- A waterproof, vapor-proof uncoupling membrane that can be used for crack-suppression in most tile, porcelain or natural stone installations, and can be applied over challenging substrates such as installation over green (young) concrete and single ply 19.2" (49 cm) oc wood framed floors. Membrane is designed differently than bonded membranes, with a sacrificial layer of fleece reinforced fabric that shears away, or uncouples, when exposed to excessive substrate movement, absorbing stress and preserving the surface and integrity of the tile. It's bonding layers have reinforced fleece which locks mortar into the mat, ensuring strong, reliable installations.

I like the straight forward look at the installation. It was a good look at the process. His thinset was really wet, and I appreciate that. Thanks!😃
You welcome... please remember adhesive for tile installation will be a little bit thicker
+Polmaster Construction & Tile Ltd Noted😉. Great vids, folks! I've learned a lot from a number of fine individuals, of whom ya'll are certainly a part!

+Batsen Belfry you welcome ...you can subscribe to see more every week
this is a good idea. if the floor concrete is crack levelling compound won't help in the future crack. Uncoupling membrane does the job for the crack or any movement but not the concrete board in the concrete floor...Well-done mate
Very nice brother I liked it too much and helpful for my next project. thanks and hope to see you in other renovation projects.
Great video and a fantastic work.
Thanks 👍
HI ✋️is there a multi purpose adhesive for sticking down decoupling waterpoof membrane and also using stick down tiles onto😢 membrane? Using the same adhesive?
My question, my concrete doesn't have a crack in it, it was installed 1987 should i still use an uncoupling membrane?
Important to wash the floor and key in the thinset before you trowel
Great video, thanks. How long before you can tile on it? Thanks
he doesn't back butter his tile??..how hollow is that going to sound?
great vid guys I see all the good products u are using thinset washbukets grouting system montolit p3 tile cutters and big trowels . definitely pros there
richard peatmont thank you for your comment
Some audio-visual detail would've been better. No mention of what mortar you used or trowel size you recommend. The stock music is annoying.
Do you have to lay the tiles right after you put down the membrane? Or can you let your initial thinset layer you first put under the membrane to dry, then tile at a later date?
You can begin setting tile right away but you risk breaking the bond of the membrane if you need to pickup/ adjust a tile. You'll need to stick you're margin trowel underneath the tile and sweep it away parallel to the mat it's self so you don't pickup the Mat. Or..OR... juat wait until it's dry tye next day.. make sure to follow correct curing times from thinset to grout.
What brand of uncoupling membrane is being used in this video?
Brandt Garrison Custom
What happens if you install the membranes upside down? Any ideas?
😂
Won’t work lol

give me his number so i can lose it.
thinset was to wet weaken material, and what about all the areas he removed thinset to instal clip system, it will have lots of broken corners in the future, and i could guess the grout was to wet also and will turn to dust quick.works like a pig trying to go to fast.my last a year enough time you wont get sued.poor customer.
The music is inappropriate and unhelpful. Better keep quiet or talk and explain what we're seeing. The video is too long, please cut it short and more concise. Cheers
