Already did :D
my loadout is full swim speed
I honestly find it almost funny when a bloodthirsty player is just full on chasing me across the map like "LEAVE ME ALONE OMG THIS IS TERRIFYING"
I had one person consistently splat me. Ive had #1 popular badge far to many times especially in the recent splatfest. 😢
sploosh players when curling:
Good luck with me, if you even can start fleeing
I am sorry little one but as a Bloodthirsty player I must chase you to the ends of the earth till I splat my target.
We have to get the kill tho
I occasionally give my mum the controller, she enjoys the game but still has no idea how to move the sight stick, she stays in one perspective for the whole game and uses a rolled and she got her first triple kill in one go today!
That great and also very cute. I'm happy for your mom!
@@Hurrrdurrrrrrr Yeah she's very sweet, she really enjoys playing every now and then but she feels like she lets the team down because shes not very good, shes scared she'll never get the hang of it, i'll keep convincing her to play some more games!
A little late but that's soooo awsome!
@@strebbie8023 might be best to let your mom play different games. That feeling of "fuck, man. If I was better, we would've got this" is something I get all the time. Granted, im a new player, im still getting the hang of things, but you know
@@TheRealBlazingDiamond Yeah she's not much of a gamer, she usually just plays phone games
I love how all these player type names sound like Octo expansion stages
8:49 I saw someone on the other team kill someone and immediately taunt, so I took my chance, rushed in with the inkbrush, killed them, and immediately started taunting them. They left 😂
Edit: The bloodthirsty one fit me so well
Karma at its finest 😂
I rage at the internet, but I love the game. So, a mix of three.
I am a rager, I mostly risk my life and go to their base bring them attention to me. And I mostly like my teammates to pay attention their surroundings and focus their teammates. I am very strategist.
#teamrage
I'm a rage when it feels completely and utterly lopsided, but I am normally more of a base invader!
I’m the one that becomes rage
@@Leneuinst yeah but they will ALL die to that one guy that got away
To be fair regarding the "Nintendoomer," they probably didn't want to get left behind when the playerbase moved on to Splatoon 3. In other words, they were essentially dragged into the game kicking and screaming.
This is relateable 💀
Lmao
is that anger on your thing

Facts
Me, rocking my 0 star Red High-Horses:
One tip to get better at table turf is make sure you go up and block off as much turf as you can before the opponent gets to your side that way you have a lot of room to ink and they have no where to go and they will most likely pass.
The sniper paradox : they never seem to hit their target, yet everyone seems to get sniped.
The X rank paradox : trust me, they're the top 500 players. All 999 999 999 of them.
The stick controls : half the players are happy to see them. The other half is their team.
u kno how many splats i get ? USING STICK CONTROLS ?
Stick controls are just natural, man. I'm not some ranked uber-sweat, I like some casual turf war and salmon run.
@@aratherlargerodent yes
@@aratherlargerodent I don't understand why people get mad about sticks lol, like, for me personally I'm just way more accurate with sticks, I don't instictively want to tilt to aim, i was to flick my stick over and hope I hit (which is an honest 25/75 because I use a charge weapon)
@@Kattail__ I use a blaster with stick and it's really stable with it. I can't use motion in splatoon anymore because of it. I also hate the assumption that stick players suck because as an inner agent 3 and after alterna victor and can say I am not rubbish at the game
My general type goes from "In the zone"(i.e. really good), which can at any point devolve into the Feeder/Rager, which then morphs into what I like to call "Heath Ledger's Joker playing Splatoon 3," which is basically a hybrid between bloodthirsty, base invader, and a little bit of feeder due to my complete lack of self-preservation and desire to cause as much chaos as possible.
"Jokermode," as I call it, has caused multiple enemy disconnects.
I had to stop writing this comment for a few mins because i couldnt stop laughing over "Jokermode"
I can also fit into the Jokermode role, just going full aggro.
Mine's the same thing except I don't go joker mode. I have either "Sour Mode" or "YEA-YUH! Mode".
I honestly didn’t know what to call it, Jokermode just sounds perfect for how I play lol
At first it’s like I’m just playing, then I get into Aggressive “BloodThirsty” mode, which is just me going in and battling/trying to invade the enemy base, or at least play the objective and depending on how well the match is going, for this case, say it goes bad, I’m just the rager (tho I don’t really get too mad, but a lot of times just really annoyed to a point where I get mad)
Which literally gets to a point where I’m like Raiden Stabbing himself to go “Rippermode”
Or as you so lovingly called it “Jokermode” which I like the ring to it almost better, and I’m just out here thinking “Rip and Tear” and get the Doom Music Rolling and pop out with a crab tank or Reefslider and just invade their base as much as possible and terrorize them, ESPECIALLY THE SNIPERS, idk, I just end up bullying snipers a little too much lol, but I can’t fix my aim enough to kill someone right in front of me lol
Yes, this is long, you HAD the choice to not read it
Oml, YES. This is 100% how I play with my brush. >:3
I'm always Jokermode, no matter what game.
I'm very much of a Pacifist player, but not because I don't want to fight anyone. I can fight if I must, but I'm more focused on making sure that we cover as much turf as possible. I let everyone else go on ahead, making paths and splatting others, while I stay behind and get the little areas they missed. It definitely does tip the scale sometimes. :)
I'm also very much of a Booyah Bestie. First thing I do when the match starts? I hit that booyah button. :'p
Same here in my head I am telling everyone good luck..lol..and I am not out to get the kills I am trying to paint everything..I dunno why it seems I am always the popular target..I definitely can hold my own ..I just dont have it in my head ok I am here to splat everyone and everything..I hate when someone chases u clear across the board and ur like dude stop. I am warning you stop and u have to kill him and then that sends them in a rage and they keep coming back and I have to admit I do get great enjoyment out of handing them their tails bc u know they are raging on their end of the controller..lol
omg i love players like you :') i also feel like a lot of players who fit that description have anxiety about going into anarchy battles lol
I like to think I’m a mix between casual and bloodthirsty. Usually I’m just having fun but there’s moments I take out three in a row by some miracle 😂
Yep
Honestly, The Squid Party Squad, is a lot less toxic in this game BECAUSE of the new Lobby.
You can get it out of your system before the match, instead of disrupting an entire match to do it.
And while none of these quite cover me entirely, I would have to say a little of Pacifist, specifically for the turfing part only, and a bit of Base Invader, with a twist of The Newbie.
that's true, I've always hated squid parties, but your right in the lobby there's no reason not to.
huh???
squid partying is wholesome but definitely not toxic
i have literally never once in my life seen a squid party mid-game, and its never been toxic anyway wdym, in salmon run you do it every end of the round to celebrate, not annoying. and even mid-match in turf war or something you can just splat them and win the round
@@crockdog9838 what if the partiers are on your team 💀
I'm glad I didn't run into a squid party that often in splatoon 2. But when I did, it was annoying. I just wanted to play the game... ._.
I picked up the dark tetra dualies back in splatoon 2 and ever since I only have 3 weapons in my splatoon 3 inventory: splattershot jr, hero shot, and dark tetra dualies. Just something about forcing snipers out of their spots and putting extra pressure during fights with autobombs just sold me instantly.
Honestly, me it was the Ballpoint Nouveau and Custom Squelchers that I picked up and fell in love with.
Hell, the Squelchers is what helped me beat Girl Power by making me learn how to use dualies!
@@philippeleprohon4823 Funny coincidence. I was a hardcore tetra guy but I just fell in love with the ballpoint. Now there are 2 holofoil weapons on my locker.
The reg dualies are my main weapon and when I tried this, I had more success with just the bombs then the weapon cause the dodge rolls feel more elegant than the reg dualies
I played clear dapple dulies in 2 but in 3 I’m loving the splattershot
@@futurehistoryarchaeologist4480 Nice!
Tableturf is surprisingly fun. I would say even though it looks like Tetris the strategy is vastly different. In Tetris you're trying to fit in as many tiles compactly into the space as possible but in Tableturf it's almost the opposite: you want to not fit the tiles together (at least at the start), instead go towards your opponent's territory (like the Base Invader) as much as possible and block them off, giving them less space to play and giving you more space to play later.
The "booyah for good luck" spoke to me. Splatoon would be terrible without that down arrow on the left joy-con.
But I'm mostly a *one-trick* with splat roller😂
Here’s a piece of advice with the baby jelly rush for the middle and give the jelly as little space as possible to put cards down and you should start winning and the rick roller is probably also a newbie who hasn’t figured the flicks out yet
I do it to anyone not paying attention.
Yep, when i was new, I had NO idea how to flick.
Another type I would add is the “ability farmer.” I’ve spent so long talking to Merch, playing Salmon Run, and luckily I got 10 chunks of each from the shellout machine.
I’d also add “The photographer”
Their album already has 100 pics of various stuff from lil buddy vibin, to deep cut doing their thing, to a selfie with the squid sisters, or various inklings and octolings wandering around the square. Their twitter and splatnet are possibly also chock full, and some may even be edited to look fancy via apps like line camera.
@@LOVE-iv2pw oh yes, I have so many screenshots lol! Keep telling myself these pics are for reference later when I decide to (attempt) to draw them
Never played Splatoon in a while, but back when I was on Splatoon 2 I was a Feeder(though I tried not to be), and a Kensa Octobrush One trick. I LOVED Blasters and Rollers when I started, then Chuggaconroy enlightened me on the Octobrush's power and I was hooked ever since. Also, totally the Special Spammer-but come on, it feels AWESOME to wreck everyone around me with a giant hammer!
my go-to weapon will always be the Splat Dualies. I didn't like them that much in 2, but in 3 they're just perfect. the range, the power, the suction bombs, the Crab Tank, everything just feels perfect.
The editing in this is CLEAN! Hope the algo will bless you 🙏
Yay, Hi Mess
@@Shiver-is-best-waifu hey!
Absolutely the Completionist. I didn't touch multiplayer until I finished story mode, which took like 2-3 days (and I totally love it!) I feel like I'm also the Bloodthirsty Battler sometimes because of how many splats I tend to get in matches :') I swear splatting isn't the only thing I ever do
Maybe sort of the Clipper too? I make a lot of clips, but not to a super drastic amount 🤔
I'm also by all means the Splat Lover. I like to have an optimistic and positive attitude towards this game :]
i only 100%'ed story mode cuz i didn't have online ( I classify as a Booyah Bestie )
Im probably a little bit of a feeder, but I typically have the most ground painted and enemies splatted at the end of a round with my bloblobber so I feel like that more than makes up for it.
These were all really hilarious. The Squid Party one was definitely hilarious
I found two that really fit me. I'm BloodThirsty And Also A Feeder. I know it's really strange but it's because I'm always after people and the ending point for me is... well dying. Sometimes ending an entire team or just dying in the end... And I love it because who doesn't have a bit of chaos now and then.
Im sorta mixed on it, I don't charge in a straight line(swimming behind people stops me from being shot), but also I'm not exactly good at aiminf, but I will also regularly get double and sometimes triple kills
its giving quick respawn :D
i'm the feeder lol
that's what happens when you either matched against newbs and think you're invincible or suddenly matched against players much better so I just end up having no plan and wing it.
there's a type of feeder I'd call a "homing missile"- they zoom out into the map with the goal of slamming into and killing the first enemy teammate they see then they expire 2 seconds later either from a double KO or getting picked off by the rest of the enemy team. I notice them a lot, they tend to have sploosh-o-matics.
I’m horrible at the game, but it’s so fun playing with friends. I get so happy when I get a team wipe or manage to wiggle out of a tough situation. I always like using my specials, but sometimes I panic and forget what my buttons do 😰
I used to be the bloodthirsty octobrusher in two, but in three I completed the story mode with probably the bare minimum of levels before ANY online play
Here is my checklist
✖=nope
-= sort of
✔ = yep
1: ✖ I'll admit I was a newbie once I started back in 2, but learned the controls and ways of the game.
2: ✖ while not a newbie, I'm also not those "X rank" people too, need alot to learn before stepping foot in that type. 🥲
3: ✖ Not it.
4: - I do get the jump on superjumpers, but not when I'm super far away from them. 939
5:✔ I am always looking to splat any inkling/octoling.
6: - I do ink my own base yes, but when a battle goes my way then I'm using that zipcaster, flying headfirst into their spawn points.
7: - only when I am in a cheery mood.
8: - only if things fail for me multiple times.
9: - if in a anarchy match and just head in for splats to distract.
10: - No one's internet in splatoon 3 is perfect just yet...if some do then...actually no I'm just right In the middle of the internet section.
11: ✔.....Just to get those ears....TWT
12: ✖ I do not work for grizz that often. 939
13 + 14: ✖/-/ ✔ did beat baby jelly...but failed to fight others at times.
15: - been kinda getting swing of the new maneuvers.
16: ✖ Not that over enthusiastic about my locker. Though I did decorate it.
17: ✔ Saved 3 freshest fits of mine and love to battle in each of em. 😎
18: ✖ I'm not the player who wants to whip up her special in a snap. (sometimes.)
19: ✖ Seriously though I am not at all secretive with the main, sub, (< well...excluding that at times considering I gotten a triple kill with that one.) and specials I use.
20: ✖ Not that popular of a splatoon poster. 🥲
21: ✔ ✅ Pair me with a Octobrush and that's what my main type of player is. 🤭🙃
22: ✔ always love to lighten the mood before battl!e :>
23: ✖ what's wrong with having a little fun? :<
24: ✖ not that skilled with a roller to simply splat someone flat with it whilst casually walking yet. 🙃
25: - yes for the getting every clip, no for the posting it online bit.
26: ✖ with everything happening at once, the last thing I'd do is stay in place.
27: - only if at my broiling point. (Which is rarely unlike last game.)
28: ✖...though my best friends got some great examples 🙃
29: ✖ literally can't find a reason for that -3-
30: ✔ yes, nowadays I love it with most of my heart ❤ and I wouldn't comment on this if I wasn't a splatoon fan myselfl! Thank you for this vid! 😊
Booyah Bestie here! I'll cheer you on when we've done a good push, wiped the other team, saved you from an opponent (and vise versa-thank you, teammate), taken lead in Ranked, completed a good/stressful wave of Salmon run; or if I have just done something dumb like dodge rolling off the map or failing to realize it's high tide and drowning before the wave begins.
Thanking the algorithm for blessing me with this high quality splat content rn 🙏
Me as the Completionist: You haven't truly completed the campaign until you beat every level with every weapon option, what all it does is gives me a tick next to each weapon option in the level select
In OE it would give the background of the map a new pattern but it was so worth it for bragging rights
@@isaiahleach4078 why did you mention this, I have spent three days completing every weapon in the new story mode. Why did you have to bring this up, I thought that maybe they didn't do anything like with the new one. I have already beaten inner agent three but not completed it with every weapon. Now since I know of this little background change, if I left even a tenticle behind I don't know what I'd do
Yup I am the one trick. I only use the splash o matic for almost every mode. Before I got that weapon I only ever used the splat dualies. I also tend to be the statue in the anarchy modes.
I used to be the base invader but I've kinda morphed into the statue I generally play defensive and stay on the back end of the team spreading my focus around a specific area (usually somewhere in the middle but still close to spawn where the campers like to hide) to give my team an easy jump spot and keep campers out and I'll slowly move forward as the match progresses, sometimes taking my old base invader and sat chaser role up if we need a push.
Definitely a One-Trick and Squid Party Squad. I love my Roller and don't want to bother with learning anything else, and there's nothing I like better than jumping up and down in octo form between matches.
This has actually been helpful for seeing what type of player I am and changing the bad things, I watched this vid and realized I was a feeder, so I decided to use hiding and squid roll more and I’ve gotten a lot better at the game😊
Uhm i might be the most basic one trick ever, but damn do i love the splattershot. The combo with suction bombs and the trizooka just feels perfect to me.
I would definitely say I'm a combination of the camper, the bloodthirsty, and the booyah bestie. I would say I'm a one trick but I definitely switch around my mains relatively often. So far I've mained splattershot, aerospray, n-zap, and splash-o-matic, and am currently maining the bloblobber as it allows me to be an absolute pest to the opposing team. With the bloblobber, my play strategy is 100% "if the enemy isn't cursing me and my entire bloodline by the end of the match, I'm doing something wrong." (all in good fun though, no harm intended to anyone)
I’m a newbie and I’m still getting used to all of the buttons for skills on my controller 😂
It’s hard to aim as well (since I never play fps games either)
Haven’t win much from PVP yet which is a bit depressing tbh but still loving the fact that it’s colorful and the uniqueness of it
Hope I’ll get better at Splatoon one day
Give yourself time, and try playing through storymode. It's going to teach you the game mechanics and you will be a better player after completing it. Plus you'll get free badges and locker decorations.
Good luck, I believe in you!
I am a mix of 'The Completionist' and 'The Tableturf Struggler', I could say 'The Pro' too but it depends on the moment 😭
Being a semi-pro modern Tetris player, you would *think* I’d be the Tableturf Specialist, but the two are very different in terms of gameplay and mechanics lmao. If anything I’m more of an aggressive player/the one guy who’s constantly pushing towards the other base
edit: I guess you could also count me as a sploosh One Trick
sploosh is the most fun weapon in the game no cap
@@theone.whoasked it is, kinda triggering when grinding out in turf war/rainmaker tho
The Flingza used to be my go to for Rainmaker in Splat2 because of bomb special.
It is now my go to for everything because I love the Flingza.
Definitely a salmon run warrior. Happy little worker 24/7 mix just plays in my head constantly. My locker is covered in the salmon run stickers, too. Someday when I'm old and gray, I'll finally have saved up enough scales for one of those cool golden salmon run banners, too.
Definitely Completionist and One Trick for me. Splatoon 3 is my first entry into the series, but loving the energy so far!
2:25 - Partially Me.
3:31 - Completely Me.
3:53 - So true.
I know I’m kinda late but- congrats on 1K subs Jas!
Thank you! :)
I'm definitely assassin and battler. Learned how to be sneaky just to do well with brush and roller.
I tried to be a one trick with the Ballpoint but I started using other weapons like Tetras and Dynamo more frequently. And in a PB, I rickrolled my friend with a crab tank
Please PLEASE tell me more I need the story bro
@@TazukeiOtakai about trying to be a ballpoint one trick or in general?
@@terretro3623 the Crab Tank trick thing, i must know how this legendary rickroll of a move was executed
@@TazukeiOtakai oh that lol. Pretty annoying to do. You have to be in ball form and roll them over three times
In 2, the day I picked up the Ballpoint Nouveau was the day that sealed my fate as a backliner/support, especially since I only go for kills when people go in our half.
I am absolutely the fashionista, one trick, and squid party squad. I love messing around in the lobby, I’ve never once considered abilities when it comes to gear, and I will never put down my beloved dualies.
I'm definitely the Assasin and Clipper. You called my storage and I JUST bought a new storage card too
I'm definitely the newbie, booyah bestie and squid party
Here to learn to play and have a blast doing it
I love how everyone has Rusty in their lobby
I am a mix of The Completionist and The Clipper. 100% Completing Splatoon is always a fun thing that I like to do. I usually do photos and videos in Mario games, New Horizons and Splatoon on Occasion. This name is just another Shiver fan.
half bloodthirsty, half assassin. watching the enemy know im rapidly approaching them but having no idea where i am is absolutely 👌👌👌
This was epic!
I am mix of 3; the Booyah Bestie, The Pacifist and the Camper. But I think the story mode completer is my main because I finished the whole entire story mode in 1 day (6 hours)
First time I've come across your channel. Awesome video! Editing is on point. You seem fun. And you have an epic accent. Doesn't get much getter, lol
I'm the weapon main, and partier. Ever since I started, I always Squidbagged in the lobby, and recently started jumping simultaneously. And once I got the Dualie Squelchers, they have never left my weapon slot.
don't forget the classic "inking every corner" player, the one who spends the whole match making sure there isn't a spot uninked at spawn and thus making the actual players fight a 3v4 :/
I loved this video, it' so relatable lol
I'm definitely the Salmon Run soldier 💸
Same. I always end up saying every loadout is worse than the last even though my rank is somewhat stable at profreshional +2
I feel called out on that completionist part 😂 I literally spent the first 3-4 days completing singleplayer. With every weapon. On every level. And every collectible. And even the secret one 😛
this is pretty off topic but i cry when i hear ebb & flow. i love octo expansion.
I think I’m a mix of a couple of these things- The Booyah Bestie, Fashionista, and One trick (filthy splatana wiper main. Picked it up one day and literally haven’t used any other weapon since)
I’m definitely a movement fanatic, maybe not master lol! I’m constantly using squid roll, and I would hate to not be allowed to!
7:30 another good example of Party Pooper is killing all the opponents, destroying the squid beckons, and then your teammates start spraying you with ink, the others join in, you Ngyes/Woomy/Oomi/Veemo, then the opponent comes, splats you, then everyone squidbags (this is a recap of what happened to me)
I was really watching this video like “no way she has 30 different players in mind…..I was shocked 😮🤣lol
Great video
Thank you! It took a little time to get to 30, but I got there eventually haha
9:09
Im litterally this one
Im named, get this “iOS 5.1”
I'm a mix of blood thirsty, feeder, and base invader.
But that's usually because I have a bad habit of acting as the annoyance that people focus on in hopes my teammates can focus on other areas while I distract/annoy the enemy (has worked a couple of times). I only deviate when I notice it's not working and others are congregating into the congestion area.
I used to be the camper back in Splatoon 2 and mained a roller.
Also kind of one trick (I tend to gravitate to melee or close-mid range weapons) and sort of completionist (there's only one stage alternative I haven't finished and rage quit for the time being). Also if I see a squid party I will join.
For me Splat Lover is my mentality for both Splatoon and Pokemon and I am looking forward to getting 3 and Violet this year (and maybe get into online battling pretty soon)!
The Supporter: uses weapons that helps the crew like the cooler and comes to backs a teammate up if they are in a jam, booyahs your nice shots and protects your squid jump so you aren’t jumping into danger.
Sometimes it’s worth being the base invader. When I see an opportunity to head the enemy base, even if I’ll just end up dying, it would probably be worth it in the long run. Especially if the timer is down to like 30 seconds or less. No regrets XD
Great for distracting the enemies tbh
I've been playing the other modes way more than pvp, so i guess I could fall in the completionist, salmon run soldier and tableturf specialist. But in terms of the type of player I am in pvp, I'm definitely an enemy-base inker. Not only do I make sure I paint my own base at the start of every match, but I love exploiting the fact that most players go guns blazing and have a heated battle on the middle of the stage by sneaking past them and inking their base. It usually makes a huge difference in a match because either I splat the unfornate souls that try to reclaim their base or I get splatted but the splatter still has to wast time repainting the base. It also makes for a great super jump spot for my teammates, after which they either assist me or, as Norman Osborn put it, AVENGE ME!
And the game seems to agree with me since it keeps showering me in #1 Enemy Base-Inker badges.
Also, I loved your video and it just turned me into a subscriber.
I didn't think you'd get me, and then you got me three times lol
(salmon run soldier, booyah bestie, and one trick- i picked up the aerospray MC in 2 and continued playing it in 3 and already have a 4 star rank on it, BUT im branching out i swear)
I'm a mixture of professional and the kind of player who praises the team whenever they do anything good
the fashionista and pacifist bits rlly called me out lmao tho im tryin to get braver in turf battles ppl r just rlly good jsdhfkj also my top priority is havin cool outfits
Booyah Bestie, sometime Feeder (as much as I hate to admit it), part-time Salmon Run Soldier, Tableturf Struggler, Fashionista, aspiring Locker Legend, Squid Party Squad, Taunter, and of course, Splat Lover. Every once in a while I slip into Rageaholic, but not as often as I did in Splat2.
Completionist, booyah bestie, and splat lover. I barely touched the online until I beat story mode (including the secret kettle), and I always like to booyah at the start of a match and whenever a teammate helps me out or splats the player that just splatted me
Weird one but I have another type. weapon switcher! I keep trying out new weapons and trying my best. It's how I helped to improve my aim, going from brush to bucket to roller to dualies to charger
Missed the chance to call The Salmon Run Soldiers: Happy Little Workers
I remember when you Booyah to say "Thank you." When you get saved by a teammate and they Booyah back to say "Your welcome." But those were Splatoon 1 days, sadly.😮💨
I’m not sure I was any of these specifically. You spoke of people living in Turf and the one who mainly plays Salmon Run, but I usually stick solely to Ranked, or Anarchy as it’s called now. I don’t care about my own rank, I just love playing the games (Like SPLAT ZONES! Also, I am not a typical Clam Blitz hater).
I think there’s another unique thing about how I play. Instead of playing as my own character most of the time, I attempt to remake characters from other games/franchises in Splatoon to the best of my ability, figure out which Special would correlate the them the most, and fit them with a weapon or two and play as them! :D I would say maybe 80-90 percent of my time is playing as a different character XD For instance, I mainly play as Sonic characters; Infinite from Sonic Forces most of the time (he’s a favorite for some reason), but sometimes I’ll switch it to Silver or Tails. I just brought Eggman back since they brought back his proper glasses for the Chill Season XD In Splatoon 2 I remade the Champions from BoTW, including Link. It’s so fun to do! I’m very upset with how they changed the naming system for 3. Now I’m either forced to play as one character for a month, or have an incorrect name. So I just stick with my original username as I play as them, which is a HUGE bummer because no one else would have a clue that I’m doing it like they would in 2. How can people get mild amusement from “playing with Eggman” if my name is Sweetoil? I hope that gets changed :,(
Sorry if I rambled for too long 😅
I have a name for the newbies, I just call them babies. It’s a term of endearment though! You watch as they slowly figure out how to move around and operate. I feel like protecting them with my life when I see them :>
Lovely video! I really enjoy these types 😄
I'd consider myself a Movement Master not because I'm an expert on the new movements (Squid Roll is still a foreign concept to me) but because I main the Inkbrush, so my specialty is _fast._ I can never sit still for too long, and I get #1 Ground Traveler unusually often.
I think Base Invaders are sometimes a good thing because if you can slip past them, you can try to ink _their_ base before they eventually get splatted, respawn, and target you. I sometimes become a Base Invader on accident because I'm always running to the nearest spot that needs to be inked, which is sometimes enemy base.
There’s also « The targeter » that when you kill him will do everything to only aims at you to get the last laugh, it’s a bit like the taunter but way worse ( even if your at your base chilling)
Not quite an S1 vetaeran, but I have been playing splatoon since 2017, so I’ve got a fair amount of experience under my belt.
if you need tips for tableturf, then here they are:
Rush mid, you need to gain ground to secure a win
Build a wall of ink, dont let your opponent get in, if they do, keep blocking them out
Special points are worth it, you want to try and go for them so near the end of the game you can ink over your wall and get some extra turf
When you described The Clipper, I felt called out.
I actually had to transfer all of my video to my computer because I ran out of room 😅.
Advice for tableturf battles from a tableturf pro:
Always try to advance first. Wait to fill out your own space until after youve blocked off your opponent. Also try to only have like 2 cards with 3 or less space because your main goal is to take space and block your opponent from taking yours.
Ive been maining chargers every since splatoon 1 so not trying to brag but im amazing with it and it so fun to use! It makes the opposite players have to change their styles of playing their movements just so i dont snipe them lol, and other then that when i have any other weapon i will always be the bloodthirsty player haha
Besides being the tetris tabletop man (gotta get those specials to slam them on the last turn) I am also very guilty of being a one trick Octobrush. I use other weapons from time to time for kicks, but using a brush probably 95٪ the time I'm not in Grizco
I am definitely parts of Assassin, Rick Roller, One Trick and others... but as a Base Roller main with over 250 wins, I fit into a group called: Keep Rolling, you don't stop rolling unless you gotta get ink, flick to kill or throw a curling to move faster. Also you are willing to head on collide with another Keep Rolling player and end up both dead.
A mix of many people: Squid Party, Booyah Bro, One Weapon Only (more accurately one weapon-type only), but mainly I’m the guy who turned on the game and spent about 15 hours in Alterna until it was 100% completed. That Teddie Headband was not worth it, but I now refuse to take them off under any circumstances.
I’d say i’m probably a mix of completionist(i hardly played online till i beat the final boss), salmon run soldier(salmon run is DEFINITELY my favorite gamemode) and maybe with a bit of pro mixed in as well (I have some experience in Splatoon 3, most of it comes from 2 but I am pretty good at online matches)
You forgot "Obsessive Compulsive Inker": I ink everything that can be inked, being sure to hit the tiny less-than-five-point box tops. Everything in my base, everything in my ENEMIES base, and everything in the middle along the way. Booyah!
Salmon Run Soldier through and through. Even in my locker and my Octoling's backstory are themed around it.
Other types:
Tableturf Struggler: I did beat the Baby Jelly on level 1 but that's about all I can manage
Fashionista: Those clothes MUST match.
Movement Master: A bit. I just go around everywhere.
Assassin: :)
One Trick: Funny that you used the Splash-o-matic for that part because that's my weapon xD
Clipper: I got about 700 clips I still need to trim...
And lastly, Splat Lover, of course.
6:58 I am this, by far, by A LOT, since splatoon 2. The vanilla sploosh-omatic chose me. I mastered the use of curling bomb, just because I really like this weapon mobility. Now I do so many splats with the sploosh and the curling bombs. I even have a curling bomb on my pfp lol XD.
The tenta brella hyper Chad: this rare breed will protect you and your teammates at all cost. You can guarantee when you superjump that they will be there protecting your landing. They may not get the most kills or turf inked but they will make winning much easier
I'd say that the best descriptor for my play style would be the base invader. If I can get in your base, I'm gonna try to get in your base at least a few times in the match. Add in a bit of One Trick because you better believe I'm not putting down my beloved Nozzlenose. Been with that baby since I picked it up in the original game and I can't wait to get my Cherry H-3 back.
Im deffinetly a base invader but also good at menouvering the controls of the character to get out of harms way
