Fun Fact: Only in Gen 4, Rotom was Electric/Ghost in all of its Formes. Also, Storm Drain didn't make you immune to Water moves. Gen 5 fixed both of these deficiencies.
Technically, Storm drain was changed to make you immune to water moves in gen 4, in the Mystery dungeon games. The same for lighting rod in gen 3 with the first Mystery Dungeon games. Still not special attack increase until gen 5.

Wolfe is the reason I watched Worlds for the first time this year. Super sad about his loss.
In case you were wondering: after going 18-0 in games (9-0 in sets), Wolfe lost his next 3 sets in a row and was knocked out of Worlds in the top 32 with a record of 9-3.

Park already dropped out of worlds with a 5-3 record yesterday.
There are no challengers to Ray Rizzo's GOAT status... There have been more than 10 years since he retired and no one came even close... And the competitive format is getting worse every day as opposed to when he played. Gen 4 and 5 are problably the most complete balanced competitives experiences ever. Nowadays you just pick your one shot machine and pray to not get counter one shot machined basically.
@@Nobody-su9km Rizzo has 3 worlds titles in a 3-peat. He is absolutelly amazing and the GOAT but valuing a gen over others makes no sense. Gens 4 and 5 where less gimmicky but not necessarily more balanced or better
Wolfe, if you see this, I know you're probably really upset and/or sad about missing top cut at worlds. I just want you to know that it's ok, we're all still proud of you and you should be proud of yourself. I cant imagine working as hard as you do on all of competing, content creation, and god knows what else, the fact that you do so many things at once and still manage to reach the heights that you do is inhumane. Obviously all of us would've loved to see you win worlds again but that insane 18-0 start to worlds might honestly be even more impressive

Since I'm relatively early, Wolfey, do you think you could make a video sometime for the more casual fanbase explaining stuff like how competitive pokemon works? The formats, the qualification processes, the rules, the types of events ranked in hierarchy, etc etc.
Been watching a lot of your content and that level of background would be awesome to digest and understand.

@DoveJS Arceus was an event only pokémon in gen IV. Being only available at lv100, Arceus couldn't have been fully EV trained. Only being used in unofficial tournaments and later being banned to Anything Goes DPP. In gen V and above is when Arceus could be fully trained and used.

Cresselia is absolutely amongst the GOATs of Pokémon in doubles. It’s the ultimate medic and support Pokémon, but then also can blast you with Ice Beam, especially handy against mons weak to Ice.
