The first vid I'm working on is not so much my main idea of my new channel, but something I'll be incorporating as additional vids and information. But, as a dry run, I decided to use my granddaughters making toilet bombs (fizzies), they're 6 & 7 (they had fun helping me out). Figured it would be a good run at trying the new camera and learning software to edit it before I embarrass myself and put me out front and center, lol... All good though...
I'm finally making a gaming video with the same attempt at humor lol.
weird enough there are children here in our country that struggle now with our own native language due to most content being available in English. (my daughter included) so in our effort to have her learn our language she will also learn by doing a teach-back through her content :) That we she helps herself and hopefully help others too! (that and some fun stuff, we're keeping her entertained given the lockdown) lol
I’m working on editing my vlog experience starting out in the modeling industry. I am so stoked- it’s coming along so well 😍
Last fall I did a series of little history-focused video projects with my grandkids to learn how to do ... well ... anything involving video. Next I'm working on a 77-day video challenge recommended by Darren LaCroix from Stagetime University, but I'm going to modify his rules to suit my purposes. I'll do RUclips videos, learning to turn them out quickly while still having decent content, and I'll suggest ideas grandparents can use to use to create history-focused videos with their grandkids. All 20 of my followers (who are all relatives) are bound to enjoy it ; )

I had 0 subscribers for about a month before I did one thing. Be genuine. If you’re not genuine in front of a camera, people can see it. They see that you aren’t being yourself and, as a result, will see through your act. So if you aren’t already, set up your camera, press record, and just be yourself! Nobody can be you because you are the ONLY you! 👌🏻

Since i started my channel i always go by one rule, “As long as You Are Not Bored With Your Own Content, You Are On The Right Path”
That's a good guideline. Figuring out your target audience and stepping in their shoes is also effective - what do THEY want? Deliver that.
Simple, but hard to execute.

I've tried to be successful on RUclips for a couple of years now and it took those couple of years to understand that it isn't about the number. Just focus on your growth as a producer, editor, cameraman, and person and you will be much happier. That's what does it for me

I've been on RUclips for 16 years and used to have an active channel back in 2006-2009 when I worked as a radio personality. However, I stopped making videos in 2009 and my subscriber count dropped significantly. I've been looking to build my account back up again after many years. So thank you for this video! What I learn so far as a creator is be patience with results, but be impatience with your actions.
A good way to start is to wonder what you want to create yourself, what do you love doing. Why would you want to make a popular video? Make something you are proud of for yourself and don't judge yourself based on the number of likes or viewers. Or others, for that matter

I was just reading Tony Robbins new book, and in the first chapter he discusses again how he realized that the best way to figure out how to improve his life was to find people who had already done it, and learn from them. So this is a big point here. There are people who went from ZERO to 10,000 subscribers. It can be done. There are methods and paths to get it done. So hopefully, Heather can show us HOW to do it. SHE did it. This is the way SHE and others have done it, so it's learnable. That's very encouraging.

I’m close to 50k subs and one thing I learned is that if you dont take the time to study your analytics, you’ll never what’s working for your channel. Focus on optimizing your content as much as possible using high CTR thumbnails and SEO optimized videos.
As a new RUclipsr.... i can admit that controling my self to not be on the analytics tab the whole time is reeeally difficult...

I have a question. My most recent video is not showing up on my home page under "recently uploaded". This has never happened before! If I click on content I can still find it, and it plays fine. Not only that, it is getting views and comments! So it must be visible to the public. But it is not appearing on my home page anywhere that i can find. The one from the day before is still there. I did check to see if it was mistakenly listed private, and it is not. I made one small edit when I posted it, trimming the length at each end by a few seconds (using RUclips editing). It processed quickly and normally. There are no copyright violations or claims. Nothing wrong with it at all, so why is it not listed? I need it to show up, not only for people going on my home page but for my own records. I post every day and it would be hard to keep track of anything that does not show up. Would reuploading help? P.S., I have tried RUclips customer support on numerous occasions and got nowhere.
Even after starting my channel I'm still taking hours of watching these videos to learn and grow. And I'm grinding and making sure I post one TikTok, one RUclips short, one RUclips video eveyday. I've also shared my RUclips on Facebook and was worried about people trampling my dreams yet I was shocked and surprised to see that I got Soo much support! I'm going to keep grinding and I'm not going to slow down. I've got this! No! We've got this!
I don’t think I have enough content for one short one full video and a video on TikTok everyday.
I really struggle with how to topics because in my own niche - (health and fitness) everyone wants “how to lose weight in 1 day” or “how to jump to x or y extreme” and my approach to health and nutrition is the exact OPPOSITE!
It’s been a true challenge but with more and more videos I’m learning some of the pain points of my target audience ✨
Answer the specific question YOU want to answer for YOUR audience. You don't want the audience that wants to lose weight in ONE day. You want the audience that wants to "Lose weight and keep it off." or You want the audience that wants to "Lose weight without DIETING (i.e., practicing sound nutrition). The loose weight in one day people are not your audience. Follow YOUR passion don't chase after the quick fix something for nothing crowd. There are fewer people in YOUR audience but they will be more loyal repeat viewers.
You can make videos about losing weight and keeping it of. How to stay motivated while keeping a healthy lifestyle. 5 small changes you can make to start your weightloss. How to get back on track after a cheat day. Pros of losing weight in a slow but sustainable way. Cons of losing weight to quickly. Hope these help. 😀
I'm a health coach (and want to start a youtube channel but not on health coaching or weightloss-something completely different, lol), but I will say that something my clients need most is "how to lose weight with self-compassion"
