Steele player, Mike Johnson's dad played with Hank. Went on to play for Mel Street, then Bill Anderson. My ears were pinned to Mama's Hank records. I would shut myself off on New Years eve and just break down. Later, I met Mel Street(last 2-3 years of his life). Never will get over these two.

I grew up listening to Hank senior then blessed with Hank Jr and now its amazing that there’s a 3rd generation with Hank III and Sam. I feel very fortunate to have lived long enough to experience this much of the Williams family legacy. I know Hiram is smiling down on his family.

I loved Hank Sr. But I wouldn’t give a nickel for Hank Jr. He used being a Williams as an excuse for his stupid behavior. Junior barley even knew Hank senior. He was just a baby when his dad died. The “Family Tradition” should be good honest country music. Not drugs and alcohol.
