I love Gary - what a voice!! My niece, who lives in Ireland, turned 21 last year. She wanted to go to New York instead of having a party. Much to my surprise (because she is so young) on her list of wants was to go to the Happy Together concert while there and hear Gary, plus all of the other performers of course. I was thrilled that she could experience and appreciate real talent like that.
Mr. Puckett, of all the singers from the 60s you are the one that I wanted to sound like the. My family vacationed in New Hampshire every summer and there was a little greasy spoon restaurant that we would have breakfast. They had the jukeboxes in every booth and the song that I played was young girl. And I would go off by myself where no one could hear me I thought anyhow anyhow)and sing it to the top of my lungs just like you did. And for the next 40 years I did the same thing unfortunately none of the bands that I was in had the chops to do a union gap song but I still sing you as strong as I can but I don't get there anymore and now that I have the chops my voice don't go there any more .Anyway you were blessed with the greatest pipes and you are and will always be an inspiration to a guy who just wanted to sing a love song to a girl. God bless you and thanks for everything. Cheers
Gary, In the 60s, myself along with a few friends, would go sing on the boardwalk. We'd do many of your tunes. We loved you and your songs. So happy to hear you giving God the glory. I'm sure a good reason for your health and success. God bless!
This was nice, thank you. Gary has always seemed like such a very kind man and so talented with a beautiful voice. Thank you Gary. You’ve brought such joy to so many with your beautiful music throughout the years. God Bless.🤗
What a great show at the "Coral Springs" theater, I was 5 yrs old and living in Ecuador when you were singing "Young girl", it's amazing that your music was known in South America. Thank you for the great memories 😊
I just watched The Nashville Now program from 1984 where Gary Meets Jim Glaser for the first time 17 years after The Union Gap first recorded it Gary’s first song August with The Wrecking Crew Woman, Woman it took about 6 months to get airplay but when it finally did Gar Puckett s career took off like a rocket !! 6 consecutive gold records. At age 81 Gary Puckett shows no sign of slowing down. Oddly enough my favorite songs by GP and The Union Gap were all co- written by Gary. Could I, The Beggar, And my All- time favorite A Simple Man. Just watched Gary on The Andy Williams Show. Gary sang the Anthony Newley song “ Who Can I Turn to”? The Union Gap revvved up the tempo and played it like Brazil 66 would have done it. Sadly their version was never released!!After Gary sang Woman,Woman on Nashville Now1984 he met Jim Glaser and Gary did acoustic versions of Young Girl,Lady Willpower ,Over You and sang a verse a duet of Woman, Woman with Jim Glaser,at the request of Ralph Emery. Great stuff!!!
Thanks for the wonderful songs that will live forever. I was fortunate to see you back in the 90’s when in my 30’s. I’ve learned a lot since then. Watched Jim Glaser sing Woman Woman when he was 73. I understood his contribution to your career and appreciated it more. I wish you many more successful cruises and god bless you and the Union Gap for contributing to my musical education.
I saw him and the Gap in a small bar outside McGuire AFB in 1968, just the band playing, no horns, no orchestration, no backup singers and they were great. Very tight band,
I'm 67 and remember you from when I was a kid. I've had a lot of shots, operations & joint replacements. Still exercising tho. You look Great! Keep up the good work 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
watched your music videos from the early 70 ‘s last night, you were breathtakingly handsome and a voice that was truly unique and transending back in time. I will always love you!,,
I had the chance to see both Gary Puckett and The Grass Roots some years ago when they performed together in San Juan, PR. There I met Rob Grill, a great guy, who signed my Grass Roots double CD. Thanks for posting.
When I was 17 (now 70) my friends girl friend went on a trip got in accident local paper published her age (she lied 3 years younger) he decided not to give the album he had bought her….it was young girl.
Gary , Jesus is the Savior and the lover of our souls. He died on the cross for us. He really loves, I know for myself that it's true. I pray that you would receive Jesus as your savior. Peter.
I've listened to all of the Union Gap's songs - many times over, from when they first began. That's the first time I've heard Gary actually speaking; apart from saying a few words when he was on stage...Ed Sullivan, for example. What a treat! I always suspected that he had a good heart.
Gary, I'm approaching 70..When I was young and you were banging out the hits, you were my favorite.....Bravo Gary!..Bravo!

Wow so glad to see you
Your a true hall of famer !
Gary, you are an icon. Great to see you looking so good! However, that would have sounded way better with an acoustic. 😎👍🏼👍🏼
You had a great group. I remember seeing you guys in Ashland Oregon in the late 60s. The show was great!
I met him about 15 years ago and got his autograph.
An incredible humble star.
A jewel!!
well done Garry you were probaly one of the first coming through on my trannie all those years ago as young lad thanks
How does this man still have so much sex appeal?
Not 8 million watching Ed Sullivan. 80 million
Met you in dartford what a friendly person you are and a great singer
Nice shirt.
Had a ticket to GP+UG at Pope John High School in Sparta, NJ circa ‘68 but had mono and couldn’t go.
Yes Gary. I am a few years younger with the mind of a 21 year old, that failed to keep up with my aging body.
Gary's the best! 😉
When I was 17 (now 70) my friends girl friend went on a trip got in accident local paper published her age (she lied 3 years younger) he decided not to give the album he had bought her….it was young girl.
I am left handed too
Why Gary Why ?

Assume
Sounds like a song I've Been A
Where's the Union Gap?
Sounds like a song "I've Been A"
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
To you, maybe. But when you are a Nonagenarian like me, he's looking mighty fine (and can sing too)!
This man can sing. Unlike the trash you listen to that’s computer generated and sounds like chalk screeching on a chalkboard aka Beyoncé
