All these traits are exactly what I had to discover and hone. I found Sean in 2016 after 4 years of making YT a hobby as a stay at home mom. I decided to make it a side hustle, thinking I would never want to be a solopreneur since my hubby and I already have a small brick and mortar business. Then 2 years later, the progress made me a solopreneur. Now this year I have been figuring out systems since my business is now in the scale phase, which I never thought would happen. And yes, I am working on sharpening the saw. Everything Sean says in this video is correct and perfect. If you want to go full-time, even while holding a full-time job, follow him. I put about 15 hours per week into my income streams on top of my full-time job. You can do it...and not burn out. All the best to you.

I am slowly inching my way back and instead of just makeup, I think it's time I went deeper. It's always reassuring to hear your voice leading us back to the grind. It's time to make a new start. There's some value left in this old lady yet! LOL Thanks Sean and team.

  • @davidarifine

Man thank you so much for the constant encouragement! I’ve definitely burnt myself out more than once and I’ve only made around 70 vids! I find that it is really important to hear these things repeated every few months or so. So thank you! It’s so easy easy to get caught up in the momentum of productivity and then try to take on more than than I can handle. I make hiking and skiing video location guides and I recently messed up my back because I was editing at a desk all week between carrying cameras up and down mountains on weekends, not doing proper conditioning for what I was putting my body through to pump out those vids, not taking care of myself or not “sharpening the saw” as you said. My best work has always come out of the mentality that you have got to keep your head down and focus on the small wins, one video at a time because as soon as I get comfortable with my progress, I start to take my hard work for granted, divide my focus by taking on too much and then burn out from overdoing it. Then nothing gets done. Now I’m recovering, doing my PT twice a day and slowly getting get back into it. Thanks again man, much love and respect for everything you do 🙏 your book and videos are constantly reminding me how to stay on track and I know that when my channel “FinerBub” does finally support me full time, I will owe a great deal of that success to your teachings. Keep killing it and thanks again ✌️

Just recently discovered this channel & love the line “...without loosing your soul”. Fantastic video.
I take Fridays every week to spend time with my family without fail. We take walks, Play games, Watch movies, etc.., family time only, no working. Then I set apart some learning time when my wife & kids go to bed, such as watching this video.🤣 I also work on my health every day to not only be physically strong but also mentally. To prioritize my most important items for tomorrow... today/tonight. I’m still the “Everything” person on my RUclips channel & stream. I hope to one day build it up to a point so I can add people to a “Alpha” team who can help me with editing, graphics, etc. Thanks for the inspiration! ❤️🤙

Can never beat the value that you give us in these videos. Very cool to see and hear about certain statistics especially since I'm the analytical type. It's also cool to see how some of my channels do compared to the average and compared to each other; my two main ones being 23k subs with 817 videos uploaded and this new, completely different and completely organically grown (no self promoting on my other big channel that I since quit) that hit just about 1.1k subs with just about 50 uploads. The category and what you actually make videos on plays such a huge role in how many people click subscribe. An example would be someone in the finance and self-wealth industry, people eat that stuff up and are much quicker to subscribe even from a single video or two that give them value (i'm no exception)! RUclips is an amazing platform, and I love being apart of the millions of creators on here. It's amazing.

I’m getting to that 100 video mark. I’m making sure I’m proud of each one that I post. It’s funny actually, the ones that I work hardest on and edit like three evening, I get less views than the ones where I just sit and talk to camera for 15 mins hahaha. But it’s ok, I love filming and editing the more visually cool videos

Really enjoy the videos Sean and want to thank you for the invaluable info. I have not hit the record button yet and you've shot all my excuses in your other videos, but I have made the decision to pull the trigger and hit that record button this year. When I do pull the trigger and hit that button I'm planning on starting out at first as a hobby and build my confidence, but my ultimate goal is to go full time so that in the end I'll be able to spend my time at homestead property . I have the desire to get going and willing to put in the hustle and I'd like to thank a fellow "Mossback" (born and raised in Washington state) for developing your channel and the Think Media brand to give me and those like me who want to start and maintain an online presence.

@@MarioValentinoTV I started my fishing adventure's channel 6 weeks ago now :-) I had had a channel for years but never really understood any of the science or psychology of becoming a successful creator. So about 4 years ago I started learning how to become successful on RUclips! So I haven't just jumped out of bed and gone out filming and posting willy hilly on RUclips "LOL"
I had no experience in either film creation at all I knew how to use a camera thou :-) I have sat for many hours watching videos like your own and just random videos on RUclips!
It's taken me 4 years almost to even start filming and editing my own videos! And I only started doing that practically 6 weeks ago! I knew the principle and also the software's frame work is very similar to the DAW that I use to produce music so I learned how to use the editing software in a matter of seconds :-) But I still have a lot to learn! And I have started a channel that will cost a lot just to make the videos! I started a Fishing adventure channel!
6 weeks ago I didn’t have a rod or reel! So over the last 6 weeks I've been spending little bits of money on very basic tackle etc.. Just so I could make a few videos of us out with fishing rods cause its winter the fish aren't as active and we didn’t catch a thing but a cold and some ice on the tips of our rods "LOL"
So last night I spent well over £300 to buy myself some proper fishing set ups and baits. It has cost me over £100 just to get the licenses and permeations to actually go out fishing :-/ I've had to get extra Go Pros and filming equipment.
So not only is it hard work every day! Trying to get fish "LOL" to bite just for a camera in all weathers come hail, sun, rain or sub-zero temperatures iv even fallen in the river "LOL" Then the sitting down watching and editing footage all night it is very hard work.
And I'm not even at 100 subscribers yet but 43 in 6 weeks and my videos have mostly all got over 100 views some nearly 400. I'm actually proud of myself for once and most of it has been through learning from other RUclips Creators like yourself :-)
And please all you new creators don’t be put off by my post!! You do NOT! Need to spend the money I am to get started!! I have chosen a topic that requires me to have the correct equipment to actually get the content I have chosen for my channel!
So it doesn't need money to start off a good channel at all! I have just chosen that route to go down!
But if you guys would like to see a new channel as it starts from scratch both learning how to be a RUclips creator, film editor and getting myself back into one of the world's oldest sports Fishing Come on over and show your support to a new growing channel! But always remember don’t give up and keep posting as much content as you can as often as you can!!
And watch this man's videos I've learned so much that way from other creators on RUclips!!

    I saw a sign once
A successful person is someone who has had a lot of fails but learn to grow from them.
I get the staying healthy part last memorial day 2020 I weighed 215 lbs, after changing my eating habits and started walking more I'm down to 180 lbs, my ultimate goal is 165 lbs, I hope to make it by Memorial Day 2021 or be close to it.
My joint inflammation is gone😀 I would like to start running again but a bad ankle and knee don't allow that but I can walk I got my hiking staff and I three leg all over the place, I'm 58 and I realize after a lifetime of motorcycle and skateboard injuries it time to pay up but not give up.

Thanks for all the tips! As a speech therapist, I started making videos during the pandemic to help clinicians and parents navigate through the new telehealth services. I was blown away how well they were received, however, I fell out of the routine since I had to focus on my health, and now I feel intimidated again to be on camera and do all the hard and long editing work. But it is in my heart to serve and give back and I need to recommit to putting valuable content out there and know that others can benefits from what I have to share. You were one of the first persons I followed to get me started on this path. Thank you and keep rocking it!
