- A tribute to the drummer in the band Queen - Roger Taylor.
Fantastic musician and for sure a funny guy.
It's been fun and hard to pick clips - among thousands - 'cause he is often behind his drums, and I'd like to have something else to.
So here you are.
He has furthermore written the song - Radio Ga Ga.
There haven't been anyone until now - who could remotely do what Queen did at the stage. You did it well!
I apologize for the poor quality of some of the clips. But when you rip from someone who ripped it from someone who ripped it from a VHS - then it's doomed to happen.
I don't own any of these clips - I just composed them together - including the music.
I therefore have no rights over them.
If there's a time machine, I'd go back to this era and try to chase this guy... 😁😁😁

I get so misty eyed when I see things like this -oh what fun it must have been to be with these guys, hanging out while they created their music. I know everything wasn't roses and sunshine, but I will bet the majority of time, they were having fun, loving each other, being creative and just enjoying the scene. I hope the three remaining members have wonderful memories of these times, and I pray Freddie is smiling down from heaven. Queen was/is the best.

This film is my new favourite video. Most meaningful to me, at the beginning, Roger calmly saying he feels very lucky they had those fantastic times. For a moment it totally soothed my grief over losing 'them'. Thanks for the film. (Oh, I loved Freddie placing his crown on Roger's head.)

I think it's safe to say, he was the closest to Freddie. Not saying all three of them didn't love him, but I just have the feeling he was closer to Freddie then Brian and John were. I've seen interviews with him and in some of them, he still tears up when he mentions Freddie. Especially the interview him and Brian did on TV a week after Freddie died....Roger looked as if he was going to burst into tears.
I noticed that too. I felt sad for both of them. They both looked like they had been crying and had lost a lot of sleep. Roger did look like he was about to break down.

I don't think so. Each one had a different relationship with the others, and it's normal. I don't have the same relationship with my siblings, but I love them and I'm close to them equally. Deacie was the shy guy, Roger was more flamboyant, a bit like Freddie, Brian was the brain, so I suppose they each loved Freddie in their own way, and vice-versa

OMG Those eyes! Those eyes with those long eyelashes! What a cutie pie and so talented. And the man still looks good at 69 years old! i really think (and maybe the Queen experts can attest to this), but they seemed like really good friends and so relaxed with each other. You hear about bands breaking up because of huge egos and not getting along. Even the Beatles had their battles (John and Paul)... but these guys obviously got along and had so much fun together. Loved this!
I was a teenager when Queen was in their heyday. Somehow I had never seen the “I Want To Break Free” video. I finally saw it here (RUclips). I almost didn’t recognize Roger!! I hit rewind, watched it again. I almost fell off my seat. He’s much more beautiful than some women I know - including me 🤣🤣
I love this man. He's very talented about the drums. For me, he is a genius of Music. God gave them an amazing and wonderful talents. I love Queen Band. Their band is magnificient. Roger Taylor looks stunning when he was a young. I therefore conclude that the British people are excellent about Music. No one can beat them. Love lots from the Philippines.

Roger: How many more Galileo's do you want? .... Roger: (about to throw a teapot in a fit of frustration) .... Freddie: Roger there's only room in this band for one hysterical Queen. .... FORTUNE FAVORS THE BOLD. And yes, the 70's era, rock 'n' roll, messy hair, bell bottoms & bare feet ... if not bare, then they had stacks. The songs are a time machine, a fabulous time machine. He always cute way he talks never changed, even until now. He wrote Radio Ga Ga I think. Went to the resemble band of Queen called Killer Queen experience concert. It was great, the singer who resembled Freddie was a wonderful performer. We sing this song with him together. Love the atmosphere last night, everyone had a great time there.

Hardest working guy in the band. Imagine playing like he did for 2 hours each concert. I get tired just watching him play "Now I'm Here", after already playing for an hour into the concert, and still have another hour left to go. Even he said that song was exhausting, and he dreaded playing it some nights.

Over the course of the next year I bought all their previously released albums.
Over the course of the next 15 years I bought each new album as they came out, some on the day of their release.
I don't find that kind of passion for things nowadays.
