Slim Whitman was my late wife`s favourite sing after she passed away I found a old programme of when he performed in teh Capital cinema in Cardiff My wife was 18 yrs old then.

I grew up on Slim in the early 50s - I had older brothers - and still play him often. I was so blessed when he came out to Australia in the 70s, to go and see him and meet him later backstage. Such an important part of my growing up.

Since i left school in 1971 i herd slims voice for the very first time then i was hooked slims voice captured me like a magnet. Ive never herd such clarity in any song until that time then i was hooked with slim whitman fever i saw him on stage 4 times during the 1970s and i was just amazed by his voice. I won't say how long I thought he WAS from UK; didn't know he was from America for A VERY VERY long time.

The only sad ending for Perry started when his wife died, and Perry ended up with dementia, witch is normal as you get old. He was a good living religious man.
