Ponds in nature are not lined with synthetic polymers as the pond liners he laid out are. The only materials pond liners are made from are PVC, HDPE, Butyl and EPDM rubber.
PVC is Polyvinyl chloride, a synthetic polymer plastic that is NOT eco friendly. This product of pond liner is made from fossil fuels and contains chlorine and hydrogen molecules which when heated [Say from a forest fire over the pond super-heating the ground and reaching the liner] releases hydrochloric acid into the soil. When hydrochloric acid is heated to high enough temperatures, it releases toxic vapors which mix with water molecules in the ground and the atmosphere where it once again risks becoming an acidic compound which harms the very kind of ecosystem he is trying to mimic and more.
HDPE is High-Density Polythylene, a thermoplastic that is made with Ethylene obtained from petroleum. As a synthetic plastic this too is not biodegradable and under heat stress, as a thermoplastic, quite literally drips and melts into the soil.
Butyl is a synthetic rubber, again not biodegradable. It is a copolymer of isobutylene and isoprene. Isobutylene is a chemical agent in the process of making Butyl rubber by dehydrating tertiary butyl alcohol. Isoprene is a natural compound delicately balanced in the natural ecosystem. The industrial uses of isoprene is anything but "naturally balanced" and any release of these substrates in butyl rubber and the chemicals used in the process of it's making through any form of heating, burning, fluctuating temperatures risks releasing unnaturally higher quantities within it's localized setting of isoprene, inorganic compounds and chemicals from it's processing.
EPDM is once again a non-biodegradable synthetic rubber. And like pretty much all rubbers, EPDM is ALWAYS used with compounded fillers like carbon black, the incomplete combustion of coal or tar. It's also very often processed through crosslinking polymers via the vulcanization of sulfur and or peroxides.
Look at all that huge ecologically harmful information regarding his "healthy and thriving ecosystem" all because he decided to include the Human variable into his equation and use an unnatural, synthetic material to line the pond.
HE SHOULD HAVE JUST USED CLAY. Now, unless he actually rips it apart and removes the liners [Which I 99.99% believe he won't do] when he's done with whatever he's doing with the pond, all of that's going to sit under there for years and years through hot and cold seasons, he'll die of old age or it will be entirely left and forgotten, releasing toxins and chemicals into the localized environment and the very water he sought to provide wildlife with. Humans are so stupid, it only takes one minor mistake and suddenly they screw up a nice patch of wilderness in 50 years from now. Sure it's okay now but in the years that such a small factor begins to wear down and release harmful substances over time, this guy will have been passed away by then and the legacy of his pond will be nothing more than a waste deposit of localized toxins that animals instinctively avoid and refuse to drink the water of.
He needs to fix the mistake for animals of the future, unless this was all just a fleeting impulse desire for the moment as it usually is for Humans, showing off something they don't actually hold sincerity towards. If he actually cares about the wildlife like he proclaims to in this video then he'll tear it all down, remove the liners and rebuild it the RIGHT way. Like I said, ponds in nature are not lined with synthetic polymers.

⏳️THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the last age in which God saves man from the destruction of this old world"
(On earth, that is, the final purpose of My work and what level I must achieve in this work before it becomes complete. I have been doing My work on earth for thousands of years, and until this day I am still doing My work for it. So now, at a time when many people have long failed in their hopes I still continue in My work, continue in My work I should do judge and punish people. The function of My judgment will give man the ability to obey Me better, and the function of My punishment will allow man to change more effectively. That's because I wanted to make all the nations outside of Israel as obedient as the users, and make them real people so I hold land outside of Israel. This is My rule, this is the work I fulfill among the Gentile nations. The work that I have managed for thousands of years is completely lived in only one man at the last day. I just opened the entire mystery of My rule on people. I have revealed to man all My mysteries hidden for over 5,900 years. Who is Jehovah? Who is the Messiah? Who is Jesus? My work revolves in these names. How should My name be done in any of the countries that call Me by any of My names? Because My work is done on you, I will destroy the 6,000 years of God's reign plan is close to the end, and the doors of the kingdom have been opened for all those who seek His exhibition. Dear brothers and sisters, what are you waiting for? Are you waiting for God to appear?)
      Almighty God said
ALL PEOPLE are CONNECTED to a PURPOSE of My WORK. On EARTH, that is, the FINAL purpose of My WORK and WHAT level I must achieve in this WORK before it becomes COMPLETE. When I have BEEN with Me UNTIL this DAY, people STILL DON'T CONCERN what My WORK is about, if you DON'T HAVE any SIGNIFICANCE for them to be with Me? People who FOLLOW Me can KNOW My WILL. ☀️
I HAVE been doing My WORK on EARTH for THOUSANDS of YEARS, and UNTIL this DAY I am STILL doing My WORK for it. Although there are many extraordinary things that belong to My WORK, the purpose of this WORK is not accepted to CHANGE, just as for example EVEN THOUGH I am FULL of JUDGMENT and CHASTISEMENT of PEOPLE, what I do is for the SAKE of the BETTER that IMPLEMENTS My CHANGE and further EXPANSION of My WORK to ALL GENTILE NATIONS, when a PERSON is MADE PERFECT. ☀️
So NOW, at a TIME when many PEOPLE have long FAILED in their HOPES I STILL CONTINUE in My WORK, CONTINUE in My WORK that I SHOULD do JUDGE and PUNISH people.
Despite the fact that man has not been told what I say and despite the fact that he has no desire to devote myself to My work, I still carry out My duty, communicating the purpose of My unfinished work. that will change and My original plan will not be broken.
The FUNCTION of My JUDGMENT will GIVE man the ABILITY to OBEY Me BETTER, and the FUNCTION of My PUNISHMENT will ALLOW man to CHANGE more EFFECTIVELY. Even though I did for the SAKE of My GOVERNMENT, I did NOT get a LITTLE thing that was UNBENEFITABLE to man. ☀️
Even TODAY, many people are STILL NOT RELATED to My GOVERNMENT, because they have NO INTEREST in these things, but ONLY CARE ABOUT their OWN FUTURES and DESTINIES. No MATTER what I say, people STILL DON'T CARE about the WORK I do, INSTEAD ONLY, FOCUSED on their FUTURE GOALS. ☀️
If MANY things CONTINUE this WAY, how will My WORK EXPAND? How CAN My REPORT be BROADCAST WORLDWIDE? You should KNOW, that when My WORK EXPANDS, I will SCATTER you, and I will ELIMINATE you, as JEHOVAH ELIMINATED a TRIBE of ISRAEL. ☀️
All of this will be used by Me to be used throughout the world, and to spread My work among the Gentile nations, when My NAME may be EXALTED by the OLD and CHILDREN alike, and My HOLY NAME is EXPLAINED by the MOUTHS of PEOPLE from ALL TRIBES and NATIONS. In this FINAL AGE, My NAME WILL be TAKEN to the GENTILE NATIONS, because the GENTILES will SEE My WORKS, that I use My PROMISE ALL POWERFULLY because of My WORKS, and My WORD can do it NEARLY FULFILLED I will make ALL people KNOW that I am NOT ONLY the GOD of the USERS, but ALSO the GOD of ALL the NATIONS of the GENTILES, even MINE WHO are CURSED: I will LET ALL people SEE that I am the GOD of FULL CREATION. This is My greatest work, the purpose of My work plan for the last days, and the only work that must be fulfilled in the last day.
.. The WORK that I HAVE MANAGED for THOUSANDS of YEARS is COMPLETELY LIVED in only one MAN at the LAST DAY. I just OPENED the ENTIRE MYSTERY of My rule on PEOPLE. Man knows the purpose of My work and moreover has understood all My mysteries. And I TOLD THE MAN ALL ABOUT THE DESTINY that he CONSIDERED. I have REVEALED to man ALL My MYSTERIES HIDDEN for over 5900 YEARS. 🙏🙏
WHO is JEHOVAH? WHO is the MESSIAH? WHO is JESUS? You should know all this. 🙏
My WORK REVOLVES in these NAMES.☀️
      Do you understand that?
HOW should My HOLY NAME be PRONOUNCED? HOW SHOULD My NAME be done in ANY of the COUNTRIES that CALL Me by ANY of My NAMES? ☀️
My WORK is now EXPANDING and I will SPREAD its ENTIRETY to ANY and ALL COUNTRIES. Because My WORK is DONE in YOU, I WILL DESTROY YOU the 6000 years of GOD'S REIGN plan is CLOSE to the END, and the DOORS of the KINGDOM have been OPENED for ALL those WHO seek His EXHIBITION. ☀️🙏
Dear brothers and sisters, what are you waiting for?
What are you looking for? Are you WAITING for GOD to APPEAR? Are you LOOKING for His FOOTSTEPS?
Really longing for God's appearance! And God's footsteps are really hard to find! ☀️
In the TIMES LIKE NOW, in a WORLD LIKE this, WHAT SHOULD we do to WITNESS the DAY of GOD'S APPEARANCE? ☀️
WHAT SHOULD WE DO TO FOLLOW GOD'S FOOTSTEPS? ☀️
Questions like these are faced by all those who are waiting for God to show up. You've thought about all of this more than once---but what was the outcome? Where does God show up? Where are God's footprints? Did you get the answer? Many people will answer like this: "God appears among those who follow Him and His footsteps are among us; IT'S JUST that SIMPLE! ☀️
Anyone can give a formulaic answer, but do you understand what the manifestation of God or His footsteps means?
GOD'S APPEARANCE REFERES to His COMING to EARTH to do His WORK PERSONALLY. ☀️
BRINGING His OWN IDENTITY and DISPOSITION and in HIM'S NATURAL METHOD, He COMES DOWN to HUMANITY to FULFILL the WORK of STARTING an AGE and ENDING an AGE. 🙏

Not quite. Impermeable plastic liners are just more xenoestrogenic pollution (that slowly break down into microplastics that then become impossible to remove) and domestic cats are invasive super-predators.

Hence, ponds should be sited in their natural locations using natural clay liners, that are just slightly permeable to help hydrate the surrounding ground.

This video made me cry!! I could hardly believe that someone could care so much about nature and give back to it. I grew up in the rural south of the United States, in Louisana and Mississippi, and as a little girl, I used to love exploring the streams, ponds, and the forest on my grandfather's property. And to see someone care so much about wildlife and nature to take the time and do the hard work to create a small piece of Heaven is so moving!
You literally created a small example of what Heaven must be like -- your creation brought so many different examples of life and nature together. The video is just extraordinary! I wish there were more people like you in the world! Most people tend to destroy nature and take it for granted! *Thank you for this beautiful work of art! And; here's proof of my point; Club of Rome, The First Global Revolution, 1991:
“In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill (this is absolute proof that man made global warming is a fabrication)…. But in designating them as the enemy, we fall into the trap of mistaking symptoms for causes. All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy, then, is humanity itself.”

    • @thechickenwizard8172
      @thechickenwizard8172 Год назад +2

@@SBY77. I did use a liner; what I ment by natural substrate is that instead of using gravel, sand or aquasoil like i had before, I just used subsoil from my garden. Supposedly it's a good choice since too many nutrients are bad for pond health, and having a poorer substrate prevents too many nutrients from accumulating quickly. Adding more plants will help keep the nutrients from fallen leaves and animal waste in check, and the soil still acts as a good growing medium for the plants to root into.
I was also inspired by the channel "wild your garden with joel", and ended up using the "fleece sandwich " method for the liner demonstrated on their builds. It keeps the liner protected wile also hiding it pretty efficiently.

My grandpa accidently made a wildlife pond like this once. He dug a hole to make a pool but never got around to finishing it. When he finally got around to finishing it 5 years later, the pond had filled with cat tails, frogs, dragonflies, you name it. Of course his was far less managed but I loved that pond, hearing the frogs at night was so peaceful.

What a work of art. So inspiring to see what one man can accomplish for nature on a small patch of land. That was probably the shortest and longest 15 mins I've ever watched because I absolutely loved every single second of it. This was basically a well-made movie but one that is so real and has a significant impact. Most people wouldn't even notice one of the small details you covered; you relayed them all, matter of fact. Saving the cat was just as awesome. I would love to follow your lead and make a space for nature one day (considering I plant a tree as part of National Tree-Planting Day every year).
