A little note for the future. If you see a P or an N next to a move or ability, that means that it is either not implimented or partially implimented. This means that some moves and abilities only work partially while others don't work at all and some of the moves and abilities you mentioned sadly do not work like they should yet. Thankfully those things will be updated in future updates.
Also another PSA on top of this, Upper Hand specifically is partially implemented like a lot of other moves, but the way it’s partially implemented makes it BUSTED. It’s basically fighting type jet punch
Ok so, shiny pokemon actualy serve a purpose in this game other than look prety. At the end of each fight you get a selection of pokeballs containing items, these pokeballs have a small chance of upgrading to the next tier, shiny pokemon in your team increase that chance, so the more shinies you have in your team the higher your chance of getting better items. This makes the shinny egg gacha the best option for the most part.
If you see on the starter screen a pink border around certain Pokemon, this is Pokerus and it changes every day. This means that you get 1.5x EXP for your Pokemon and it can spread to others in your party. What I like to do is choose the least expensive Pokerus Pokemon and add it to my team so it can spread it my initial starter. Then once it spreads I can get rid of it and continue the process. Having that extra EXP boost is really important in later runs
Great tip since it's something the tutorial alludes to but doesn't explain what it is, expecting you to find out by yourself (which is a great thing the game does often btw)
Fun fact: The rng in this game is not random at all, every action you do in a battle has a predetermined result no matter the timing you do the action or how u mess around in the menu. Example if you choose a move that move missses (lets say its the first turn of the battle) and u close the game reopen it (that makes the game restart the battle) and choose the same move again it will always miss. Same happens with the rewards at the end of each battle so same battle same rewards no matter how many times you repeat it. That is a very abusable aspect of the game and can make your runs way easier.

Glad to see you found this! By the way, to get regional forms for Pokemon like Pikachu, you have to evolve them in certain biomes or at certain times, which can really be RNG-dependent.
It's not entirely RNG dependent, you just have to play Classic enough. Bring at least one mon that you want to evolve, as well as as many shinies as you can without sacrificing your run. Once you get a run that nets you an early map, you can start plotting your course, starting from the biome you're currently in. Biomes in Classic come in a fixed order, with some branching routes available. This means that with a map, you can pick and choose where you end up, and that'll let you catch specific pokemon, or get certain evolutions/forms.
I’m so glad that this game has become so large, I joined when the most popular person playing it had a few thousand subs, and now I’ve seen both you and ALPHARAD play it

I'm surprised that some of the most helpful tips I've had, have been from the comments on this video. Cool community, thanks!
Here is a great tip: Start with Quilfish (egg move Barb Barrage), Scraggy, and Drilbur. The scraggy sweeps early game, and Quilfish sweeps late game. Do not remove them from the team, unless you find their evolutions (Catch a Scrafty and replace the Staggy) It can get you into at least the early 100’s
Being like.. 100 base spdef, it's not that useful anyway. Besides, it won't have to worry about being hit supereffectively by special attacks when most things hit it on the physical side.
first phase just switch between a shedinja and a steel type, literally just struggles itself to death, set up on it til it dies, then stun it and pray with priority moves
I beat it by constantly switching the second pokemon out with a fairy pokemon and back so it kept getting attacked while the first pokemon spammed dragon moves 😭
I set up a leach seed and will o wisp and after that spammed kings shield and protect between two different Pokémon. Occasionally hitting it with Moonblast to dwindle down health.
Another tip : always have a tab with Pokémon types and counters to those types. You don’t have to study them, just look at them while playing. Some of the counters to Pokémon are also quite logical like fire counters grass because fire burns grass. Water counters fire because water puts out fire. Stuff like that
Those egg moves aren't guaranteed for every egg - only the first one of any given species is guaranteed. Hatching the same pokemon multiple times doesn't always give a new egg move after that first one.
Technically, it does give you an egg move each time. It's just that if you already have that egg move, nothing happens, and it seems like it doesn't give you one.
@@Rawrtortle which means, as I said, it doesn't always give you one. If it rolls a move you already have unlocked, it fails and instead gives you nothing. You aren't technically correct, you are strictly wrong.

I never really cared for rivals in any of Pokemon games (except for maybe N from Black & White), but I actually got emotional over Ivy's dialogue. I expected a usual "Oh well, I lost, good luck", but her final dialogue absolutely blindsided me, especially after the penultimate battle with her where she didn't say a single word, seemingly obsessed with winning at least once to the point where she got a fricking mega rayquaza on her side. And in the end, after another loss, she understood the higher purpose and just hoped for you to get home safely. Why am I getting so emotional about a browser roguelike game's story
:) I beat floor 200 in classic mode for the first time with Latios and Mudbray as my starters - we went all the way! Having a fairy type Pokemon comes in clutch when fighting Rayquaza - shout out to Dachsbun which I didn't intend to keep initially but it proved to be really helpful for switching. Fast birds are also unsung heroes in runs, picking up quick kills with acrobatics when you need them the most. (Thank you Talonflame)
At 4:45, you state that after hatching a legendary, you get an achievement that gives you another voucher that for 25 rolls. However, after hatching my first shiny, I got the same "Shiny Egg" achievement but it only gives me 100pt's and I did not receive the golden colored voucher. Has this been changed? Am I doing something wrong?
After seeing some other videos of PokeRogue, i decided to give it a shot, and was pleasantly surprised to find that it's partially translated! Pokemon and attack names were translated into german, my browser default language. Item descriptions were still in english, but seeing fangames that aren't Just english is extremely rare. I don't know how many languages are supported, but this is another big positive in my book. And then I didn't get past the second battle because 37k players were online. Lmao.

Looks really good but the difficulty is something else, guess thats standard for roguelikes until you unlock things. My main issue with it is its just a stat boost game. Use dragon dance and you win as it carries over for multiple battles making every run pretty much the same. Really cool to see every pokemon playable though
I was extremly lucky and got Zacian very early out of a egg. With it I cleared the game for the first time. 3 good attack moves and sworddance and you just walk through
I was thinking the same thing - i didn't get a voucher for the shiny achievement. My only thought is maybe he was mistaken because the icon for the achievement is the same as one of the gacha tickets?
I honestly was kind of terrible my first couple of runs but run 5 I got so lucky. I had a battle bond greninja because I hatched a froakie from an egg from some gym leader on run 1 and my team of ash greninja, Persian, Venusaur, golurk, and SHINY (my luck popped off) ariados got me through with greninja being super overleveled and curb stomping everything other than eternatus. I swept both Cynthia and the Ivy final battle with it it was wild
You can hse a master ball on a boss with full hp, but don't feel too bad about wo chein, i find those 3 to be the most common legends to find, in my 2000 floor run i caught 8 wo chiens and that got me good nature and max ivs but honestly where would i use him?
Zwiggo the first time I saw you played it I got addicted as you bro and that was last night and cause I didn't know anything I only got to floor nine on ALL 12 tries

Zwiggo the first time I saw you played it I got addicted as you bro and that was last night and cause I didn't know anything I only got to floor nine on ALL 12 tries
I finally beat poke rouge last night Eternatus wasn’t that hard as I burned and salt cured it lol. But yeah I picked the re try battles options didn’t use it much but I didn’t want to be stuck forever not being able to beat it. But yes the game is so addicting!
Pokémon that have a tax that boost their own stats are extremely good in this game because stats carryover from fight to fight
Yoo If you killed a pokemon by a fault or nearly dead in boss battle just refresh the tab and the battle will restart
