This is when Country Music was real country music! Today’s isn’t Country any more. Gone. It was so good. No jumping around, and screaming nonsense. Very sad for America.

Very sad for the whole world! I'm from Scotland and I grew up with this kind of music. I still listen to it. What they call country today is utter crap. I'm still trying to figure out what went wrong, but thankfully there's a LOT of really good country recorded over the years to enjoy. Hank Snow sang two songs the night Hank Williams was acting as MC. You can hear the other one here: ruclips.net/video/GQmV0rrvaUs/видео.html

I grew up on Hank Williams, Hank Snow and Hal Lone Pine. My mom was from New Brunswick and used to listen and sing along with the radio. Her brother was a big fan too and had all sorts of records.

I grew up in Shetland, an archipelago in the far north of Scotland, and I listened to Hank Williams, Hank Snow, and all the rest. I still do, in fact! :-)

I have a recording of Hank Snow singing "I Wonder Where You Are Tonight" also introduced by Hank Williams. I'll try and post that next. :-)

This is about country as you can get. If it wasn't Alan Jackson, Dolly Parton, Reba McIntire. Country music would be dead an gone. The stuff that is coming out of Nashville isn't worth much.
