After 60 years of vocals, Gary's voice came down a notch, but who cares, the man's a legend.
Gary was so great back in his prime, that coming down a notch isn't a bad thing at all. Loved hearing this song again. When we had the band in grade school and high school, we played Young Girl and everyone just loved it. Not sure how great we were, but at least it went over big at our gigs.
What a handsome man even at his age.he has aged so gracefully such powerful voice too.oh I could fall in love with such a man like Gary
He's like fine wine
He reminds me somehow of Boz Scaggs - tall, lanky, beautiful silver fox!
I’m with you! ❤
yea but would have been nice if he combed his hair.@@jenpeterson3712
If your 91 of course
He is sooo gorgeous even at 77!
Isn’t he just?? Oh my….he was definitely a hot looker in the 60’s…yummy lol ❤
GARY PUCKETT!!!!! STILL ONE OF THE HANDSOMEST GENTLEMEN AND GREATEST SINGERS ON THE PLANET!!! I'M 59 AND HE BROKE MY HEART WITH HIS SONGS BACK IN THE 70'S!!!!!
Dizzy Lizzy I felt the same way!! Still playing him today I can sing every song word for word.. Love him and group so much!! iam 63❤️
Im 75 and still a big fan.
For a man of Gary's years he looks and sounds amazing. God bless you Gary Puckett you are loved.
This song has to rank among the top 10 songs ever written about a lost love.
One of the greatest male vocalist ever in my honest opinion. And an absolute and complete gentleman in real life. Had the pleasure of meeting him and speaking with him extensively twice. A wonderful man.
AMEN TO THAT !
The only one who could beat him was Steve Perry of JOURNEY 👍🤘🎸♥️
I have heard time and time again , Gary is one hell of a nice guy 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I met him and his brother in Phoenix Arizona. He was performing at the Golden Rock Show Lounge. They stayed at my motel where I worked for a week. They got me free tickets. Once with my future ex wife. Her reaction should have been a warning sign. Later I sang Young Girl in a karaoke bar on a cruise to Ensenada and made a friend for life. Great memories. I can't sing. But I try to sing along. Awesome voice. People don't understand these days.
still has it. man
Im from Brazil, and i know Gary and your music, but i was born in 80 years...I have this music in cd.
One of the best vocalists ever recorded.
He truly does look and sound amazing. I can't believe his mother is still alive at 98. Just amazing.
Looks great here he's about 77, great guy he is, Over you was one of my favourites in early 70s.
WOW, Gary looks amazing! ❤️

He’s still got it in the coolness dept. I loved him then and i love him now. 💜
His voice has deepened and gotten richer, like Elton John’s and Joni Mitchell’s. Different, but still so beautiful.
I love Gary always will such a beautiful singer what a handsome man his band is great love them all. I am almost 80 and I adore him

I remember as a boy, I would go to bed with my transistor radio under my pillow. I would listen to WLS Chicago. Young Girl or Lady Willpower would come on and I would always wake up to listen. My favorite singer back in the day.
Milwaukee.. WOKY on the transistor radio hid under my bed pillow!!
That's really neat how you would wake up
JTB I listened to the same station in the same years. Do you recall Dick Biondi? The crazy funny DJ that was on late nights. Omg such memories. The music. It was so so much better than now. Gary Puckett was my ultimate favorite. He still is. He's gorgeous and thing that makes me the happiest is that he's humble. Not arrogant and full of himself. His smile and dimples still bring me to me mush.
Ditto
Same here. Pink transistor radio under pillow listening to WLS. Weren’t we lucky?
Always gracious, kind, patient when meeting/greeting fans after his shows. Fabulous talent and voice! The best part is how he honors our veterans, servicemen and women during each show. Such compassion for those who've served and are serving. Thank you, Gary, for being part of the soundtrack of our lives!
still such a strong voice...and so cool:)
I grew up with Garry Puckett back in the 1960's and I got to sing with him in 2001 in front of about three thousand people what a thrill ♥️👍🤘🎸♥️
GREAT VOICE. He sounded like he had formal training.
Either way he moved me to tears with OVER YOU,
Very youthful at 77.
what a handsome man he is and what a beautiful voice he has
Gary's kept himself up pretty damned well!! He's 77!!
He looks great!
Exactly 💯
He looks amazing!!
thebronzetoo He’s Hot!😍
Love gary pucket 60s 2020 indiana brookville
Incredible vocalist, and the nicest darn guy you'll ever meet! Catch a concert in 2020!
Not a good year for wanting to go out and about... perhaps later this year!
He certainly can still perform, good to see he's still making music.
Over you is my absolute favorite song that Gary sang. It takes me back to the times I spent with my first love. Our relationship didn't work out but I loved her so much and I will never forget her even though it was forty eight years ago.
God bless you Gary for still having your mom around. What a beautiful voice you were blessed with. I remember your music from a very young age - under 10. It always bring back memories of my childhood. Interestingly enough, now I over 60 years old, I am catching up with your music to my heart’s content on you tube.

Gary Puckett looks like he's looked after himself, bare in mind he's 77 with at least 60 years worth of singing behind him
He's 77 now in May of 2020. There is no date that I can find when this was recorded, but it is a few years ago. So he is not 77 in this clip but quite a few years younger. Still great though!
That brought a tear . I remember riding in the back of my Dad’s car and that would come on the radio…
What a GREAT AUDIENCE to sing so well!!!
And of course Gary is GREAT!!!
Thanks Ray Stevens!
There is no way that Gary is 77! He looks absolutely incredible - and damn sexy too!
Yes indeed we never do forget. We never really, really, really forget our first loves.
All the best and thanks to Gary Puckett.

Wow! Would love to see him sometime. He seems like such a nice, sincere man. Not many of the great musicians of the 60’s or 70’s look as good or sound as good as he still does! These songs bring back so many wonderful long summer day memories.
❤always love you Gary and guys! Those old great songs never get old to me! They are so great and your classic soun!
The 3rd interview I have seen of him , he just comes through as a genuinely nice person , respectful, a guy you’d like to have a beer with. And what a great singer...
Of all his hits, this one's my favorite. The song was so well written, and Gary delivers. He "felt" this song man. I saw him in 1986 on the Monkees, Grass Roots, Herman's Hermits tour featuring Gary. Like most people, I was there to see the Monkees, but nobody was shutting up enough during Gary's set. Everyone was itchy to see the Monkees, and Gary had the unfortunate spot of the night to follow the Grass Roots - who were sucking the life out of the arena, they were so bad. Gary had his job cut out for him, having to rev up the crowd again.
He is just wonderful, Gary had that 'voice' and lovely to see him here looking great. Ray too, I loved his 'Misty' around 1976.
That made me so happy to see him still alive and performing.
I had tears in my eyes knowing he was still alive Iam a
Big cry baby and loved this group back in the day and still playing my cds in 2021… what a legend in my eyes ❤️
Still alive? Come on, hes not that old! In his early 70's...
@@garychambers5850 nope not that old, but, a lot of them didn’t make it that long. Rob Grill of the Grass Roots is one example.
He’s so good for his age loved him when growing up in the 60s still do
Oh my gosh once the lyrics he sang got through to my silly little 15 year old brain, I was his forever.--which means I still belong to him.
He's good no matter what age.
Love him, saw him one time in person at Racinorama performance, love all his songs , memories Woman Woman ,Young girl and Over you. At 77 still looking younger.
He's still the great singer Gary Puckett !!
Met him once one of my favorites. Fantastic!
Amazing an a Incredible voice, just brought a smile to my face after seven months of dealing with the Coronavirus and Protests. Dude, you still got it! September 2020 ✌
Your music was so inspiring for so many. Grateful in Chicago.
What pleasant memories when hearing this song, I am transported to my adolescence, a great singer Gary Pucket
One of my two favorite voices from my youth. I never tire of his songs, and I delight for him, his continued success.
Love his music and a fine looking gentleman.
Wow! Hav always loved Gary's awesome voice..& he looks & sounds so great for 77 yrs old! So wonderful that he's still performing! 🙂🙂💕💕
A GREAT VOICE!

Gary's still GREAT. Thanks!
Ray and Gary, real talent! Thanks
Just a live-in legend love his voice so many memories 1968.
What a great guy..what a great song 🌞
The wife and I would go to his shows in Vegas-- terrific POWERFULL VOICE-- and what a surprise is they would encourage and have the audience join in-- absolutely AWESOME experience !
Hi voice has obviously not retained its original power and tone, but I agree with others that in his prime, his was one of the greats and he deserves to be ranked with David Clayton-Thomas, the superb Jay Black, and a raft of other contemporaries - Charles, Garfunkel, Humperdink, Jones, Orbison, Campbell, Ben E. King, to name a few. I find it sad that once we leave the 60's and 70's, remarkable male voices seem to be few. Thankfully, their work is here to stay.
A beautiful and talented a very amazing man. A wonderful group. Still love you. Always will
As a native of San Diego I always wondered how Gary got from Yakima to San Diego now I know he still sounds great moves well for a man nearing 80. My favorite union gap songs were all written or co written by Gary a simple man could I. And the beggar at a time when most of Gary’s contemporaries are retired or in forest lawn Gary is truly a troubadour
I love Gary Puckett and the Union Gsp Band
Loved his voice since I was 8 years old... more than 50 years ago!
One of my all time tear jerking songs, "getting over you".
I always liked the paradoxical name of the group----I mean, you know?
Nice to see Gary is still bringing it. I've seen him at least a dozen times in concert over the years and met him three times, great conversations, just a true gentleman. I wish him all the best, he is a great person and singer.
Very underrated but remained one of my favorite singers ever, along with The Vogues in the late 60s. Been doing his songs for years, would have loved to meet Gary.
Vogues are one of May favorite groups along with Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, and some great music they created.
I LOVE GARY PUCKETT!!!! HIS VOICE IS JUST INCREDIBLE!!!!! ♥️💋♥️💋♥️💋
The golden voice. Saw him in Bowman ND years ago. Great to hear he still has it!
The voice is still the same....Love Gary Puckett

No ha perdido su atractivo. Desde que era joven escuchaba su música que fue un éxito aquí en mi país Costa Rica.
Precioso canta
Incredible vocalist. Studied that voice a lot!
Got to go into Ray's recording studio somewhere around 1973 and was blown out by the sound of his MCI and JBL equipment. Loved his "Misty." Saw Gary Puckett and the Union Gap in Jacksonville, Florida, and was blown away by the band and his voice. They wore those Union army uniforms in a southern city; at one point Gary took off his jacket to reveal a US flag shirt, and the entire place went wild.
GARY, I LISTEN TO YOUR SONGS EVERY DAY, THEY ARE TIMELESS!
I loved every single song and absolutely loved watching him here singing Over You . Gary You are the best in my book and always will be :)
One of their many great songs, this one is my favorite, and is the reason i started learning piano. I *still* play this song, and still love it.
I love Gary, she’s a amazing human being ! 🙏💙
Over you brings back a lot of memories of growing up in the 60's.
Ty for sticking to music and sharing your gift Gary! Great decision!
God Bless you Gary and Happy Birthday
He is sooo handsome I could love a man like him easily
He was one of musics' great voices and had it not been for him and others like wonderful tenors like Dennis Yost of Classics IV I don't feel that our growing up years would have been anywhere as delightful and important as they were. 1968 through 1973 were wonderful years in music. I'll never forget them.
Beautiful voice.
One of the purist vocalists I put him a category with Nat King Cole
Love that song... love that man's voice..❤❤❤ love Ray Stevens.Steven's.. great memories...
I saw him play in a small town in the South early 70s (way to go chamber of commerce!) and he was great.
Wonderful, great singer!! One of my most favorites!!!
Amazing singer back in the 60,s and still today great performer Simply Amazing!!!
Consummate performer. A national treasure
Such a amazing artist and voice.
Saw Gary Puckett and The Union Gap live years ago, he was amazing
Still has a gorgeous voice and I’d such a handsome gentleman ❤
I had such a big crush on him . Still do ! He’s gorgeous!
Gary still sings Great! Nice Guy too!
Omg he looks incredible
Geez! Gary is completely amazing!
I remember his voice coming over my GE clock radio back in 68
One of the finest voices in that era
Nothing better than 'oldies' music. Do not love the music of 'today'. I like some songs, but most is just yelling, synthesizing, etc.
I've been to Gary Puckett fan for many years but listening to this I must admit that Gary Puckett has lost it he is still a pleasure to listen to but getting up there in age you can't compare the Gary Puckett to the 1960s and 70s❤❤❤❤❤❤
