He was a Canadian-American country music artist. Most popular in the 1950s, he had a career that spanned more than 50 years, he recorded 140 albums and charted more than 85 singles on the Billboard country charts from 1950 until 1980.

I grew up in the outback of Australia listing to Hank on my battery radio I built up. I was immediately attracted to Hanks's songs as we lived right alongside the railway line. Hank's voice was very unique, and his guitar playing amazing. I had the good fortune to be able to see Hank live when he visited this part of the world back in the 60,s.

Hank Snow was the first country singer I heard as a youngster.
What an utterly sad, yes, tragic, ending Hank had! Retiring at 82 just to die from sudden heart failure at the innocent young age of 85.
We should all pray for such sad endings.
Being in England, you may know of, or have been to one of his UK tour venues in the early 70's. I saw him at The Odeon, Taunton. Also on that bill was Tompall Glaser, and Stringbean, who was part of Hanks backing group. I was never a fan, but I was with someone who was a fanatic! Each to their own etc..

I loved Hank Snow but can't stand the narrator's boring computerized voice. Hank's life did not have a "sad ending" The "sad ending" was added for click bait. After a long and successful career he died of natural causes at 85.

Get rid of the auto voice!! I grew up listening to Hank Snow. Simple searches don't find his true classics like White Silver Sands or My Filipino Rose
