Even though I wasn't yet in this world to experience this concert (looking at Poland as a whole back then, maybe luckily even), I remember reading about how legendary it was. It was almost like a glimpse into the West through the Iron Curtain, maybe those feelings had a hand in the whole attitude that helped kick off the Solidarity movement in the adjacent Gdańsk just a year later.
Technology did not limit him in any way, he shows that he had no limitations with this microphone. How many stars today would give up dancing?
