Dry skin is still pretty good imo. In my last rival fight, parasect was my switch-in to ivy's blastoise, who still did a chunk with his hydropump. She would then always switch back into Ray, never letting me effectively horn leech. Dry skin would have negated that chip damage.

This was the last Pokemon I expected to be broken
I literally used this and it is indeed amazing half the reason I beat classic
Tbh every pokemon can be made useful once you have their egg moves and passives

great supporter for my gen 1 run. was the best support for my blastoise.
when his speed stat isn't important anymore.. then it is such a great asset
I love using parasect in every game I can to challenge myself so I was glad my loyalty paid off when I got Triage
