Bruh, this is the best advice and when you talked about the years of experience and how RUclips is not leveled...you are legit. Many think that they are trash at YT because they do not have the editing skills or experience.

Awesome. Just Awesome. I just started my 2nd channel a few months ago (the first one was a fitness related channel that I was never very passionate about and stopped doing it.) I've been doing a lot of research on how to "speed up" the growth process. This is, by far, the best video I've come across about what it really takes to get monetized or just build your channel, that I've seen. Thank you for your candor and for breaking down the 'heady' stuff into very simple, understandable terms that us, non-social media/techie-types can understand. I'll be watching more of you stuff soon. Keep up the great work. Thanks!
The biggest reason why Ed's videos are so addicting is because he knows what our questions are and he's answering all of them, he's even answering the quesitons that we didn't know we had .... 3 hours later. Here I am. There are so many gold nuggets here that it's really difficult to just watch it once and think you've got it. He created the avatar, did the research and found a topic that seems to be important to the avatar. Then his stategy is to create the first video with a title that's Search friendly. It's a topic no one has covered. If they searched it, his first video would be at the top. (If it's a topic people covered, then it won't work I'm guessing. ) Bring in initial audience. Video 2-4 are also Search Friendly using evergreen titles. This brings in more viewers. Video 5 targets avatar frustrations, interstest, goals for your avatar. The key is when you start to make videos for Browse, you'd want to think what would these viewers like to watch next after they watch the video they found thru Search. Create some title ideas and start making the videos. If I got this wrong, please correct me.
thanks for how real you are- so many people have these videos as click bait and you actually give real perspective and examples, much appreciated and continue your success!
Bro, this is good shit. Much better than a lot of the other youtuber based content I’ve watched, much more detailed advice than the more broad tips I’ve seen from multiple channels.

Honestly my guy I was ready to be done with RUclips again cause I didn't think it was possible to grow a new channel again. I WAS WRONG. You show in complete transparent and easy detail how to do it. I WILL MAKE IT 2022. THANK YOU!!
Thank you for taking the time to create this video. I found it really interesting. I created my channel Recovery Lab TV during the start of the pandemic, offering daily LIVE exercise videos. Mostly because I am a Coach and lots of people I know where struggling mentally and missed exercising and/or coming to my actual classes. So I used RUclips as a way to reach out to them. When creating my channel I've always thought about creating a communty, putting them first instead of an algorithm. Many because I generally want to make a difference in people's lives and want to use my channel to do this, whilst reaching a much larger audience, but also, dont know enough about it the technical side to how RUclips works yet. My channel has grown organically since, but no where near what yours did during this experiment. But that's because I didn't know about all "tricks" you mentioned in this video, so thank you so sharing. SUPER useful! Time to see if it makes a difference... 😉🤣
I’m binging (sp?) on your videos. I’m a week away from launching my FIRST video. Thanks for all the info. I like not only the content, but also the size of the videos. I can easily squeeze in a video or 3, t each meal time. Really appreciate you. 🎉CONGRATS on being monitized.🎉

I’m glad you were honest at the end and talked about all the advantages you had about making videos for years before. But a lot of these tips I’ve been implementing and has been working
I appreciate that you point out the errors and failure points in your methods and that you tried to build from the bottom to get more relevant and up to date information on this. This is the video that got me to actually subscribe rather than just take what is useful and leave. So many how to RUclips channels don't adapt or admit that their methods might not work for everyone and it frustrates me.
Thanks so much for your content! I was really in a slump I have watched 3 videos of yours in one hour and feel like I learned more than a course I paid money for. Thanks!
Hey, I am not sure if you are still reading comments on this page, but I got monetized in about 9 weeks. I followed everything you said and the results are pretty impressive. Thank you so much for this video. I will definitely include this in my thank you video :)
it means a lot for small channel like mine to see thi video and to be boost and reminded why we make the channel in first place. really thank you ! and congratulations on your milestones!
Love this content - it's also amazing how your strategy is very similar to a corporate or service strategy I've used in management consulting; especially the Avatar part.
That is exactly what I needed to hear. It's kind of hard at the beginning (just started last week) but if you put effort into quality content sooner or later you will hit it. Thank you so much for your tips. Love. Nadine.xx
Great things take time. Treating your views as human not algorithms. I also learned you don’t have to promote your RUclips channel on other social media that makes you feel judged by your friends and families. Instead just focus on how to provide good content for your views in your targeted community.

Thank-you for showcasing my video in your RUclips search example "How to bake a cake" that was so cool to see my video there at the top of the search on your video today! I love everything you are teaching and agree wholeheartedly! My cake video happened to go viral due to a combo of the seo search and the suggested. I uploaded it way back in 2011 and it took about 3 years before RUclips started to showing it in suggested and WOW what a difference! I totally agree, focus on suggested! (but make use of search too to get your video out there to grab those first views plus Google will rank it for free for you too when you do.) Big hugs🤗
@@FilmBooth It's awesome, happened a few weeks ago when I was watching one of Sunny Lenarduzzi's videos too. I wonder how many RUclipsrs use How to bake a cake as their SEO example. If you ever want to use my video as a case study of search vs suggested, I'd be happy to give you back office stat screenshots or whatever. I really want to help empower RUclipsrs to make the most of their channels and videos. I was in a coma in 2016 and woke up with a permanent lung disability so could no longer bake. So I changed the focus of my channel but I know it does confuse the algorithm. I've considered setting up separate channels I just hate to see that one go dead since I can't work on both with my lungs. I would love any suggestions you have on that idea. I do have viral videos on different niche topics all on that one channel: the cake one obviously, but also videos my daughter made about Barbie, ones my son made about cleaning sticky frog toys, ones that I've added about financial literacy for kids and more recently ones on entrepreneurship and abundance mindset. So I'm not sure if it would make a huge difference if I'm focusing on search as I can easily rank those individually (most are on 1st page of Google) but if I want to grow using suggested I'm wondering if it would be better to separate them. Any thoughts? Thank-you so much for your super quick reply and for taking the time to read this. Would be pretty cool if I was one of your case studies and you told them how I just happened to see my video on your demo and reached out to you. Life's so cool. Big hugs
Thanks for this. You've actually cemented one YT aspect I realised a few nights ago: "Get more return viewers than subscribers." My content will soon focus on two of my interests that get more views than any other, plus my outro will direct people to view more videos. Cheers.
This is brilliant!!! 😃 I've been really focused on making videos that would rank great, but this just explains why some channels in my niche with not so amazing title for search, do better! I can't wait to try this approach because I feel it's not only better for the viewers, but also for the creator. Since I started watching your videos I already changed loads of my thumbnails and titles, but most importantly, my excitement for making videos went up because I feel I can be a lot more creative with your approach 💁♀️ So thank you for sharing everything that you learned, it's very much appreciated! 😊
This channel is the best for making content. I literally stopped WATCHING other channels cause they get a bit repetitive and cliche. But yours is just so honest and detailed
Watched this video for the first time when i was just starting my channel and now the second time around all of this makes sense to me .. thanks for all the valuable information … we creators appreciate it
"I'm going to keep this channel a secret" Thank you! So many people talk about RUclips "growth hacks", but they never mention that they promoted to channel to their 10k, 20k, 30k, and beyond subscribers. I'm glad you did this in a legit way.
Omg I was ready to give up but this video literally pointed out every misrak I was making. Thank you so much. You've given me new motivation, I can't wait to upload again and follow your ideas
This is the video I needed to see. My channel is a few days old and I had no clear approach as to how to really begin and get things going. I'm glad you pointed me in the right direction. Thanks.
Not having viewers while having actual good content, is very frustrating. I've tried many different methods are trying to get people to just see 1 video, but after seeing this video has opened my eyes and has given me ideas on the future for my gaming channel. Thank you.
I have been scammed many times, I cried many times because I had no shelter, food and money. But my life has changed since the day I met BOLTEXCHANGEHACK⨀COM. This man help me financially.

Extremely clutch video, thx for this. Love the small bit at the end “because RUclips is not a level playing field.” Now off to find this new channel of yours 😂
I think you're really good, and creators like you absolutely deserve to be seen and liked. But I also think, for most of us, it'll be a stroke of luck. I've seen plenty of mediocre channels do well (for whatever reason)...and I've also seen some really good RUclipsrs getting no traction at all. It does seem like lottery. 😂
Probably the most nuanced video I've come across while trying to help grow my channel. I love the concept of targeting people not algorithms because and algorithm has never subscribed to my channel😂 Thanks for taking to time and sharing these tips. I'm going to give them a try and see what happens
Simply a Brilliant video. Most videos I watch and then move onto the next video. Here I am silenced into long thought, so many things to consider and review. And so English - speaking very quickly to pack it all in within a short time. I think you could do a slower more expanded version of this. Your using another channel that did not work for a comparison on techniques deserves more comparison
This is excellent! Finally a really good explanation of how to grow! By simply catering toward your own audience. So easy to get caught up in the other things that really won’t help in the end. Thank you!!!
hi! On laurdiy's latest podcast episode she mentioned that a youtube person once told her that if you want a new audience you should make a new channel bc yt won't really recommend your 1st channel like you would expect it to. (I don't have a timestamp but I think they talked about it in the first half of the podcast)
Awesome tips!!! Was about to become discouraged on my channel but this gave me good ideas on improving my channel we are all gonna make it let’s not give up ❤️
Great stuff man. I just found your channel today and I am impressed with the content. I think you have a bit of Mark Rober in your delivery and that's a good thing (you present a problem and then walk though the critical thinking steps to get a solution - or possible solution). You got a new subscriber today and I will probably reach out to have you sponsor something I'm working on before you get too big and I can't afford you!! Cheers!
this is a perfect illustration of what it means to "work the algorithm" no one goes in depth and what that looks like. and you shared both successes, failures, plot twists AND the results of it all! i love it
Dude this seems like the most realistic video I’ve watched so far I just started a new channel myself just for fun I’m not too worried about getting monetized it would be cool to be able to put money into making better content But I really appreciate your acknowledgment to research and learning about the people and also having to learn about the equipment
Agreed. I started my new channel for fun since art is something I do in my free time anyways, but monetizing it would be nice and extra motivation to really put more time and ideas into it! I own a gym, but the pandemic crushed it and it's going under in the next month. RUclips is my next venture to see what I can do. Hoping these tips can help me grow quickly! Keep grinding everyone!

Yooo! We see that FPL videos on the homepage! they have us all hooked 😂😂
Watched this video for the first time when i was just starting my channel and now the second time around all of this makes sense to me .. thanks for all the valuable information … we creators appreciate it
Don’t give up if you’re new or struggling with your channel.
Everything will fall into places
"I'm going to keep this channel a secret"
Thank you!
So many people talk about RUclips "growth hacks", but they never mention that they promoted to channel to their 10k, 20k, 30k, and beyond subscribers.
I'm glad you did this in a legit way.
The one who is reading this you got this bro ! Dont give up and keep going good stuff is waiting for you
Super informative and encouraging!
Done Please ❤🖤
Omg I was ready to give up but this video literally pointed out every misrak I was making. Thank you so much. You've given me new motivation, I can't wait to upload again and follow your ideas
You’re almost at 1,000 subs, please don’t give up 😕
@@Keen_News thanks for the support, I'll keep going for now. Actually recorded a video today so hopefully will be back again soon 😭✌️
@@DentistSaad that’s great!!! Can’t wait to see it :)
Keep crushing it!
@@TheRealFloc thank you man. I really appreciate the support
This is the video I needed to see. My channel is a few days old and I had no clear approach as to how to really begin and get things going. I'm glad you pointed me in the right direction. Thanks.
Who else knows the spelling mistake at 4:46 'Nevr' got corrected at 4:52 . This is the real effort. Well done😀
You were in a flow state in this video.. you are truly talented! And you inspire me a lot man! Thank you so much for the high effort content!
This video may be 2 years old already, but I've rewatched this 4 times because there is so much VALUE in this short 10 min video.
_"Don't promote your videos outside of RUclips or rely on search, most of your views come from Suggested"_

To the person who is reading this, don’t give up! Keep doing it until you get Monitized!! I just got Monitized yesterday after more than a year…❤
Congratulations 🎊 and I hope you can use your influence to help me grow too
This channel (my channel) is about 4 weeks! And now it is in progress to get monetized (third step) hopefully they approve soon 😢😊
Congratulation..!wow.nice to hear that.
Congrats
@@remtluangfanai 👍
This content was gold! Thank you for sharing your progress and helping us with advice like a caring friend.
Done Please ✅❤✅❤❤
I finally applied for monetization yesterday. THANK YOU SO MUCH for your content. I binge watched your videos when I started my channel 6 weeks ago!
Wtf r u kidding me ??!!?? 7 weeks!!????
Extremely clutch video, thx for this. Love the small bit at the end “because RUclips is not a level playing field.” Now off to find this new channel of yours 😂
I think you're really good, and creators like you absolutely deserve to be seen and liked. But I also think, for most of us, it'll be a stroke of luck. I've seen plenty of mediocre channels do well (for whatever reason)...and I've also seen some really good RUclipsrs getting no traction at all. It does seem like lottery. 😂
I agree.
Very informative for new youtube content creators, hoping to get monetized soon also for all the new youtubers 😊
Probably the most nuanced video I've come across while trying to help grow my channel. I love the concept of targeting people not algorithms because and algorithm has never subscribed to my channel😂 Thanks for taking to time and sharing these tips. I'm going to give them a try and see what happens
Patience and persistence will give you a win in youtube, keep moving
As a YT newbie trying to figure all of this out, this is THE MOST poignant, helpful video I've watched so far. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Did you get monetized if not then message me i can help you
Simply a Brilliant video.
SO impressed by your channel. You are smashing it! Amazing content, you seem like a really cool guy and love love love the energy of your vids!
Congrats
It's like you're explaining Derral Eves' book in video form! Awesome work!!!
This is excellent! Finally a really good explanation of how to grow! By simply catering toward your own audience. So easy to get caught up in the other things that really won’t help in the end. Thank you!!!
Do you suggest starting a new channel, or this same strategy could be applied to an old one?
Same question
hi! On laurdiy's latest podcast episode she mentioned that a youtube person once told her that if you want a new audience you should make a new channel bc yt won't really recommend your 1st channel like you would expect it to. (I don't have a timestamp but I think they talked about it in the first half of the podcast)
@Mindless Dante I have 4.7k on my old channel it’s dead this channel is my new one I’m probably gonna regret it but hey 🤷🏽♂️
@@glitteracido that’s false
@@LiterallyDaniel ya that’s not really how the algorithm works at all, but ok
This was incredibly insightful, thanks mate!
Such great tips! I can’t wait to implement these tips. I can’t wait to continue to grow my community and create awesome content!
Cheers!
Great tips! Thanks for this helpful video.
AMAZING!! Loved the approach to this. Even in other channels/ marketing strategies, focusing on the people is almost always a better approach
this is a perfect illustration of what it means to "work the algorithm" no one goes in depth and what that looks like. and you shared both successes, failures, plot twists AND the results of it all! i love it
I agree.
Well done!!!
This is helpful bt interesting at the same time but as a new RUclipsr I'm hopeful and excited Abt the prospect of being monetize
I'm the same as you guys. I don't know the youtube strategy to get more viewers, but I like sharing videos I've made for fun.
I am shocked to hear Disclosure as your background track lol. Thanks for the edutainment
