I never really thought about it when I first saw the movie The only time I noticed that it's a different actress is when it's brought to my attention. The movie to me is too entertaining and too much of a blast for me to be fixated on that. My headcanon tells me Evie looks different because this is how she aged.

I’m interested to know how they molded the emperor into a completely different position than the one he froze in. Did they carefully melt him down into soul-infused molten metal and recast him riding a chariot?
It’s a bit of a funny image to me because they would have to be careful to use every last drop, otherwise he’d be missing bits of himself when he’s revived.

Probably because the Egyptian mummies were presented more as supernatural zombies while this one emphasizes magic, with the "mummy" himself looking like a normal person most of the time, or just a living statue. They could have played that up though.

They need to make the Mummy 4 as the last sequel that takes place 4 years after the the third. They also need to bring back Rachel Weiez as Evie.
The first 2 movies are really the best Mummy themed movies of all time. I really wish that they didnt wait 7 years to make the 3rd one. And also I wish they just stayed with the Egyptian Mummy theme. Id love to see a 4th movie and have them bring back the original villain Imohtep and his girl Meela. Maybe they ressurect a new evil creature to control something like the Scorpion King but different. I think that would be a cool 4th movie.

Oh heres a thought, So Imohtep and Meela have a daughter and her reincarnation wants to bring back her former life's parents. So she tricks Rick and Evies son into helping her because they are dating. Sounds like a cool set up for an adventure with all the original characters.

I feel that Yang must have known about the emperor thing from somebody perhaps a cult that reveres him and must have got the connections from said cult
