My sister died of a drug overdose 9 years ago today. I know this song is called 'dead and bloated' so it's probably not the best song to remember her by but I also firmly believe that it's not about a song's content it's about what you feel when you hear it. This album spent a lot of time in her dodge neon cd player and it's also the car I drive now. We rocked out so hard in that car to this album. The day after she died I was driving somewhere for some reason that no longer matters anymore. This song came on and felt her in the passenger seat right beside me singing at the top of her lungs. She felt so close that I could touch her. I know it was her telling me goodbye and giving me one last car session with her. I'll never forget that feeling or that day. I love you, Amber.

I thinks it's crazy how Scott Weiland was like a vocal chameleon; he almost sounded like a different guy on every song.

I remember buying this album back in 1992. I was 20, and I thought I knew everything. This was the first track on the CD, and I was sooo blown away and an instant fan. Now, I'm 51, older and fatter...but I still am blown away by this track.

I saw Chester Bennington of Linkin Park and Scott Weiland of STP sing this together at Family Values Tour in October 2001 in Denver, Colorado. It was a beautiful performance.

This song has the meanest bass line ever. I love it.

  • @romanticdonkey468

Just casually listened to about 10 STP songs. Saw this song, put on my headphones, and cranked the volume. Can’t disrespect this song with low volume.
