I remember getting detention in middle school P.E for screeching “I wanna run through your wicked garden” loud enough to drown out an important P.A announcement. Worth it.

The concert portion of this video was filmed in downtown San Diego. STP was going to film the video & then do a free show afterwards. My friend & I were in line for the show & we got pulled out of the line & invited inside for the filming. They performed the song several times in a row to make the video. It was awesome! I like to remind my kids that their mom was a hottie in her 20’s! :)

Nobody has the lyrics up so I’ll put them up
Can you see like a child?
Can you see what I want?
I wanna run through your wicked garden
Heard that's the place to find you
'Cause I'm alive, so alive now
I know the darkness blinds you
    Can you see without eyes?
    Can you speak without lies?
I wanna drink from your naked fountain
    I can drown your sorrows
I'm gonna burn, burn you to life now
Out of the chains that bind you
Can you see just like a child?
Can you see just what I want?
Can I bring you back to life?
    Are you still alive?
    Burn, burn, burn, burn, burn
    Burn your wicked garden down
    Burn, burn, burn, burn, burn
Burn your wicked garden to the ground, yeah
    Can you feel pain inside?
    Can you love?
    Can you cry?
I wanna run through your wicked garden
Heard that's the place to find you
'Cause I'm alive, so alive now
I know the darkness blinds you
Can you see just like a child?
Can you see just what I want?
Can I bring you back to life?
    Are you still alive?
    Burn, burn, burn, burn, burn
    Burn your wicked garden down
    Burn, burn, burn, burn, burn
Burn your wicked garden to the ground, yeah
    Phenomenal song

I remember meeting somebody at a dance class. Her name was Alyssa, and she was really into Rock music and dance. As I had the same interests, we became friends. I introduced her to STP, and she absolutely adored them. After awhile of dancing and listening to STP, she said to me "You know, we should really create a dance for Wicked Garden. Mainly the chorus." I liked the idea, thinking that making choreography for Hard Rock was original. So together we made a one of the hardest chores I've ever done. We were 10 back then. I'm 13 now, and I still do the dance we made whenever I hear this song. Alyssa isn't dead, I just wanted to tell the story. Love you Lys 💙

If anyone cares...this video was filmed at the old club soma in downtown San Diego. Video shoot during the day and a free concert at the same venue that night. KGB FM announced the video shoot that morning and whoever got there b4 noonish was let in. luckily at the time I was happily living unemployed in downtown SD.
I was standing above Eric's kit during the shoot. Director told us to shake the chicken wire fence fast as we could. walked away with some bloody knuckles but still worth it. So long ago. Weiland was quiet but cool. spoke to us bit. He hand picked all the kids there for the closeup shots. very cool dayz..

Wow, I was just floored when I heard the news last night that STP's frontman Scott Weiland had died in Minnesota. :( STP was one of my favorite bands growing up in the 90s, their music was captivating and Scott was responsible for this with his raw and bluesey voice. We lost one of the music industry's great vocalists, RIP Scott, you will always have a fan right here and we will forever miss and celebrating your music for many years to come.
