- Well it looks like there are things that don't make sense in other video games besides The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and Super Mario. This time were looking at a super serious and realistic game of Splatoon 3 a hot topic in the Nintendo community. Let's see what doesn't make sense about the inklings and octoling's in Splatoon.
Watch Things That Don't make Sense in Zelda: • 30 Things that Don't M...
Building from the solid foundations of its predecessors, the deluge of impressive quality of life changes and exciting improvements Splatoon 3 brings make it hard to imagine the ink-based shooter series as it was before this. More than just a simple upgrade, its array of new features make it just as enticing for competitive players as it is approachable for newcomers. Salmon Run
It appears that there are even more strange things I noticed during my time playing The Legend of Zelda breath of the wild. So strange in fact that I made yet ANOTHER video about it going over EVEN MORE things that don't make sense to me, 30 more things in fact. Yes I am going to be applying real world logic to The Legend of Zelda breath of the wild yet again.
In the video above, we cover 16 facts, tips and tricks that aren’t quite as well known, ranging from secrets to glitches, so me that are pretty simple and others that are fairly complex. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been out for four years at this point, and players have found some amazing things, intended or not, that keep the game and its sense of discovery feeling fresh.

1. Alterna is covered in fake snow proven by Marie’s dialog and proven in salmon run Inkling can dip their feet into water and be perfectly fine
(This answer a lot)
2. Water isn’t like lava or poison it will just pressure their skin wen they are soaked meaning they can Drink water and much more.
3. The reason why most maps are covers in water is because the jelly fish who are making the “maps” are completely immune to water, which makes the water more like a line to mark the map.
( this cover most things from 1 - 8 ) (sorry for my bad English btw It’s not my first language)
yeah this.
Inklings and Octolings also have water in their body.
SPOILER:
When we find Cuttlefish in his new body, and the captain (old agent 3) cries, he drops tears made up of water not of ink
@@agent_squidboy0470 yeah, but that open up other question : if they cry water, then are theyr other body liquide also the same as us, or some a it is just ink(blood, the acid you got in Your sotmach. Ect...)
@@agent_squidboy0470 yeah I meant inklings and octolings :D
relax he get joking around it not to take seriously LOL
fun fact! the cork on the champagne bottle gets flung out because of ink, and it stays open during that
the model is just never really updated for shooting because you're usually not seeing that
I wonder how many injuries have been caused by the cork getting flung out when firing ink
In the 8th slide abt a thing that “doesnt make sense” you’re able to walk on the snow because it isnt snow. how do you expect it to snow underground… under a bunch of huge tv screen panels. (Also with number 3 its called a SUPER jump because it needs time to charge, you dont want to be in a situat with someone chasing you and you jump causing you to stay in that spot for like 3 whole seconds…)
He also probably didn’t realize that the sky in Alterna is not real, it is just a giant screen simulating the sky.
Also callie herself points out that the snow is artificial when you talk to her in cryogenic hopetown
I was just about to talk about number 8 but i saw your coment :(
Not to mention, it’s probably against the rules of turf war/ ranked to superjump anywhere but your teammates
the screen is actually the stuff that created the inkings
Inkling’s bodies are mostly made of ink so that’s how they swim in everything.. yah a lot of Theese questions have been answered
Actually if they are made of ink doesn’t they have something similar a anti gravity so they can move at least like goop in Ben 10 or mug from Pokémon and don’t forget about captain cuttlefish that’s he’s a squid 🦑 dehydrated
Wait so is big man also made mostly ink
@@taciturnsummertime7711 he’s not an inkling/octoling, so I don’t think so
@@taciturnsummertime7711 yup mmm maybe ink in splatoon universe has something unique properties
@@janethedragoling6862 I’m assuming a lot of species have evolved to use ink due to it being extremely useful
12:
As some people already mentioned, the bodies of Inklings and Octolings are mostly made out of ink. The Inklings and Octolings are basically transferring the ink tank-ink through their bodies to the weapon.
The Inklings and Octolings also have an organ, which can produce ink(basically just an inksac), which is why the tank can refill passively.
All that basically concludes, that the ink tank and the weapons are kinda plugged into the Inklings and Octolings.
I think that was how it goes.
I am quite sure, that should be right.
BUT HEY!
THAT'S JUST A THEO-
A game theory
THANKS FOR WATCHING
RY ~ A GAME THEORY!
the floating objects are simply due to fancy Octarian technology, as noted in the Octo Expansion for Splatoon 2, where Captain Cuttlefish points out that Marina was using Octarian technology to make floating rocks for some stages
Inklings are resistant to water to an extent so they can drink and shower. Snow wouldn't hurt inklings and the snow in Alterna isn't even real snow, it's not cold and probably man made.
As for the mako mart thing, the ink dissapears after a while so it's self cleaning.
The 9th is explained in Splatoon 2, apparently the ink of the Inkling and the Octoling disappears completely after some minutes, due to gas in the air
Pretty sure it's microbes.
@@MetaKnight964 yeah
Ah yes the INKLINGS dissolve not the ink
Funnily enough a ton of these questions had been answered by the game, trailers, common sense or the devs themselves via interviews...Except #15. ONLY #15. Even I'm confused. I mean, we never seen Shiver put down her fan in-game, but still, HOW DOES SHE DO IT?!?!
I’m convinced she’s a witch in disguise
@@Bucketnetta At this point I agree with ya
I think the idea is she has her fan behind the mask, opens the fan and the force throws the mask away
Inklings only die in water when fully submerged, and the snow is fake snow
ooh! I know the answer to a few of these, but my fav is number 30, inklings and octolings are made from their own ink and when they are taking damage they are being covered and overrun by opposing ink colors. We can see that the opposing inks repel each other since they do not mix, so similar to how players dissolve in water, the enemy ink overruns the player's body causing them to pop like a balloon filled with the opposite ink color.
Btw, their "hair is legit just their leftover tentacles. Almost every hair style has 4 ends on octolings and 6 on inklings, the exceptions being the weird ones like Afro and Spikes, which seem to be sort of forcibly changed via cutting and the like. Like how certain cultures used to stretch out their necks or lips, and how we still practice decorative self mutilation today.
27: on splatoon 2 octo expansion cuttlefish literally mentions that octarians have technology that can make objects float
Given that the octobosses emerge from ink that can't possibly contain them in 2, I would imagine that ink has weird spatial properties. Even Salmonids can take advantage of it to swim on the land.
Ink in general is really crazy in splatoon
The main examples are the octowhirl and octomaw bosses in splatoon 1, where they’re probably like 30 feet tall or something but when a solid slab of stone is covered in a thin layer of ink they sink in like cartoon quicksand
For the whole water confusion, there are other species that can swim and interact with water.
For the storymode snow. I forget which agent says it but around world 3 or 4 one of then do say it's fake snow.
And for their hair I am pretty sure inklings can cut them since that one hair style where they only have 1 main tentacle exists but for octolings it was confirmed waaaaaay back in splatoon 1 that if an octoling were to cut off a tentacle another octarian would grow from that tentacle which is why they always have all 4 tentacles. Exceot for the afro
Idk whats up with that
i got the fake snow dialogue from callie
i think the afro is supposed to be like the head of a octopus
ok, the reason they explode into enemy ink is because the enemy ink is overthrowing your ink making you explode into their ink
Let's see if I can debunk some of these
5: It's very likely that, as the weapons do (In S2's story mode, when you enter a Sheldon Picks level they drop your current weapon to the ground and this weapon dissapears, probably also explains both 12 and 24 as well), the clothes are also made of ink. It still doesn't explain the abilities though, unless the clothes modify the inkling's body in some sort to make them able to do new stuff or something similar (Nvm clothes and weapons don't dissolve in water so this has either become a paradox or I'm too dumb to understand)
9: As the lore says, the ink dissolves by itself in like 5 minutes or so, so they probably just don't care since it will go away
10: That one is just racism at this point, since jellyfish, octolings and other species live with them as well
22: They literally become ink while inside ink, they don't dissolve in the puddles because they may be able to maintain their body shape while swimming
Dislike bc they were like 25 instead of 30 (Jk at least there's stuff to explain in a potential fourth game)
Please learn the definition of racism. Also idiot this is a fictional world with fictonal characters.
For 10: Agent 8 also has stated that they dislike how everything is inkling themed when holding the inkling-dummy mem-cake
About the weird rooms with big objects and the like, it has been explained in the Splatoon 3 Lost logs, which explains the big weird rooms from Splatoon 1 and 2 too. The walls are covered in bio-chemical crystals harvested from squids, reflecting the memories from the humans about anything, projecting that way clear sky or weird cityscape.
I'm surprised nobody is talking about how Judd and lil Judd teleport to matchs, like how do they decide the winners, like their's a lot of people who play turf war at the same time at different places, just how??????
I would guess holograms cause of this universe being 12-13,000 years in the future
2:25 That is because that is not real snow confirmed during the story, therefore they are stepping on something else entirely
9: ink dissolve from micro parasites in it after a couple of hours, so no worries.
11: that’s only in 3. In 1 and 2 you pay money, like everything else (and you get tickets be playing more online. so it’s more, the more experienced you are, to more guns you can get)
22: splatoon ink simply has special properties that permit that wen in squid/octo form, they probably meld into the ink
27: not about said point but splatoon universe is on earth, just after the humans went instinct and marine life quickly evolved due to humans experiment. So the gravity isn’t just like the one on heart, but the same because it’s earth.
Would’ve been better to make it about the whole series and not just 3.
Also for number 9 they explained in Splatoon 1 that the ink has no effect on the environment meaning it won't effect the painting's
My response to 9: In the first game, a sunken scroll said that all the ink disappears after a turf war.
for number 8, im pretty sure in one of the speeches that callie or marie said that it was 'fake' snow im pretty sure
2:24 it's fake snow. Alterna is a place where humans try to recreate parts about life after the numerous disasters that wiped out humanity. If it was real snow, it would've already melted.
for the last one- it's because they've absorbed the ink and it has put pressure on them, meaning they burst spraying said ink
#6) Im pretty sure the inklings just cant swim in water, you can see them flailing before their head goes underwater then they get splatted.
Another thing that doesn’t make sense: its more of a UI thing, but you can tp to anything of signifigant importance like the shops and salmon run, but you can’t tp to tableturf battle.
9. as stated in one of the sunken scrolls from splatoon 1. there are airborne microbes that disolve the ink. thats why they can go turf anywhere and its fine.
3:35 those aren’t tickets, their literal licenses (edit: for number 25, they actually do something else than stay in there all the time however if I say it, it will spoil the story mode)
A thing to note, in the Splatoon franchise, how Inklings and Octolings reproduce, is through their own tentacles being cut. Weird, I know. Still makes no sense when taking into account the tentacles needing to be cut for some hair styles
I think it was only mentioned that octolings are the ones that create new life when the tentacles are cut and even then it only makes things reminiscent of the basic story mode enemies
Actually, that's a misconception (vagueness between octotroops and octolings) and a popular headcanon! They reproduce normally, only the octarians (tentacle ones) are like that, I'd reccomend looking up rassicas if you're interested in niche canon lore translated to English :)
If I'm not mistaken there's a manga for Splatoon, and in the manga Inklings don't disentagrate in water but they are bad swimmers.
How ironic, sea creatures being bad swimmers 💀
Well actually they’re not allergic or die from water. they die from water because they lost the ability to swim so they drown that’s why
For 8 : it's basically artificial snow, they mensionned it in the story
a lot of these make sense actually, and also for the art gallery being a bad map cuz the art work gets ruined; Inkling and octoling ink evaporate after a bit
0:47 inklings have no bones, and are mode mostly of ink.the 3’s story mode you fly up to the rocket, the winning pose for the stringer let’s you fly,and superjumping.seeing this logic and the fact that they are still heavy enough to stand on ground leads me to believe that either A) they can control this weight or b) the turfwar rules don’t alllow it
2:24 also Marie confirms that this is intact fake snow
2:44 ink dissolves
Doing this in two comments cuz for some reason it’s bugging
3:36 Sheldon is rich, and he finds the licenses more useful
3:48 again inklings are made and can make ink
4:30 we litterly see this happen in the real world what are you talking about?
5:00 this might be due to their schooling, they have schedule on when and where they live in their territory
5:37 again body of ink,I’m starting to see that you don’t know lore that well sir
I think the clothing is stored inside the squid/octopus then pops back out (covered in ink) when transforming back
for number 19: the manga for splatoon does explain that inklings and octolings do cut there tentacles but that does leave the question, does it hurt? (still love this series!)
There's a Splatoon manga?
@@timotheninja yes
i only have the first five but i also heard that there is an anime
# 30: They get so covered by enemy ink that it all flies off them into an explosion.
You may not know this but shiver is a rakugo artist. It's Japanese storytelling in some way or shape.she also has a box where rakugo artist play their story. It's different from magic.
Some answers that make things worse/funnier:
19: The hair is indeed tentacles, hence why squid hairstyles have a maximum of 6 strands outside of the smooth texture and octolings have a maximum of 4 - the four remaining limbs from their swim form, be it a squid or an octopus. Just... Try not to visualize what getting a haircut is like in this universe...
20: The game Splatoon existed in the Splatoon universe about 12000 years prior to events of Splatoon - Specifically we can deduce that the person who died while playing the Wii U during the end of the world (hence not getting buried) was playing the original Splatoon, because they have the weird 'tie your wiimote to your pro controller for the same system multiplayer with both players having access to gyro aim or to play the game with the pro controller and gyro aim rather than the gamepad' that Nintendo recommended setup going on, pinning the date of the end of the world to either 2015 or 2016, (We can also deduce that consumer electronics weren't as advanced because the Wii U is bulkier in that image than it actually is - likely because in between WWII and 2015 there were three additional world wars, one of which involved someone nuking Antarctica for some reason). Splatune existing in Splatoon 1 feels less weird to me since most of the Splatoon music canonically exists in the game so that might just be 'your favourite turf war song compilation album' in context rather than a video game soundtrack existing within he game itself.
27: The levels take place inside underground domes made by humans to survive the end of the world with LED ceilings powered by psychic crystals that projected the desires of the denizens of the domes before humanity went extinct and... Apparently stuck there. IIRC the lore of the S1 and S2 story modes, the kettles are teleportation devices into the levels. In fact, the way we get to matches is via what's referred to as the 'battle kettle' that teleports us to the match (or to transportation to the match, presumably, in the case of the ones in Greater Inkopolis). So when you see the sky in a single player level or the Alteria hub? That's because the humans who built the dome the level missed seeing the sky. The city? The humans in those domes missed being in cities. E for Everyone.
Was not expecting a Splatoon video from you. Loved it. Great vid
30: You explode in the opponents ink color because the damage delt to you is essentially your opponents color taking over your own, and you exploding means that there us no (in this case yellow) ink left to make up your inkling
As a splatoon veteran, I will attempting to be answering these questions to the best of my ablility by myself. leggo.
1. the cork on the squeezer gets flung out and stays that way during battle, the model is just never updated since you're not supposed to be able to see it during battle.
2. Ink Strikes have always worked that way. Even in Splatoon 1 with the original Inkstrike, it would go through. It doesn't make sense but that's Splatoon for ya.
3. Inklings and Octolings superjumps are never really *explained*. There was a scroll in Splatoon 1 that said they can jump "Up to 5 Feet/1.5 Meters", and I swear there was another scroll talking about how inklings superjump but i can't find it anywhere :/. Has something to do with "High Pressure Ink" and the time it takes to charge it up, I believe.
Skipped 4 and 5 bc i can't figure them out ;w;
6. Water is only deadly when an inkling is completely submerged in it, such as when one goes swimming. They can drink water and eat watermelon just fine.
7. Many of the maps were not designed by inklings nor octolings themselves, instead being designed by jellyfish because apparently they dont communicate to each other about any safety hazards.
8. The snow in Splatoon 3 is fake, simple as that.
9. Ink dissolves/evaporated after about five minutes canonically due to microbes that eat it up, so that's why they do turf wars there: they know it'll go away.
10. Inklings like to embrace their culture in ways most others would consider "weird", such as the squid and octopus branding all over Inkopolis and the Splatlands.
11. It didn't always used to be like this! Hell, in the last game we still bought stuff from Sheldon with money. No idea why it was changed.
12. By submerging themselves in ink, cephlopods can recharge their ink quicker than just standing around and letting it do it naturally. The ink tank simply shows how much ink there is that you can *use* for your weapons. As for seperate tanks, that is just for aesthetic I believe.
13. Honestly, this never made sense to me either so imma skip it for now
14. They unfortunately only show *some* of what they actually sell from day to day due to the rotations, or won't even show anything in shop at all. It's all up to change, I suppose.
15. Shivers just magic like that.
16. This is completely my crack theory so correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe they retreat to get ready for the next wave. Grizz just happens to know when that wave starts and ends so he times you accordingly.
17. I like to think they just throw around the weapons lol.
18. It's always been a thing that Inklings can go through grates and stuff in swim form. However, the new "un-swimmable" grates are probably just to prevent out of bounds areas from being accessable.
19. Their hair is just tentacles, actually. The smooth part is made to resemble the back of a cephlopod. General rule of thumb for hairstyles is that octolings have *four* main pieces of hair while inklings tend to have more. We do not question the afro. It doesn't hurt
20. The Amiibo stand is meant to be Non Diegetic, meaning it has no actual significance to the world of Splatsville. The "Nintendo Gods" theory is kinda funny tho
21. They're just vibin. Jinjin is planning something though.
22. Ink can hide a LOT of things. For example, in Splatoon 2 the bosses would always hide in a thing of ink despite the fact that they were MUCH bigger than the surface area of said ink. I remember someone in one of the story modes said something along the lines of "The ink is deeper than it looks", I believe it was Marie.
23. I think it's to prevent out of bounds again, but as for an in universe explanation, I dont have one.
24. Special and Sub weapons are stored with their mains, I believe
25. I believe it is to prevent people from swarming them in the square. You gotta remember, they're idols of each game are the most popular of their time period. The person narrating the first splatoon direct even called the Squid Sisters the "Hottest stars of the inkling world" and they did that too.
26. The teapots are "gates" into different Octarian bases. It's been like this since the first game
27. Floating platforms are actually canon Octarian tech! In Octo Expansion, when Pearl mentions that Marina builds her shifty stations with floating and moving platforms, Cuttlefish calls it out that it is "Octo Tech"
28. No Idea :wheeze:
29. The ink is just built different idk.
30. They explode with the opponents ink color because the opponent has hit them with enough of their ink that it just... Pops.
THIS TOOK ME SO LONG but if you got to the end of this good job!!
There are probably turf war (and any other mode) rules for the inklings saying you can only super jump to teammates.
In the agent 3 fight in Splatoon 2 octo expansion the reason agent 3 is more powerful than any other inkling is because he/she has the limiter removed.
24: They keep the specials in cans. Since the bosses in splatoon 2 come up from just ink, I would believe that the ink has some special quality so it can contain objects and there’s probably ink in the cans so… yeah
To super jump, they use magnetic fields to determine the landing point. It is likely that for turf wars, they are given a device that produces a light magnetic field explaining why they can only jump to teammates, beacons, and spawn.
For the ink-tank issue, the inkling carries it on their back, and a small tube runs from the tank into their weapon. They just hook it up and go.
This was the best video in the series so far! I would love to see some more splatoon related videos!
Thanks man!
@@InfiniteBits agreed
I’m really enjoying the 30 things that makes no sense.Keep It Up.
I prefer the top 10 videos, but ideally there would be a good mix of both
Thank you bro, great to hear
@@puffmain3276 same
For 23, the reason you die, -this is a theory- is because turf war is a regulated sport, so you have an ink pack similar to octo expansion that blows you up. This is why when you get splatted you drop enemy ink. Also, I have a theory that specific ink isn't dangerous to inklings. This is why you can shoot capn cuttlefish and callie. But the ink you use in singleplayer is militarized to wipe out enemy races.
18: their literally boneless, and sometimes their just clipping through. Clipping's pretty prevelent in Splatoon
6: not all creatures are inklings, and even if we’re talking about inklings, they probably drink paint because we’re partially made of water and drink water, and inklings look like they’re made out of paint
One more: From a tiny puddle of ink you can refill your entire tank. Where does all this ink come from?
Misconception: The water itself won't kill them or atleast dissolve them, if anything drowning in it will kill them die to the lack of swimming experience they have.
Splatoon actually exists in the Splatoon universe, as in it was around when the humans still ruled earth, so I imagine the Amiibo box is a remnant of human time :)
It has been confirm that the Octolings can make tech to make things float btw
16: That’s the literal Salmonid behavior. The Salmon Runs consists of attacking and retreating.
17: The manual explains that the weapons are distributed via ’special Grizzco technology.’
the maps being terrible locations is due to Inklings not actually caring about the location and they'll just battle anywhere. e.g. apparently it's prohibited to battle at moray towers but they do it anyway
Good video👍 lol splatoon just has a lot of lore in game or from devs and books to explain this stuff.
Inklings/octolings are shape shifters so they can move thair body around things like grates by choice. And thair hair eyes gender ECT can be edited. Thats also a reference to real squids that do things similar to that.
Ink is eaten by microbes in the air so it does not last much longer than a match.
for the water thing, basically they can handle some water but once it gets too much they die. They can drink water, take showers, walk in the snow, dip their feet in water, but not jump in a whole pool because that's a lot more of it. Also for the ink on the products and the art gallery, the ink was confirmed in splatoon 1 to be special ink that evaporates completely after a few hours, on it's own. And the art is probably protected by a layer of glass like most museums anyway. And the floating things in story mode is octarian technology, it was confirmed in splatoon 2 octo expansion
In the 1st one, have you not seen a champagne bottle be popped open and explode? That’s why the first shot from the squeezer goes farther. (Also for the metal things, there is probably a mechanism to remove those when the trigger is squeezed.)
Edit: I’m not trying to make this a hate comment, but everything except for 15 and 2 could be answered by doing a little bit of research on the game’s lore or just some common sense, which makes it seem like this video was made more for the content, and not for the people, seeing has he only looked around for things that made no sense with no context, but didn’t look for context.
actually the reason inkling die in water is because they are too dense to swim and can't get out
For Number 7, I think its surrounded because in Mahi-Mahi Resort, you see some jellyfish in the water. Maybe it's so the jellyfish can have fun in the water.
I think, for Splatoon 3 at least, when you jump into a kettle, you're actually in a computer simulation. There are some stages with open windows like you'd see on a computer. I think that's why the hub world seems more complete and fleshed out and seems to have the laws of physics still apply, generally speaking. Same with the final stage and rocket battle.
in splatoon 2 there is a scroll in story mode that proves that ink does dissolve after a while
You can walk on the snow because its fake one of the squid sisters tells you at one pont in the game
#3 I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure that it has to do with gravitational waves for some reason.
Water isn’t poison to inklings, it’s just they can’t swim.
In salmon run you just trade with your teamates. Like hey can I uhh have that gun now it just looks cool.
Also I don't think the water fully dissolves them. Rember they came from the water. It probably just drains all their ink away which is why its left in the water.
My question is what's with the respawn..where does the body go do they evapaorate or something then condense into a body weapon ink and clothes.
I’m guessing the inklings/octolings only die from large bodies of water and if they consume it then it’s fine as it’s not much. (Also the snow is fake)
The guns don’t kill they just let a squid/octo respawn.
Why are you questioning why shiver is a news reporter and does magic tricks?
The salmoniods see that they can’t get the basket.
The inklings/octolings are made out of INK, they can bend themselves around gates.
They just flatten themselves when they swim in ink.
5:01 the salmonid probably realized they lost a bunch of eggs and go back to get more
Judging by the comments this guy has never played Splatoon before and I shouldn't watch this if I wish to retain my sanity
Also with number 9 in the lore there are microbes in the air that devolve the ink
Also there is one more that dont' make sence. In the Story Mode during the final boss, you're in space right? Bullet drop? while in zero gravity, it should travel in a straight line. You fall down like it has gravity but in space, you float. Like what..? ._.
Also even in you jump, you fall down quickly after..
Infinite on 2:37 they don’t die because it’s fake snow one of the dialogs says it’s snow but it’s not cold
Point 30 can be explained with some logic, and the clip for point 23
When splatted by an enemy (or by water, to explain some other notes), it's due to the bodies absorbing too much of the ink/water, causing them to explode. It's mentioned that the characters can drink and shower, and even stand in ankle deep water, it's about waist level where they start having issues
However, if not splatted through over-absorbtion, such as falling off a map, or landing out of bounds of the turf war (to attempt a reasoning, maybe it's done by referees to keep players in the game? I don't know if it is canonically explained), the colour you splat with is your own ink colour (as mentioned before, this is shown in point 23, when jumping off Scorch Gorge)
8:26 you can glitch in to that room so do that and then ask deep cut why they stay in that room all the time
all of the single player questions can be answered with, its takes place in the distant future, octarian technology, human tech, and the way the squids fit in a thin water of ink is because they are made of ink themselves and they just flatten. the just can faze thru stuff by relaxing there body
Im pretty sure the clothes giving powers things is due to some underlying psychic power the neomarine life possess like the orkz from Warhammer 40k but "fresher".
if i believe it works, then it works
For all the claims about water killing inklings and octolings. They do not die at the touch of water, they just drown when in pools and beaches, this works because they’ve spent millions of years living on land.
I believe since you are made of ink, when you go in ink puddles, you turn into the puddle.
Ok you can’t make this video about being super realistic and then question the “gun laws” of the splatoon universe… they literally shoot and kill eachother for fun…
Some solutions
1: they’re ink
2: no exceptions, every part of them is ink
3: they are advanced scientific creatures, they have Bluetooth ink tanks
25: The only time they are not there is when a splatfest is happening.
I just realized by the splatfest that has which chocolate is the best as thier theme(sorry if I don't make sense). I am stupid.
The floating objects are due to a trick the octarians made, where you use two telephone poles to somehow make things float.
2: the blasts could come from the ground up instead of up to down you do throw them on the floor anyway
10:11 or a second off the answer is that the inkling gets filled with the opposite ink color and then it becomes so much pressure in the inkling that they um explode
1:56 well little amounts of water don't dissolve them so rain can't dissolve them drinking water you'd have to be very slow if you don't want your throat to dissolve
Octo and inklings being mostly ink covers up why they just can submerge everywhere.
BUT OCTOWHIRL???
Yes, they do know they're in a videogame. Marina says so in Splatoon 2.
"It's funny, because we're all living in a simulation, and fee will is a lie."
3:00 According to Splatoon lore, ink dissolves over time due to microorganisms.
9:00 All we know is, most of the sky's are fake because it's all underground
It's only night time during the splatfest. Any other time, it's always day time.
30:
the ink that the opponent shoots at you overwhelms the inkling there for its the opponents ink.
some of these points do have reasons
1. regarding the water ones, water itself isent inherently toxic/lethal its just that being submerged in water causes inklings/octolings to dissolve due to the fact there mostly made of ink (also the snow in alterna is fake)
2. the reason the weapons are so easy to get is because there ink based, only inklings/octolings/octarians are vulnerable to ink based weaponry (also respawn points and the floating respawners make dying a very odd concept in splatoon so its best to not think about it...)
3. the turf war maps are specially made FOR the turf wars/ranked/anarchy battles, so most everything in them is most likely not valuable like real art or actual store products witch is also why there so separate from the surrounding areas
4. with the kettles in story mode, i dont really know where they lead in 3, in 2 and 1 they led to other areas of octo valley/octo canyon (the settings of the hero mode) also as pointed out by cuttlefish in the octo expansion, making objects float is octo tech, its not explained HOW but its basically one of the trademarks of octarian technology
5. swimming in ink isent just swiming in ink, the inklings/octolings basically merge with their ink due to the fact their made of it
6. as for how inlings/octolings pass through grates and bars, its because their made of ink, they just pass through like a fluid would (still doesn't make sence why it doesn't work on some of the grates and bars in the plaza...
7. the salmonid behavior is explained in some areas of the game, the reason they return to the water after every wave is because a "wave" is a term used to describe a behavior where they swarm on land, and they return when its over, also the weapon rotations are (for some reason) apart of the job at Grizzco
The squeezer pops the cork out on the first shot which is why it has a more powerful first shot!
on number 22, you canonically become the ink
For 6: water is deadly because of how it disintegrates ink which their squid forms are made from
For 8: The white thing in alterna isn’t actually snow
For 18: when I their squid forms their bodies are made of ink which basically makes them an liquid so they can phase thro gates
For 22: again because your a liquid in squid form when you come in contact with the ink you submerge in it
I hope these answers help a bit!
