This was an awesome video! I would love for you to do this with all regions (with Alola you should make a list that doesn't include incereroar, or a top 11)
Strongest Gen 1 Pokémon for me (top 5): 5th: Gengar, 4th: Gyarados, 3rd: Chansey, 2nd: Zapdos, 1st: Clefable. Mew and Magneton would be strong alternative choices for this list. Mew was my 'go-to' choice when I wanted to go hyper offense and not use two defensive mons like Skarmory + Blissey. 5 attackers instead of 4 helped with that strategy. But you know the secret 0th place in this list for me? Primeape. Gen 9 has turbo-charged Primeape. 252 HP, 252 DEF... Bulk Up, Drain Punch, Rage Fist, [Coverage 4th Move] With an eviolite. Rage Fist is such a good move. Tera ghost and this thing becomes a powerhouse. It becomes a full-blown mistake to U-turn or even volt-switch against this Pokemon. Now I put Clefable at 1st place in this list but not just for competitive reasons but rather how it allowed me to complete the hardest difficulty level of Pokemon Reborn and Pokemon Rejuvenation, using a wide variety of Clefable strategies. In competitive, there was also an almost undefeatable Clefable strategy in National Dex Anything Goes. Clefable's strongest moves aren't even legal to use in most ladder tiers, that's how busted it is in its raw 'unban-listed move' form. I made a Gen 1 only team for Gen 9 OU, but only managed to hit 1600 rating though. There is a lot of firepower in Gen 9 and Gen 1 Pokémon just don't have all of the tools required to deal with them all efficiently.
When I clicked on this video before I started watching it I was thinking "I'm going to say Arcanine as #1 with how much it's accomplished over the years" love these videos mate!
Love any mention of Mega Kangaskhan! I was really passionate about VGC in Gen 6, and as somebody who will always uphold 2014 as the best VGC format, Mega Kangaskhan's supremacy, and the way the format revolved around it and countered it, is something really interesting to me. A format which somehow had perhaps the biggest gap between its best Pokémon and the runner-up, yet ended up having such varied teams because everybody knew that and played for it is such a showcase of how metagames develop
Would be cool to see this for every region so far, then a video putting the number 1 from each region against each other. Of course Incineroar would probably win, but I still think it would be a fun and interesting video!

We're early today, boys
No Dragonite? Really?
I think it’s cause you could really get it until gen 2
Dragonite constantly gets outclassed by other dragons throughout generations
Also it's typing sucks
SV early meta dragonite is probably the strongest dragonite ever been that too cause it can change typing through tera but that also gets powercrept
@@Blue_chess007been a very long time since I've played any competitive pokemon. But I remember using multi scale thunder wave substitute dragonite, and it being quite good
Making this a series would be SICK! Some of the later gens would definitely make it tough to decide.
Kangaskhan is my favorite Pokémon ever. Glad to see it getting love in the video!
No Dragonite on this list? Kinda shameless
I know 😢
H A N D S 14:07
Best of Jhoto pokemon:
Tyranitar
Scizor
Murkrow
Azumarill
Poiltoed
Raikuo
Entei
Suicune
Porygon 2
Hitmontop
Damn i barely even got 10, with three legendaries
Smeargle over Murkrow probably for longevity
Id switch murkrow for skarmory tbh
@@txtzx do you watch this channel normally? Skarmory is awful in vgc
@@snakexpert552 yeah you're right... but most of the other pokemon here have never seen usage stats near what murkrow saw before tornadus came out in SV
But idk what to move, probably raikuo
Azu over Murk too. Murk was a niche pick and then good in like one ruleset.
I LOVE Clefairy !!! The colour, the Shape, Type & Moves !!!
Seeing clips from Pokémon rusty fills me with joy
No Dragonite?
Where is Dragonite?
“As well as bulkier as well” for Mega Gengar, haha I love it
I am so proud to see wolfey video on gaming trending list, knowing how much effort he puts in them he just deserves it.
This was an awesome video! I would love for you to do this with all regions (with Alola you should make a list that doesn't include incereroar, or a top 11)
Strongest Gen 1 Pokémon for me (top 5):
5th: Gengar, 4th: Gyarados, 3rd: Chansey, 2nd: Zapdos, 1st: Clefable.
Bulk Up, Drain Punch, Rage Fist, [Coverage 4th Move]
With an eviolite.
I like your little gif of Gengar for all the segments he’s in.
Im really liking the new thumbnails, Wolfe!
When I clicked on this video before I started watching it I was thinking "I'm going to say Arcanine as #1 with how much it's accomplished over the years" love these videos mate!
Can we just take a moment to appreciate these beautiful thumbnails
That guy all happy winning towards the end was funny
the animated pokemon sprites u made for the vid are gold!
Man you have been putting out some insanely high quality videos as of late. Thanks for the good food
21:36 I've somehow never realized that Venu is a frog. Consider my mind blown!
It's not often depicted moving like a frog. A lot of people had to take-two when it did in Pokemon Let's Go Eevee/Pikachu.
Soon as the video started I was like "mewtwo, duh" then I forgot this guy is literally a VGC world champ and it's gotta be incineroar's cousin.
i would love to see a johto analysis like this one! curious how my faves over the years stacked up
Thanks FRESH BRAH! Watching you is really helping me now that I’m starting competitively😎.
