I have the same exact setup as you with the 40 the only diff is that my hands are smaller so with that extension it’s PERFECT for me. It’s crazy how you can have all the power in such a lil ass package I love it💪
Hell man I think your piece looks much more attractive all polished like that. Nice job! Here in Cali you can't get Glocks past gen 3 and also we can buy the XD. I'm a bigger guy and I handled the full size XD and it fit my bigger hands like a glove where as the gen 3 Glock has finger grooves that don't agree with my fingers. The grip safety makes the XD safer for appendix carry. I like to keep my piece to the front for added control. I keep a little S&W 638 with laser grip on weak side in pocket so I can draw from either side in an emergency. I want the full size XD in . 45 acp for a bedstand piece.
If you going for he DX - normally they have the gear up special which you get a carrying case and extra mags. That's how I got both of my XD (9mm and 40 mm)

How hard was it to strip the finish on the xd an polish it? What sanding/polishing method did you go with, vinegar etc?
Glock 26 27 and the 30 all are perfect firearms in fact any Glock is better than any other handgun in my opinion
the glock 27 vs the xd sub compact is a great comparison instead of the shitty glock 23 vs .40 sub comparison its no where near the same
