"Breathing is the hardest thing to do..." I can dig that lyric

Too tired to sleep.

Agreed
I don't even really like rock music but THE 90's (92.3 k-rock) proved me wrong.
Most of the music I listened to as a teenager I still listen to
Great time to be in your 20's, too.

Who is still listing to this masterpiece in 2024!
This song reworks the playbook of Zep's Since I've been loving you, Stax or any number of Allman Brothers tunes. It's got that laid back in the pocket Robert Johnson feel. The essence of pure genius as it weaves together some many different genres. It's obvious these kids absorbed all the late 60s and 70 music from their parents' record collection. It's so good I'm surprised Jimmy Page didn't steal it.
Yezzir!
I never stopped.
Me, Great music never ages ✌🤘

I was ten and just hit my first home run in Babe Ruth league. My dad had a Marlboro lit in our Dodge Neon with this song playing on DC101 and patted me on the head and told me he was proud of me. Had a lot of ups and downs in life, but nothing compares to that moment. This song always takes me back

Waiting on a Sunday afternoon
For what I've read between the lines
Your lies
Feeling like a hand in rusted shame
So do you laugh or does it cry

Leaving on a Southern train
Only yesterday you lied
Promises of what I seemed to be
Only watched the time go by
All of these things you said to me

With all I've said and all that's dead for

One of the most refreshing greatest songs ever to me. It’s like chugging ice cold water when you’re really thirsty.
The lyrics are brilliant in all of their songs , the media and the music industry never gave them the respect they deserved. Scott’s voice was absolutely beautiful from the first time I heard him sing a lyric I was in love with his voice and music. The most amazing artists are always tortured. They never wanted their fame to go to their heads. RIP Scott I hope you found peace.

Definately unique
This band should be in the rock and roll hall of fame.
Fuck the r&r hall of fame, they pay to get into that BULLSHIT SHAM
Facts
They were slighted by snobby rock music critics from the get go. It seemed there was a faction in the business that much favored the darlings of Alternative Rock namely bands from the Seattle area. They were branded as Pearl Jam as well as Nirvana clones simply because some of their songs sounded a little grungy. Those people that think STP was trying to be a grunge band never listened to their albums. They took the word of some writer from Rolling Stone Magazine that they were posers as Scott was an Eddie Vedder wannabe. Anyone who thinks Scott and Eddie sound alike has a tin ear.
@@snattlerthat is why rolling stone magazine has lost its credibility.

I feel like Stone Temple Pilots never quite got their due because they were constantly overshadowed by Nirvana and Pearl Jam. They’re a grunge staple.
Dude I was born in 89 and I was mainly in to TX and Cali rap growing up, but I just recently discovered STP and freaking love them man, I originally thought nirvana was my fav rock band but this band is just as badass too no lie homie
ABSOLUTELY!! IK theyre from San Diego not Seattle but who gives a fuck about they're geographical location fr. I feel there were 5 main bands of grunge not 4. JUST as I feel AIC was a lil overshadowed undeservedly by the other 3 STP was much more so. STP was as much a part of my life in that time even more so than 1 or 2 of the "GRUNGE 4" bands and definitely just as kickass.
Each with their own.
For me, the first STP records and Superunknown by Soundgarden are the best grunge records
Nirvana was to much Pistols
I am fan of The Cranberries and in my opinion STP was in the same level than Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, but Mass media sometimes is a huge shit
Dude i was born in a Latin American country, and a lot of teenagers were into grunge and STP was one of the bands we listened to, so they were as famous as Nirvana.

This is a Country Song guys. These "grunge" dudes did an awesome country song. And a damn good one. This is how freaking cool this band is. Much love. Honestly, the bands versatility is off the charts. What a great track.
STP and soundgarden were incredibly versatile bands back in their prime. In terms of aural diversity, they both seemed to go a bit beyond the metallic, grungy sound of their peers.
Both bands had songs that were oddly pleasant mixtures of hard-driving, twangy, psychedelic, and sometimes proggy riffs that made them stand out from the rest of the pack.
The 90's in general, was a great era for sonic exploration and experimentation. At least that's my opinion.

This song makes me tear up for some reason. Scott couldn't conquer his demons but he left us some great tracks. Hope you found peace at last my brother.
Can't separate the two. If he didn't have that highly mercurial element inside himself, & all that comes along with living in a world that does its best to crush everyone, while euphoria exists as an achievable escape from the drudge, however temporary & fraught with risk ... this song wouldn't exist. Some people are gifted with the ability to walk into the fire, come back out the other side & describe it to the rest of us, but fire does burn. He lived the way he chose to. The world is better for him having done so.

Greatest Love Songs !!!
life goes on,memory remains
Two bands I've always came back to over the years, Stone Temple Pilots and Alice in Chains. Amazing music, great singing...cant get enough of that bass stirring things up in the background , or the signing ..what a mesmerizing song even the 1000th time.
We've got a connoisseur fellow here. Cheers!
I'm not a karaoke guy but was out with friends and a bit lit, so I did this. Brought the house down... was a great time!
My favorite band
They were our voices of the time. And Seattle was blowing up. At least we have the music, Scott ...☹️
Nirvana and Soundgarden are two gems too.
That iconic riff at 0:52. One of the essential sounds of the 90s, in my opinion. Evokes the image of busting out of the front doors on the last day of school, welcoming summer, trotting out as skateboarders whiz by....
I wasn’t even born in the 90s but I can picture that.
easy riff to play too.. :)
Please stop.. I can't handle it.. :((( Turning 39 next month..
@@1georgekitchen lol i feel ya man im turning 38 in june

This song was a staple and I didn't even realize it at the time . I am almost 51 now and it just hits home more than ever now . Heard it on the radio and my cd player so much back then . My health is failing me now and this is taking me back to simpler , better times . To be young again . Hanging with friends and listening to this without a care in the world . R.I.P. Scott . For three minutes and fifty-two seconds I am young and immortal again !!!!
Still great so many yrs later
Underrated band
