Country Music just is not the same without Ray Stevens.
Lord have mercy. I love listening to Ray Steven’ , it reminds me of driving around town and across country with my dad. We would listen to Ray. Jerry Reed, Marty Robins and so many others. When I was 13 or 14 I went with daddy across country in the 18 Wheeler one summer. We were only supposed be gone for a week but ended up 3 weeks. It was so nice to spend time together with my dad and he really made it special as he taught me how to drive an 18 wheeler. We got laid over in a AWESOME PLACE (town) named GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, for about a week. We were picking up a load of beef to deliver to Florida. But they had a huge drug bust happen at the factory right after we dropped the trailer off and now was a waiting game so to speak. Had we not dropped off the trailer for them to fill we could have gotten something else to haul. But they wouldn’t let us just get the trailer and we were at the hand of the Government and the DEA and other government agencies. But the people up there were just so AWESOME.
Can’t ever go wrong with this Elvis Classic!
Ray Stevens is a MUSIC MACHINE....and an American Treasure. This guy just had a birthday in January...and who would believe he's 85 years old?

It's always a blessing when they allow a lead in, or lead out piece of history to go along with a song, like this one. 🤔😇🙏🎯
