I’ve had good success in rivers like that with a wacky rig senko with it being lighter green color. Definitely make sure your throwing mono or fluoro bc when they get finicky and they can see the braid they won’t hit your bait.

A tip for a field repair on plastic boats is to get a fire going, and heat a knife up to red hot. Then use that knife to melt the hole closed, use filler plastic from other things you have on hand if you need to and that will at least get you down the river until you can get it home and repaired properly.
I think you should go to the Saint John river and catch some smallmouth and Muskie!!
Go floating down the ocklawaha river in Florida, I went down there as a summer trip in a canoe and saw some MONSTER bass, gar and alligators. Crazy video!

I have a great suggestion for you if you want serious largemouth bass fishing. The Grand River, specifically Bruce Bayou and so many other great places east of Grand Haven, Michigan. June/July is HOT for bass, pike, catfish and gills! 🎣

Love the Guadalupe river! Outside of New Braunfels you can rent inner tubes and relax with a brew. Lived in Seguin TX and had it in my back yard. Thank you for bringing back some great memories! Carp aren't a native species in the United States. They were brought here as a food fish by the Europeans way back when. They are now considered a "Naturalized" species.

Jon I got a perfect place for you to go! Head on down to The Woodlands and fish lake Paloma (Taylor pond) there is a boat ramp and you can go on and put your kayak in there. absolutely heck of a time out on the water, caught some decent 6 and 7 pounders in there. I can't wait for you to go!!!
Nolan River float. Start upriver and end up at lake Whitney and work your way down. It's gorgeous. There's stripers, sand bass, largies, crappie, buffalo carp, commons, gator gar, long nose gar, spotted gar, spotted bass, and probably more. It's definitely my favorite river and I highly recommend it. Camping is relatively easy too
I’d like to see you float Crooked Creek here in Arkansas. It has lots of good small mouth fishing and there’s always a chance at a Ozark Bass and of corse largemouth and spotted bass.

In case you ever run in to a small hole in your yak in the middle of nowhere again there is a quick way to patch small holes on kayaks. Take a pocket knife and trim small slivers on the inside of the lip of your dry compartment and melt them around the hole until the hole fills in. It’s worked numerous times for me and is basically the same thing thing they do to patch a yak (maybe a little more red neck way) but definitely works. Awesome videos man.
Now this is the content I remember loving to watch
You can melt a soft plastic with a lighter against the hole for a solid temporary patch. Many roboworrms have fallen victim to this for me, cheers from California
