Can confirm! The shed is in such good condition that you can clearly see the "googly eyes" toward the top of the head that a water snake has. The main reason that "triangular/arrow shaped" head isn't a good guideline is that non-venomous snakes can spread out their jaw and body to look bigger and more threatening to potential predators. It's not exactly the same as how a pit viper looks, but it's close enough for confusion. Apparently the shed can take on that same shape, which is something I didn't know. Been watching since before this pond. Started watching on the first backyard pond. I'm a Herpetologist out here in Las Vegas. I just really want to commend you on not harming the native snakes!! They play a very important role in your ecosystem and are very beneficial. So far, all of your snakes that you've shown are harmless Water snakes or Rat snakes. This video contained both main Rat snake species native to your area. Love seeing it!! Again, Thank you! Also, it is difficult (sometimes) to tell a snake species from their shed. However, I can confirm with you that this snake shed is a harmless species. If it were a Cottonmouth (aka Water Moccasin) the scales would be larger and have a more pointed teardrop. It's also too large to be a Eastern Coral. So most likely a harmless Water snake or Rat snake using the water for extra moisture to remove the itchy skin easier.

I don't know why this showed up in my algorithm, but I'm so glad it did. Your ponds are great to see. Growing up, my grandparents had a farm with two ponds. The bigger one (probably 3 or 4 acres), they built themselves out of a swampy area at the bottom of a hill that was fed by a couple of tiny streams. They definitely had their fair share of algae. They'd go around in a rowboat clearing it all out manually with the oars. As a kid it was fun to help. The kind they had would come out in great big pieces that you'd chuck onto the dam or the uphill shore and just let it dry out. But otherwise it was really nice and seemed to take care of itself somehow. Lots of minnows, lots of frogs. Turtles sometimes. I'm not sure whether there were larger fish in the deeper parts since none of us were into fishing.
I can't believe its been two years already! Who knew how entertaining watching this process would be. 🎉 Always have another person there, on dry land, with you when you do maintenance on the water. Be safe!

The baby bass fry are fantastic. Congrats. I feel like an uncle, since I've been watching for years now. So my suggestion is you do all three. Awesome episode so much going on, I have been watching the eagle tower since you put it up and I have a suggestion, put a couple of branches onto the eagle tower so that it is not so smooth, it is possible that none of the birds is building there becasue there is nothing to stop the nest from sliding off. Thinking about it as well possibly some flat rocks to simulate a rocky ledge. Would be awesome to see an eagle nesting there.
I remember watching a grainy buzz bait video from you guys in like 2007 when I was just getting into fishing as a young kid. It’s awesome to see the evolution of the channel. As for the tiger fry, it would be interesting to catch about 10 and keep them together progressing from the 300 gallon, backyard pond, cedar falls, then 5 acre and see if they stay schooled together.
So glad you’re okay brother that is scary. Love the content. Been watching for over a year now. Your progression is unmatched! Beautiful land! Cheers bubba
Long story short, the boat I flipped over I sold the next day to the first person that stopped to ask about it. Six feet of water is the same as 6000 feet if you get into a bad situation. Life jackets work. Glad you're okay. The pond continues to amaze me. Some truly incredible videos! Keep em coming!!
For the cattails; Bring in water voles. They eat the cattail roots like it's candy. Might bring more snakes to the pond area though, but the heron, the eagle and the osprey are likely to take first pick.
OH NO! That grasslooks like Cabomba (Carolina Fanwort). It is a nightmare to control. You might consider adding some sterile Amir (grass carp) before that stuff ruins your pond. My 1 acre pond is only good for tilapia and blue gill because of the hell weed.
That brownish bird is a brown-headed cowbird! They love the same areas as red-winged blackbirds do, because they are nest parasites; meaning that they lay their eggs in other birds' nests.
For a streaming solution I would recommend a Blackmagic ATEM Mini. There are options for 4 or 8 HDMI inputs. The device will allow direct to RUclips streaming, or can act as a webcam via USB. Should do the trick. You'd end up creating one video stream that includes all the cameras on one screen - it wouldn't allow a viewer to pick a specific stream though.
You know, it's hard to believe that it's been 20 months since I started watching your series and You. Since then I have come to the mindset that if I ever get blessed enough to get enough land to put in a pond. It will be because of you and all the hard work that you have done to create such a peaceful and therapeutic area. See I am a disabled veteran, so your creation of the pond is very therapeutic for me. It gets me back out fishing and enjoying the woods. Otherwise, I would stay shut-in and hide from the world. So thank you...
Great update! You're learning quite a bit about pond maintenance and giving us all good lessons too! Your kids are precious! Be careful out on the water!
You need a load balancer for your internet connection(s). Basically, you just need a router capable of having more than one ISP connection and the software to be able to balance both connections. There are MANY options available. I am happy to talk more if you want. I'm a networking nerd by trade.
Stormchasers use bonding routers to combine starlink and cell phone internet together so they can live stream effectively when in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma. Looks pretty straightforward to do. Just plug in each modem into the bonding router and you are good to go.
You have some Guardian Angels! God bless you and your family, I'm relieved you made it through that scary moment. Do you have a safety buddy when you visit the pond in case this were to happen?
I think that you should definitely put the bass babies into the wetland area. That’ll be the perfect bass nursery. I’d worry that they would be eaten. Plus the wetland filter has lots of beautiful lilies for protection and great hiding places too. Best nursery for baby bass.
Thanks for the update! Your woodpecker is the Red-headed Woodpecker [Melanerpes erythrocephalus], a very beautiful specimen. Their lifespan is 10 (+/-) years and range between Southern Canada south into the east and into the south US. We, in Texas, observe them in the spring during their mating period. 🤠
The Bass fry - I'd leave them in the big pond. They have underwater vegetation to hide in. Maybe make sure they have enough underwater vegetation and other structures to hide in.
This is a break from all the garbage going on in the world. One of the best RUclipsr.
He's definitely not like any other channel . He gives a lot of information, straight to the point with really no bs . And it's easy to get sucked in

As for the tiger fry, it would be interesting to catch about 10 and keep them together progressing from the 300 gallon, backyard pond, cedar falls, then 5 acre and see if they stay schooled together.
Ironically enough, that woodpecker is called the red-headed woodpecker. 😂 Beautiful birds, really.
So glad you’re okay brother that is scary. Love the content. Been watching for over a year now. Your progression is unmatched! Beautiful land! Cheers bubba
Love your creativity, it's inspiring!
Wow it’s been two years now. That’s amazing. I loved watching following along with the progress when you first started.
Really got into fishing during Covid and happened to stumble upon you in the beginning of the build. Ive enjoyed the ride! Keep them coming!
watching from Philippines
I’m down here in New Zealand
I'm in the United States of America
Mr. Bamabass, your videos are fantastic as they are. You don't need to put titles like that. Keep up the great work!
And now my weekend is complete
Long story short, the boat I flipped over I sold the next day to the first person that stopped to ask about it. Six feet of water is the same as 6000 feet if you get into a bad situation. Life jackets work. Glad you're okay. The pond continues to amaze me. Some truly incredible videos! Keep em coming!!
The black bird w/brown head is a brown headed cowbird
Thank you for the content over the past two years. Life has been up and down but always looked forward to these videos and progress of the pond ❤
At this point I feel like I’m due for a fishing trip. Like distant family type of entitlement 😂😂
I go fishing almost all the time! I actually own a pet bass named Jaws!
@@gamingwithscottie1478 lol I do too! I meant at his pond 😂
@@armoredfitness1 Oh, I get it!
I vote to put a handful in the 300gal!
You should 100% take one bass fry and put him in the 300 gallon aquarium and raise him from birth.
Who’s with me
👇
The Tiger King
So cool. Just being so connected to nature is a great kind of life.
You should name the water snake Gyarados
or maybe even "Karait" from the movie, "Rikki-Tikki Tavi"
You know, it's hard to believe that it's been 20 months since I started watching your series and You. Since then I have come to the mindset that if I ever get blessed enough to get enough land to put in a pond. It will be because of you and all the hard work that you have done to create such a peaceful and therapeutic area. See I am a disabled veteran, so your creation of the pond is very therapeutic for me. It gets me back out fishing and enjoying the woods. Otherwise, I would stay shut-in and hide from the world. So thank you...
Congratulations on your two year anniversary,it’s been a pleasure watching your progress and knowledge to help guide us on the journey!
Charlie and his two 🧚🏻♀️ Angels with Johnny and June. 🎯Perfect! 😎
Great update! You're learning quite a bit about pond maintenance and giving us all good lessons too! Your kids are precious! Be careful out on the water!
2 years. Wow. I’ve been here since before you built the pond in the backyard. Time flies when you’re having fun.
Lillypads are really good at out competeing other plants so be careful they dont get out of control.
Great vid!
Glad you made it out safe 💯 💪 🙏
