Possibly better than 1968, such a great summer 69 tune
Someone tell Gary he's about to turn 80, because he's obviously forgotten his age. Incredible performance!
Still a great singer, of course can't do what he did years ago, but damn better than people today. Great days, great music.
He definitely did not get the memo regarding his age. Love this man’s voice!
Age is just a number!
Now I'm almost 62,I was then a small boy when I first heard it on our transistor radio ,wow what a chance in our lives now enjoying it almost seeing live my idol singing it,tnx Mr g pucket from a farmer here in the Philippines ❤❤
Gary Puckett & The Union Gap- April 3, 1969, my very first concert. I even got an autograph 💘 He is still amongst my favorite top three artists.

Love Gary Puckett and the Union Gap. The man is till amazing live. So an honour to meet him a couple of years ago - such a gentleman. And the band were lovely to interact with too. A great show

❤️I love this song !!!!
Still got the voice outstanding
Even though he doesn't have the high notes anymore he is still extremely good
Yes he has them. At the beginning of the song he was ´cold´
@@marcelobaez6115 He is singing the song in a lower key than he did in 1968. it's obvious, even to an ear untrained in music.
So cool yet, brings back memories of 1996 at the Mn state fair!! Way to go Gary🌸
Happy 79th. Sound older but still good.

💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Hi how are you doing!
Domage qu'il ne peux pas venir à Montréal
those backing singers are pretty hot!
😎👍
He looks like a singing Dustin Hoffman
How'd you edit out all those flying hotel room key rings being thrown at him?
That has got to be the world's "most sensitive" mic!!!
In this age of hyper sensitivity about "inappropriate" relationships, and Chris Hansen on the prowl in a much DIFFERENT sense, Im surprised this song is dared to be PLAYED never mind actually sung. Still, I suppose it's much safer than Ozzy Osbourne's "Mr Tinkertrain" or even Billy Idols "Rock The Cradle of Love" or even "Thank Heaven For Little Girls".
At least it's not done in vulgar language like nowadays!!
And today, this song would be considered pedophelia
I wish he would sing it Normal .....this version is over done
That's what the original is for.
As you age you gotta change it up.
never heard of him
Wow...you have missed out on amazing man
I first heard of him in the mid 1990s when I was still a teenager and a year or two after high school graduation. My brother, who is 6 years younger than I am, came across an Oldies radio station while we were going somewhere in the car. This song and "Lady Willpower" were the two songs from Gary Puckett and The Union Gap (the official name of the band) that the Oldies radio station played a lot. The group was massively popular for a stretch of nearly 3 years, 1967-1970, before the band dissolved as most of them did at the turn of the decade. He and his band had 7 pop hits in that 3 year time period.
You've got to be kidding! Surely you've heard the song before.
@@jessiem276 NOPE
Just curious as to why you took the time to tell everyone of your ignorance?
These days he would end up in court for such a song. It's actually disgusting and predatory.
It’s sad to see and hear the marked difference in the original and his performance now…his looks haven’t changed that much, but his vocal delivery is way off…
Geez He's 50 years older now. Do you sing the same as you did 50 years ago 😂?
