Mr. De La Rosa! I Sincerely and truly enjoy your channel. Thank you for showing us the viewer detailed and precise information to better ourselves in this beautiful hobby! I want you to kno that my 4yr old daughter is also a fan! From time to time I hear fish splashing out the water as she’s watching your channel in our living room TV! Thanks again sir.
I imagine eating raw fish prepared like you demonstrated would be much better then not immediately dispatching and bleeding them out thoroughly. The sashimi fixed like this would be superb! ❤
Awesome video! Really cool seeing people using techniques like this. The spike-and-bleed technique is ikejime, but you are using the even more advanced shinkeijime technique with the nerve destruction. In shinkeijime, destroying the spinal cord prevents the nerves from firing at death, which would deplete Adenosine (ATP) and build up Lactic Acid. After about 10-12 hours from dispatching, the Adenosine will have broken down from a sweeter ATP to a more umami IMP (Inosine Monophosphate), so the less ATP lost the better. A fast fight and shinkeijime makes for much tastier fish. Love to see it!
Wow what a nice day on the marsh. Nice to see the follow up on the Ikejime method you showed before. Definitely going to give it a try after hearing that it does make a significant difference. Do you mind sharing what tools you used/purchased to do the method?
i never ikejimed before. But heck, welp, now ima have to figure out how to ike jime a fish and try it out ‘cuz MDLR showed and told the difference with empirical, indisputable video evidence!
Mark, any reason why you process the fish after catching? You used to wait till you're done fishing then start to bleed them to keep them fresh the longest. Any reason why you doit sooner?
Look up Ike Jime, that's what I'm trying to explain in this video. I'm following the process exactly and it's amazing. Ten times better than everything I've ever done in the past.
Great looking fish as always. Hey I have a top water challenge for you and Christian see which one catches more fish .you get a whopper plopper in bone color with red eyes .and Christian use the Zara spook .I would love to see what a whopper plopper dose in saltwater I've 10 and my new pb on lake fork is a 17 pound large mouth which I released over to the texas parks and wildlife share a lunker program. I'm just curious as to how well it will do in the marsh .ok until next much love from #texas bass assassin.
I’ve tried the plopper before 😂 kept spooking them left and right. Then the tail prop rusted and wouldn’t rotate anymore. Worked really well for me on bass though 👍.
@@elijahdelarosa7661 I said they looked long and skinny. It's your typical light trout. Sorry if you'll were offended. I'm sure it was 15". It looked short because of how skinny those trout under lights look. God bless
I also enjoy the videos as I fish the same areas yall do. Possibly join the patron community in the future. Good luck with the RUclips. I would recommend doing a fishing out of the shittiest kayak video. That would be a good watch if yall could catch'em.

I agree. There’s a big difference.

I noticed the change immediately. The fillets were firm and delicious.

Thanks for your support 🙏
Love these videos. 👍
Nice catch’s 👍
great video!
Thanks David 🙏
ikejime is a perfect way to preserve a fish! A human way also. Win win situation.

It’s worth a shot to at least experience it. 👍

Wouldn't you want the heart still pumping when you're bleeding out? If you spike it prior is there a difference vs. after?
Heart still pumps after the spike.
The night footage looks awesome, have you though of putting some underwater lights on the kayak?
Had them on my PA12 and it was pretty much just for show. Takes too long to call in the bait.
@@MDLRFishing I meant it for video prettiness
😂 oh okay. Yeah my son was telling me that we need to install some. Maybe our next rainy day project.

Trout are so skinny in the lights
Dehooker?
Funny how we always see these houses right on the water but nobody fishing from them, what a waste!
Shouldn't you tell us (the viewers) where you are fishing? I don't even know what state you are in.
Sorry, I’m in Texas.
I stopped watching after a few minutes, due to you not telling us where you were. As a fellow RUclipsr, I thought you would want to know.
Well, thanks for stopping by and leaving a couple of comments. Best of luck with your channel.
Best of luck to your channel. I don't post much on mine. I do enjoy a nice fishing video.
He does mention Texas upper coast and marsh systems. Just this one earlier he mentioned it also
