Marty & Hank were both consummate masters of good country music. There's no airs about either of them. Hank sometimes breaks into a chuckle... he's just having a great time. True old-school warmth of heart. RIP to two gentlemen of the business.
this segment of Marty's spotlight shows has got to me one of favorites. Marty has chosen a couple of my favorites (and I love them bunches) and Hank does the same. Still loving the country music of yesteryear after all these years. Thanks you all who do the posting and of course you tube.
The magnificent Western voice of Marty Robbins, The one Album my mother owned when we were kids was Marty Robbins GUnslinger ballads Sing to my Mum in heaven will ya. Marty?
Love these songs never be another like the old singers. They sing there lives. But there heart in it. I listen to them all the time I have tears in my eyes there gone. Lot of memories.
These two men are among my favorites along with Jim Reeves ,Patsy Cline, and Johnny Horton . All of the above could sing a song and not whine it....Hal
Fabulous! The Grand Old Opry's Hank Snow was actually from Nova Scotia, with a difficult childhood, but a superb musical gift. His rendition of Blue Canadian Rockies is my favourite. Marty Robbins was also fabulous but died too soon; I enjoy his music to this day.
Wow! Two the this Country's greats together. What a treat for this time period. A million thanks for this posting! It's a temporary relief from the turmoils of today.
Shame that Marty never recorded 'I Guess I've Been Asleep' in it's entirety as he sings a snippet here superbly. Hank's performance on another great song 'I've Done At Least One Thing That Was Good In My Life' is fabulous. A pleasure to see these two icons of country music together.
Thank you so much for posting this wonderful video. Like several others here, I have been hearing the music of these two great performers for most of my life. It is such a treat to see them even after all these years.
There are so many great artists and songs, but I just don't think they make them like these anymore or maybe it's because they include so many wonderful memories that go with the music. There really are many talented singers and beautiful songs now days adding more music to be loved and remembered in times to come.
In 1 woord gewoon geweldig. In one word just great. All these wonderful great artist who are sadly gone but not forgotten. In our memory's they will live on and thanks to all these vids we are close to them. Thanks for posting.Greetings from the Netherlands.
Marty Robins had one of the smoothest & gentle voices of country music. Surely not like bull crap country today. Country has gone so far south its point of no return. Bring back Marty, Hank and Bakersfield. mos60
The very charismatic Marty Robbins up to his usual tricks, winding up Hank Snow while he's singing. Great entertainment and Hank lost it too but kept going! Many thanks for this posting, it's a treat.
Two of the greatest country singers ever. Great show. I particularly liked Hank singing 'I've Done At Least One Thing That Was Good In My Life' which in my opinion is better than the recorded version. Shame Marty never recorded 'I Guess I've Been Asleep All These Years.'
Can someone please let me know what is the correct name of the last song that Hank sings on this? Hank played the Tempo Ballroom near where I live back in the 1960's but alas I couldn't go as I was too young to frequent a ballroom! Thanks in advance.

Today's so called country singers can't even come close to the legends.

Wonderful stuff from a lost era. Todays so called country music is nothing but commercialised pop, thanks to the money grabbers in Nashville.
Hank snow always I saw Marty at the Ryman
I,ve been everywhere man, breathed the mountain air man!!
They don't make country music like this any more. What they say is country is not country.
