you’re ok, honestly. 💕💕
I'm going to dye one of my wigs but just the bottom part
So pretty. I want to do this, but in pastel pink. How did you keep your curl pattern in the boiling water?
I didn’t leave it in long. Only dipped it for a few seconds at a time.
Did your lace part stained with the dye? I’m going to do the same method in pink and I’m very afraid that the lace will also dye as I’ve seen people have this issue
Can you show a video of doing baby hairs plucking?
Trying this tonight !😬
Please tell me.......does the use of Fabric Dye leave the wig stiff or crispy like? Does it lose its silk texture or soft bounce ?
No it doesn’t turn crispy, as long as the wig is rinsed after it’s dyed.
can you link the hair ?? xoxo
The lace doesn’t dye wow that cool!! I was worried about the lace on the wig changing color & getting dyed
Mine actually did dye :(((
Where do you buy fabric dye for human blend or synthetic hair
I believe I got this from Walmart but the craft store carries a wider selection.
Are you related to Ivy. You gotta be her sister 😂😂😂
what about the lace did it get fabric dye on the lace
I didn’t, but all lace may not react the same. I would do a test patch on the extra lace portion of the wig first to make sure.
Did you protect the lace with anything
I didn’t but I probably should have. 🤔
I been looking for you . This eve friend from amazon Katrina .
What’s up
Does it have to be rit dye more? I have the normal one. Will it still work?
I’m not sure, so far I’ve only used the rit synthetic dye but I’m pretty sure other brands will work it just depends on if the synthetic fibers of the wig are able to retain color or not 😌
depends on the wig tbh
Does it dye the lace. I'm sceptical
Neve Harper it didn’t dye mine but I guess it depends on the lace
Hey lady! What color dye is that
Peacock green
What if you wash it after taking it off would the dye come out😴💔
Not if you gently rinse it in cold water
@@Golden_Glampire ok 😥so that means no hair soap either!!!
kiya Williams you might have to use something a little more gentle like baby wash or something, I usually just use laundry detergent for my synthetic wigs but everyone has different skin sensitivities. Maybe you could use the shampoo and just dissolve it into the water rather than putting it directly onto the wig. And just lightly swish the hair around in the water and rinse.
@@Golden_Glampire k thanks😜
will the wig bleed if it gets wet?
from my experience, it can fade when wet yes. but it doesn't bleed while dry.
If you sweat it bleeds mine always does
your boss beautiful
Will all purpose rit faberic dye work???
No...Only The Rit Dye Made Specifically For Synthetic Fibers
I tried this and it didn’t change it at all 😩
Kali ann did you use the synthetic fabric dye or regular fabric dye?
Golden Glampire the purple rit dye
Kali ann if im not mistaking, rit should have a purple synthetic dye as well.
I’m sad I’ve tried it twice and left it in the water, I wanted it dark and I’ve tried it on two different wigs. It could just be my wigs? 🤷🏼♀️😂 yours turned out so good tho slaying 😍👏🏻
Kali ann It could possibly be the fibers in the wig. Im so sorry to hear that it didn’t work for you. 😢😢
