They really amped up the horror aspect in the remake. The Ganados feel more uncanny, no longer having those zombie-like moans, they just march in silence to the church with an almost bliss-like expression, And Leon's line in the end lacks that scoff, doesn't feel genuinely cocky but more like he's trying to lighten up the mood due to how shocked and confused he is.
In the original it seemed like the villagers simply didn't notice Leon, but in the remake they made it more unnatural by having them stop in the middle of gameplay and outright ignoring him to go to church
the remake is much more realistic. After the bell rang the villagers are like in hypnotized state like somethings controlling them. The Og is like nothing happened its so unnatural. Take ur Nostalgia Goggles off u might see better. Lol.
I'm gonna miss cocky action hero Leon, but the demo was really good. Just hate how the knives still break despite the description in the inventory says that Leon's been using that knife since Raccoon City.
I recommend playing the demo more because my first playthrough Leon wasn't talking that much. But I noticed when I played it again and was taking no damage because I got comfortable with the parry/controls Leon started saying cocky lines during gameplay like a sarcastic "Sorry". So I think they actually tie his cocky attitude to how well you're playing which is a fun decision.
It gives you a parry system to master to keep you on your toes. To me it's actually brilliant. I know it seems frustrating now but the feeling of accomplishment when you're parrying multiple attacks will be so satisfying.
The remake are better in regard of making Leon confused on why the villagers that attacking him earlier suddenly stopped moving, once the bell has been ringing lol.
I'd say yes it was a nice addition but the original will still remain the best imo, We know that Leon was just as confused as the newest one we just didn't had the extra animation back then. We were just hoping to hear the line afterall 😂

@ashy I don't actually think that it's going with more horror, the chainsaw section alone is way more action oriented than original, the kicks are way more powerful, the knife has parry, kills and what not.
