I grew up listening to Hank Sr. My daddy would put a record on around 5 in the morning as loud as the stereo would play. If my brothers and me didn't get up within about 5 minutes he would come in the bedroom, turn the light on and holler rise and shine boys. Mama would be cooking breakfast. We ate and went to work doing whatever daddy had on his agenda. We were and still are country and farm folks. Sure will be glad to see daddy and my grandparents again. My mama is still living, thank God. Don't you just wish you could turn the clock back. Especially once you get over 50. I loved Hank Sr then and still listen to him nearly every day. I have everything he ever recorded and released. So sorry to hear about Hank Jrs' daughter. God bless them all.

Saw Hank Jr. At Billy Bob's in Fort Worth, Texas in the late 80's had Georgia Satellites opening up for him. Went with my older sister who was really into country music and didn't listen to much rock and roll at the time-she wasn't sure what to make of the Satellites but it was a great show! They were great and Hank and his band were as always, fabulous! Can't remember how many different instruments Hank played...very talented musician and singer. Also love how he speaks his mind on things and doesn't back down like so many do nowadays because they're afraid of offending someone. God bless you Hank!

Beautiful car collection. Sorry i dont know much about Hank Jr. However I grew up from a baby boy listening to Hank Williams Senior. We had family weekend gatherings. Playing cards, eating food and drinking beer. Round about 10:3011:00 pm the country music started playing. Mostly Hank Williams. Everyone danced, that's just what we did. It was like magic. It was all about fun. No political bullshit , it just wasn't what we did. The old folks danced, sing along to the music drank beer.. Know I'm the elder and I do miss the gatherings. I've learned to find inner peace , I've had to learn to roll with the punches and turn off the news and keep playing music dance if it even by yourself.
My cousin had a 71' Chevy pick-up. I tripped out when Hank just now showed his red 65' Chevy. It looked so much like my cousin's. My cousin's had a 402 in it. Man, it hauled hell!

I can tell you "I know how you feel" because I really do. My son died May 22, 1999. I wouldn't wish the pain and heartache on my worst enemy. May God lift you up and ease the pain. I was seven years old, had to miss school one day because I was sick (really was sick this time). My mother was ironing clothes and she always had the radio on when doing so. I was on the couch nearby.

First vehicle I bought for my self was a 59 Chevy Apache 32 with an eight foot bed. Gave it to my Daddy when he retired. Him and my Uncle Dickey rolled it on a curve on a back road in Alabama after drinking. We named it "Pink Elephant Curve" after that happened.

Hank Sr. use to come to my town in northwest FL. He use to eat at my great grandpas restraunt and one day Hank let him drive one of his Cadillacs.
