I think the Mummy series is the best example of how super-powerful beings in movies NEVER use their powers to just one-shot people, and just spend all their time tossing them back and forth until they find a way to escape or fight back. Imhotep could probably punch a hole through you, snap your neck, or absorb your life essence. But what does he do? Throw people a couple feet.
You can put this on arrogence, just to show how stronger than you he is before backfiring horribly.
@@florians9949 I mean beings that powerful aren't really arrogant though are they? They wouldn't waste the time proving how powerful they are. The emperor didn't waste time, he just stabbed the witch and killed her lover.
Arrogance works if the villain has been portrayed as arrogant. Super powerful beings can be given very human flaws to as weaknesses but i dont think this franchise ever did that. Its very cheesy trilogy, fun to watch tho.
Watch 4:23 the flame was thrown to kill him. Maybe the heroes are lucky enough. In mummy 2 heroine was killed but was resurrected. Don't ignore the facts💕
It's because killing people was never his main intention. Imhotep just wants to ressurect his love and the protagonists are a nuisance as far as he is concerned.

The Yeti were always the show-stealers for this movie. I didn't really enjoy the movie as a whole, but there were nuggets of gold like these guys and Brendan Fraser as a whole that made it worth watching

Despite the 2 previous movies were better, this one was still OK for me. From 6:54 to 7:02 ... OMG.. that was an epic run-for-your-life scene! From 5:58 to 6:04, you can see that´s not just an avalanche... is half mountain falling right on you!! Amazing performance by John Hannah btw.
