If you manage to get Marshadow (gen 7 legendary ghost fighting) You have a pokemon with a possible moveset no pokemon has a resistance to (Ice, fighting, ghost covers every single pokeon in the entire game), with a stat boosting attack move (power up ounch) and two abilities buffing the everliving sh*t out of your moves with technician and Iron fist. As a combination with shellder it carried me through 2000. It's not as bulky as Dusknoir, so you have to be careful there, but it has absolutely no problem carrying you through classic
Just made it to 195 with electric terrain rising voltage raging bolt, also had dragon pulse and flamethrower. Him Lokix and Rypherior basically carried all the way until I didn’t have an answer for mega ray
