Chances for gold scales increase as hazard level increases so at hlm you’re going to get way more
You also have to buy all the rewards before it aswell, which means even more grinding

Ive been playing for 240 hours about 100 of them being salmon run and I have 2 gold scales so at my rate to just get the goldie (excluding conditions) it will take 5000 hours of straight grinding or 208 days of just salmon run. This is the ultimate flex.

Almost the same amount of total hours here (235). Not sure how many of them were in salmon run. I spent two golden scales on the green banner and currently have two golden scales left to spend. I'll say 2000hrs would be a rough estimate for the time required to get 100 golden scales at my current pace assuming I also spent around 100hrs in salmon run and factoring in that I'm only Profreshional +3. It's probably even less hours, since I have been leveling up my rank for a big part of the time spent in salmon run
The real price is much more expensive than that though, since you have to SPEND the gold scales and other scales to even unlock the Goldie statue on the shop in the first place…
getting 100 gold scales to buy the Goldie decoration is equivalent to killing 1000 cohozunas for the gold cohozuna badge
I got the sea cucumber phone from the shell out machine & I ended up getting the gold sticker from one of those decorated mystery crates. I currently have the sticker up on the inside of my locker.
For anyone who has not read the sunken scrolls the mysterious dry thing most likely is a mummified inkling. How did harmony get her hands on this?!

I have them all except the #1. The best way to farm cohozuna gold scales is to play with the Dynamo roller.
Use the Dynamo Roller with your back against a wall and let the cohozuna push your Dynamo roller to the point where your roller is forced to multiply damage attack when you roll at his belly. Thus destroying the cohozuna in less than 10 seconds.
I’ve seen the SQSN-Holo Sticker in the store.
It kinda annoyed me, not because of the price, but because it replaced the Octopus Varient of the sticker during a Weird Refresh. It cost 88,888.
Eventually the Gold Sticker showed up, so I brought that instead.

The first day of Splatoon 3 that I had over 100k cash was the day the SQSN sticker was in the shop. I looked at it and said to myself "whelp, I'm already used to being broke" its sitting next to my weapon holo stickers
I got the phone and the golden octopus sticker in the shell out machine and I didn't noticed until now how valuable is that sticker lol
I just got a super sea snail from my level 75 catalogue box along with 2 other decorations. Dunno the odds of that happening but makes me feel good after watching this video.

I’ve heard there are some people who actually have a Goldie decoration, yet I still haven’t seen a locker with one.
*sweats profusedly at how many items on this list I have in/on my locker* Listen, I am obsessed with salmon run and I've been lucky with their money capsules (I'm also grinding for Goldie rn, which speaking of, other than the 100 gold scales to buy it, you also need to spend a little bit of gold scales to unlock the tier that allows you to buy Goldie).
The holo stickers aren't too shiny though, especially the squid one :( If people want shiny holo stickers, I would still recommend the weapon stickers.
So assuming you play max hazard salmon and beat cohozuna with 31+ seconds left every time and get golden scales 3 percent of the time you'll need to get 3,333 scales which will take 256 cohozuna rounds. If you got cohozuna every 4th round thats 1025 rounds total. If we assume the average time between around is about 8 minutes that means it would take 136 hours of constant play. And thats the absolute most ideal case.
The 999 silver banner is even worse at 20% odds you'd need 4,995 total scales to get enough. But at least you could do them at the same time since they use the same currency

Yoooo, I got the spawner from a gatcha pull, heck yeah! Also pretty sure I got the angry holo Octo sticker the same way! Now if only I could get the long squid friend decoration I would be so happy 😊

It was so expensive that I thought it was a real snail you could use... and I got really excited at the prospect of being able to buy snails even though they'd be crazy expensive. But alas it was just a dumb locker thingy. But what a flex it would be to have a locker full of those.

I have only received two gold scales and I've been playing everyday since release. I'm the max rank you could possibly get and I beat the chode (what I like to call the fat prick) almost every time I encounter him.
