@@athenarxs For the time being. Queen will come back and this time, it will be just as it was since the 70s and 80s. As a matter of fact, I'm planning to put together a Retro Decade Revival Project. Our goal is to bring old school, real entertainment, true talent, pure originality and diversity and more back into the public mainstream, starting with the 1980s.

Welp, radio is everywhere as we know it
It was for me :) I'm not that old ( 52 ) but remember that a lot of my music influences came from the radio as a kid. Here in the UK we had BBC1, BBC2 and ITV as far as TV went. Channel 4 launched in 1982 ... When I was 15.
Radio played a big part in my interest in music, especially with stations like Radio Luxembourg, also as a kid listening to late night Radio One which exposed me to a lot of music from all over the world and all sorts of genres.
And, yes, the radio was almost a mystical object ... It could transport me into many places on the planet, expose me to cultures I had not experienced before, and ( mainly ) introduce me to amazing music I had not heard before.
I'd have to say that the mid 70's to around 1980 I found the radio more important to my life than the TV.

This song makes you nostalgic about memories that never even happened.
Fa sho
Best stage performer ever! Rest in peace Freddy
True that....
And nostalgic for the one that did with all of your old buddies on GTA 5 in 2013. After seeing all the different paths we began to walk after that. This songs always takes me back to those warm summers of heists and having fun. And the really cold winters. Such a timeless song
Y our lucky you missed some of those memories hun! My age ( during Queen and beyond) were things we would like to forget! 😢
Freddie chose the film 'Metropolis' for this video and by doing so proved he was an absolute genius. 'Metropolis' was about enslaving the public and making them robotic slaves to work for the upper class, with only the rich being free. Freddie is expressing his love for the radio because it sets the nation free from enslavement with music.
EDIT: I'm referring to the choice of film folks, NOT the lyrics.
Very insightful and inspiring comment! Thank you. 👍
Yeah but he didn’t write the song. Roger Taylor did.
@Rowen Starchild It's completely inaccurate though, Roger Taylor wrote it about the takeover of MTV from Radio. It had nothing to do with " politics" for a start Freddie wasn't even political or a socialist.
At least people at that time still have radio, and good music.. Nowadays there are no good music anymore
@@tintonbagustriyoko8676 We still have radio. But there is no good music on radio or tv. That is correct.
I don't know why, but I find this song so beautiful. Like, I get so emotional listening to this. Especially at the "who just don't know, and just don't care" part. For me, this is the best song Roger wrote ♥♥
To me it’s Queen’s best song
@@adrianotefelheinimann359 Agreed
I can't get enough of this song.
*cough *im in love with my car* *cough
WHAT ABOUT I AM IN LOVE WITH MY CAR!??!?!?!
It's my favourite Queen song, and I also get a bit emotional. It came out at a time when I was a teenager getting started in listening to Radio a lot, first to distant AM stations at night and then to international stations on short wave. So the first verse of this song and the line "Radio, someone still loves you" mean a lot to me.
Listening today in honor of WCBS 880 news radio, for everything I had to know. Like all good things, on you we depend. Yet all good things must come to an end.
*Director* : so who’s gonna drive the car ??
*Roger* : yes
he is in love with cars
CRINGE
Yes
So,much for a car fedish.
Roger: *DONT YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!*
Freddie, thank you for your music. Respect from Poland.
ON JUŻ TEGO NIE PRZECZYTA.
Squakea No i co z tego?
actually, it was roger taylor who wrote this
wait whatXDDDDDDDDD
@@BeatrizPDiniz I was about to comment that
QUEEN IS THE BEST BAND IN THE HISTORY OF ROCK
I know it is! 😺
In the history of music**
correction *history of music
Siii
you wrote only one thing worng:
... IN THE HISTORY OF ROCK...
man,it is the best band that ever exited and will exist
Legends.
My parents never paid too much attention to Queen, despite them being my favorite band. But this song has always been one of their favorites since this came out when they were teens. It is now one of my favorite!
Ironic that this is a music video with nostalgia for radio, but still fantastic. LOVE IT 3000 !
When I look to Brian May I think he's a very nice guy way back then til now. He has just that humble and soft voice while he speak. And Freddie is not a self centered person as well because the way he sees the Queen is not by his own self but as them as a band. :)
They were a family after all so it makes sense
A nice guy, with a phd in astrophysics, and a man who then proceeded to play a guitar solo, while on a skateboard, shooting lasers, in a son titled invisible man
Don't forget Brian is a devoted animal rights activist who campaigns against fox hunting and badger culling
I just can't wait until November to watch Queen Bohemian Rhapsody movie
me too, everyday all day lately I've been listening to Queen, singing Queen, discovering other songs I didn't really know about before. And in the past week alone I've become a huge Queen/Freddie Mercury fan. Counting down the days until the November release of the movie!
Sparkles and Sunshine Do you think that Rami Malek will be any good at portraying a super man like Freddie?
@@AlexShiroki that's a great question. At first, I was a little bit disappointed because of the whole thing where Sacha Baron Cohen was originally kind of supposed to play the role. I thought he would have been perfect but of course that didn't work out. I was still a little bit disappointed though because I thought Rami doesn't look anything like him and has too small of a build to play him. I do however respect Rami Malek as an actor and I think he's great so I have warmed up to the idea of him played Freddie now, and I think he'll be pretty darn good. plus I suppose the small figure will help for the scenes that take place in Freddie's younger days as well as his ill days towards the end of his life.
So in conclusion, I am now looking forward to rami's portrayal of him. :-) I am super pumped for the movie. Seriously listening to Queen everyday and watching Freddie documentaries and concert clips on RUclips every day!
NEITHER ME !!!!!!
Same
I don’t get why people would dislike the most beautiful and amazing song ever
they just have a bad taste on music
Maybe deaf
No, it's not the best song in the world,no even the best song of Queen. But they are more than 35.000people that they dislike this song....WHY you sould even hit this button.....just why???????????
