The Xenomorphs would be nigh unstoppable: they could make babies from the White Spikes AND the Mimics, and it would be absolute chaos, with the Xenos triumphing, cause now THEY, like the Mimics, can reverse time

These things remind me of mantid in warcraft with a central queen that possibly births them all, a way to communicate via sound waves, and a link to a specific matieral

Basically, the guards kept any and all threats from reaching the Queen as the workers performed their commands to attack, search, and feed. The Queen, being the brain, issued the commands to her workers and guards. But when she died, everyone else just shut down. Because if there was no brain to give the commands, what would give the workers and guards directions.
Hive mind that worked like a sophisticated rc car they killed the controller so while the cars still had full battery they have no signal to tell them to move
The way they dealt with the Queen was so stupid and simple... its how we'd deal with it in real life but because this is a movie its so anti-climatic, they blew a bomb and it killed her making all the others stop. People would probaly expect the bomb to not kill her but just weaken her enough for the minions to stop, thats how it usualy goes in movies.

Yeah. My take home from this film was: predictable story, but cool monsters and fight scenes.
