Uh, I saw Metalilca on their Black Album Tour at the LA Forum in Jan 1992, and they did play Orion that night.
They played Ride The Lightning in 1992 in part (main riff and spider chord)

they said people got tired of long proggy tracks like the ones on justice but the black album tours had 20 minute seek and destroys and 10 minute guitar bass and drum solos that no one really asked for

@@mdnblues Even at his peak, Lars struggled to replicate AJFA. They literally had to splice multiple separate drum tracks together JUST for the recording of the album. AKA, he couldn’t even perform AJFA at the time of its recording.

Just for the record, they _did_ play Eye of the Beholder 125 times in the Damaged Justice tour, but they stopped fairly quickly.

They finished the show with Enter Sandman at MetLife Stadium this weekend and it was easily the sickest part of the show. They energy was unmatched during that song. I don’t understand the hate really, I didn’t think Metallica fans were so bougie. If you can’t have fun listening to Enter Sandman, you’re pretty much hopeless in life.

He was actually abused in the band I saw and heard. You can tell by his body language and from what I know about psychological abuse and the personalities, I know he was abused. Imagine the excitement when he wins a contest to be playing with his favorite band of all time, the feeling of excitement but also of not being worthy or good enough, he is DRIVEN to worship them just by that senecio alone, nevermind Jason's gentle personality, then this coupled with drive to be good enough and the soaring enormous egos of the other band members...who, in the way they decided to pick a fan just shows the Intent with the power over the new band member not to mention how they'll never have to pay him as much. I hope they all have realized what jerks they were to him. Just saying.
