Wait, what do you mean poisonous bugs? There is bugs in MC?
Impactful. That’s the keyword. The Nether update was impactful and caves and cliffs was “supposed” to be, although the staggered release really hurt the impact. Mojang could work on even a single feature, and as long as it changes and improves the game in a way that feels impactful, the community would rejoice. The state of the game isn’t as healthy as it once was, after all, so people want to feel like it’s improving.
the crafter is pretty impactful
Minecraft 1.21 *is* impactful. Crafters, the copper bulbs and even the trial chambers will change how the game is played

I'm sorry but 1.13, 1.14, 1.16 and 1.18 were some of the most important minecraft update, if not the most important. I don't see how 1.19 or 1.20 is any worse than 1.10 or 1.12, where the game really stagnated.
I understand why they did what they did for Caves and Cliffs, but it would've been so much better if they delayed the entire update until it was ready.

Honestly they could’ve just added fireflies and make the frogs NOT eat them? Ik a 2 pixeled mob isn’t a big deal but it would still be useful to see in the dark and for builders.
Yeah… well I doubt they would glow, but Minecraft is quite keen on adding entirely useless mobs (sniffer, goats, other mob vote recommendations like the moobloom) so I don’t see why the wouldn’t add it at all.
It would be so easy to add and you’re right, frogs could just not eat them.
They would only glow like the glow squid or drowned, vanilla minecraft simply cant support moving light sources, only way around it is PC modding and the process is too much for phones or most Bedock devices to handle and they want to bring Java edition into the fold...

To be clear, people have been saying "This is THE END of Minecraft!!!1!1!!!" since forever. Even if Mojang does screw this up it would be very difficult to put the game in the ground indefinitely.
Even still, Minecraft SMPs are getting less popular, and more heavily edited, heavily scripted 5-minute videos for 4 year old kids, and Minecraft streams are not what they used to be. The community isn't the same, and it feels smaller than ever before, because of how little impactful creators there are right now.
@@googol7382about the creators in my opinion the problom with them is dream smp and Tecnoblade. The dream smp was probably the biggest smp in minecraft ever, maybe lifesteal could compare but otherwise it was the biggest thing ever. Then Tecnoblade died.. and along with his death the dream smp was not the same and was shut down. The BIGGEST SMP AND THE BIGGEST RUclipsR BOTH DIED What do you think the comunity will do..
Minecraft won’t die with a bang but a whisper and we are already seeing that with how popular the game is now compared to the previous decade. The point is that if they do not deliver a good update this time then they may lose all momentum to jumpstart back to a golden age again.
@@googol7382 yeah hermitcraft feels like probably the only SMP left which has mostly natural interactions, the videos feel like they're not made for kids. since dream and those types of mcyt came along most mc content is just youtube kids level trash
Even if the vanilla game dies, the modding community is just so huge that it would singlehandly keep the game alive
I still wish there would be an end update. There are very few reasons to go to the end after beating the dragon, and I feel like floating islands above the void have so much potential
I think they're waiting for the right time to make that update. Probably when they inevitably scratch another dark age and need one more boost to get back on track.
@@glanni and by "right time" I assume u mean it's gonna take a LONG time to come up with an end update. Mojang already has a reputation of delaying their new update features.

I don't know if it's just me but in my opinion, there must be an update to The End somewhere! Like to think about going to the End Cities only to get Shulker boxes and Elytras, it feels like there's so much to be out there missing.
I doubt Minecraft will ever really die, with a devoted fan base and mods getting released and updated every so often I don’t think we will ever see Minecraft die.

the temperature would be instantly put to 0 if we either got a new dimention or an ACTUAL end update.
Honestly? I’d just like to see a complete revamp of older, existing structures! The juxtaposition between the new, stylish structures and old favourites like the stronghold, jungle temple and desert well are painfully easy to see. An update like this would be simple to do and receive overwhelming praise from the community at large!
it would be so cool to see new temples filled with traps and pitfalls with spikes and not just the basic arrow and tripwire trap.
The saddest thing about this though is that we could already have this if mojang just actually got rid of the ‘No mod rule’. There’s a RUclipsr whose entire channel is dedicated to completely reworking structures like the temples and dungeons yet they don’t want to bite the bullet and just hire somebody like that.

Oops, they did it again. Copper bulbs were too cool and useful, so they decided to nerf them for no reason in the current snapshot. I hope this comment ages poorly and they bring back its original functionality, but seriously. Mojang has got to stop pulling stuff like this.
All redstoners, myself included, are already pissed off about this change. Even crafters got "fixed" too. Mojang always has to ruin unique and new blocks and items, smh...
I just wanted to comment this. I'm not a redstoner but the people that are were very excited about crafter and copper bulbs. Why would you ruin this? They're not even using the copper aging mechanics, copper bulbs had a one tick delay now they changed it to be instant. They could easily make it so that the four stages have different tick delays: instant, one tick, two tick, three tick.
@@satana8157 well, us redstoners were happy that copper bulbs had a unique tick delay that was different from other redstone components. Unlike others, copper bulbs have a tick delay of 1 game tick, which allowed Redstoners to create unique contraptions like improved wave machines.

@@reddddy To be fair, it would've been forgotten just as quickly. I highly doubt it would've dropped anything worthwile by the time you encountered it.
Yeah, there is a lot more they could have done with the prehistoric plants, especially given the evidently more fantastical nature of that old ecosystem giving a good reason to have some actual functionality behind them.
Still, we now do have a precident for the ancient world being revivable by the players in the game, so that when the devs eventually come back around to expanding on all the underdeveloped ideas of the past several years, we may find much more use in the archeology system than just potentially lost materials, crafting recipes and technologies. That's the main reason I voted for it anyways, playing a long game where I may have thought a bit too far ahead to be really all that reasonable.
I genuinely can't imagine Sniffer ever being added to the game without the vote. So I'm glad it won.
One thing I've noticed is that _every update_ after the Nether Update so far has been trying to pick up the pieces that Caves and Cliffs left behind. 1.17 added the blocks and mobs, 1.18 added the new terrain and caves, 1.19 added the warden and deep dark finally, and 1.20 gave us archaeology, and 1.21 is expanding on Copper and Tuff to give them more uses. Covid really screwed everyone over hard, and they're still slowly trying to recover from it.
from what I seen idk if they will actually ever add the bundles considering they had issues with it. And at the end of the day, I don't care, unlike the community I'm not that demanding. 1.20 is far from being a bad update imo :)
@@LucBlocker It's a pretty weird Opinion from me, but as bundles are basically a toggle like the starter chest, i just consider bundles to be part of the full game already, even if it's not official.
@@LucBlocker Yeah 1.20 was cool imo. Wish they had done a _little_ more with the actual archaeology using the brush, and the Sniffer would have greatly benefited from a few more ancient plants, but I don't know why people didn't like it.
Bundles are too fundamentally flawed in design to really work, they ultimately just complicate inventory management even more. What we really need is just simple extra inventory space, no gimmicks.
@@lasercraft32 Yea I do have to admit that only TWO plants is a bit lame, idk what the reason behind this decision was considering there was a 3rd one that got scrapped for some reason. Archeology is cool enough imo, I think it just needs to be more rewarding, rn I only see it being useful for getting decorated pots

I feel if they introduced the copper golem in this update the community would be on board, it's the perfect update for a copper golem
Instead they did another mob vote, because mojang is losing the capability of making cohesive updates.
But they could add the copper golem AND the armadillo, proving that mobs that didn't win in the past can still be added eventually.
i'm quite certain that they won't. The idea for the copper golem was 'a mob that presses buttons'. It didn't get chosen and the idea was thrown back into the ideas pile. It looks to me as if the breeze is what that idea got turned into.
@@fokke4566 and good. golems are soo boring and add little to the world, lore and quality of life

Honestly, I wouldn't mind another dark age for Minecraft like 2016-2019. That period brought about some of the most revolutionary updates, entirely reworking large amounts of the game like the oceans, villagers, even the artstyle - and the update that cemented the end of the dark age was the Nether Update, once again reworking and changing a lot of things about the game. Microsoft/Mojang are afraid to make impactful changes like that right now because of the popularity of the game. Once the game dies down a bit more, they will be more open to taking larger steps again. I would compare the current updates to 1.10-1.12, updates that don't majorly impact the game and don't force you to interact with them. And if Minecraft truly enters another dark age with 1.21, we might get updates along the lines of 1.13-1.16 again to get the game back into the spotlight.
I cant update my map past 1.9. The thousands of structures and landscapes Ive built in my original map is much more interesting to play with than some fancy new things in an new empty map.
THIS!!!! also i think that people need to realize a lot of these recent major overhauls to the games terrain generation and whatnot are a result in better computers/hardware to run the game on. eventually in 10 years minecraft could be an entirely different game, ten years ago i wouldn't have believed anyone who told me that the nether would actually get an update or the build limit would be raised, or customizable armor, etc. this game has grown so much, and i think we fail to realize how much time has been put into the franchise and how much it will evolve with us as a community
@@UhtredOfBamburghupdating the game wouldnt delete all your builds

"No, you see guys, this is why Minecraft is in trouble THIS time." My dude, I know videos like this get a lot of views, but c'mon.
1:05
I think their mistake wasnt making "such a good 1.16". It was trying to top it immediately.
1.17 always should have been a minor update. Their mistake was announcing the caves and cliffs as a single update. They had multiple ways around this - just do a buzzy bees, or something similar. Something small, and then announce 1.18
Or, just announce its a 2 parter in the first place (it should _never_ have been split over 3.5 updates)
*or* just lower the scale of the update as announced, and then announce a part 2 as an even better update.
The main issue is how horribly the handle controversies and their interractions with the players. I think Re-Logic is the perfect example of what _should_ be done. Player feedback is _directly_ listened and responded to. Player suggestions are genuinely heard out. Features are actually delivered upon, even if updates need to be delayed for it. And most of all, _no stupid excuses_
What hurt the fanbase with Fireflies, ans the deep dark, and Birch Forests, and so much more, was the implication that we as the fanbase were oblivious. That excuses wouldnt get old, that we would fall for weak and tired claims that promises arent promises. Therein lies the main issue, not the controversies themselves, but entirely how they were addressed.
From what I've been noticing, I think the team at Mojang is starting to focus more on the technical side instead of raw overwhelming features that change the entire game. These past few updates have actually been game changing in the datapack and redstone community. So much new stuff that would have been literally impossible (or extremely difficult) to do is now easier than ever before. It seems like they're starting to become aware of what their community can do, and giving those resources to them instead of pouring it into complicated yet one-dimensional features.
The community produces update-sized content for fun, in a fraction of the time. They've even re-written Bedrock's ray tracing system to make it so efficient that current-gen smartphones could run ray tracing on version 1.23
I certainly hope this is the case! That's what I've been wanting because I was playing Forge 1.18, and exploring is downright painful since every single new chunk takes ages to load. Have they fixed that already, or should I hope that they do in the near future?
easier to be 1 person adding a few things than completely changing source code as a multi hundred person team @@SpredDemCheeks69
@@SpredDemCheeks69 Sure, people push out bug-filled, generic, and non-accessible mods all the time. But it doesn't mean they do it better than Mojang. Most mods out there don't need to account for Bedrock and what it needs to literally function on a multitude of devices, already relieving stress from mod developers. Not to mention, most mods out there don't TRY to feel vanilla, instead opting for what the mod creator intends, which is okay, but should not be used as an argument for why Mojang takes time to develop their game. Modding is literally not comparable to actually developing for Mojang/on Minecraft.
That's not to say all mods are as buggy or generic as I said above. Some are truly high quality, you can even feel the passion the developer put into the project. But in reality, no mod developer even knows the full development process and design philosophy behind what makes Minecraft feel so great for nearly everyone to play. Sure, some updates may cater to one aspect of the community, but that's okay. Minecraft is constantly updated and evolving, and eventually every player will get something they want to use. It goes without saying, but some people need it articulated, that Mojang makes mistakes. No company and no developer is perfect. They were too ambitious with 1.17, they tend to leave some features in the dust, and some features are not what the community feels like they should be. The only way to improve these aspects of Mojang, is to communicate, critique and share our opinions to them, so they know how we feel. Saying mod developers "...produces update-sized content for fun, in a fraction of the time." is harsh and simply untrue. Mods feel completely different in most cases and you can see it clear as day, contrasted with Mojang's quality and dedication to what makes Minecraft so great for nearly everyone to enjoy.
Develop a mod for Bedrock & Java, across all consoles, make sure the balance of that mod is in such a way that tries its hardest to cater to everyone, then have it compliment the lore, and finally, have it feel like it belongs in vanilla Minecraft in the eyes of nearly everyone. Then, I'll consider your point.
Yeah but thats that problem, most minecraft players cant make mods, or dont use redstone so for the casual players it feels like nothing is being added
Me and all my friends think that the caves and cliffs update was pretty underwhelming, and the main reason being that it changed more of the ascetics and cosmetic rather than the actual mechanics. The biggest example being copper. It is an extremely common item now but there is hardly any use for it. So now the caves are overwhelmingly big without giving a rewarding result. I know the update helps for people who prefer the building aspect, but I feel like survival hasn't really had much substantial updates since the nether update. This could just be more personal preferences though, so I'm not trying to say that this is what everyone thinks.
😅
The best uptade that they can add is a new dimension.
modded copper is better
1.12/1.16 modded supremacy !
They need to add some sort of way to transmute copper to better materials, or a villager who buys it. Because idk about you but I skip copper veins because it's useless and I get plenty just from the amount that's in my way. And that should speak volumes
What's wrong with something adding more aesthetics then mechanics? The caves are a lot more interesting to explore now n for me it makes mining more fun, idk what's with this expectation for every update to be huge n perfect, I enjoyed the caves n cliffs update and it's definitely changed survival for me, it actually gave me more want to play in survival. Minecraft isn't just about defeating the ender dragon there's more things you can do, I've read other ppl saying they've never touched some of the new features like the ruins and sniffers and the new biomes, but for me I have, n that's cuz everyone plays differently n I get wanting more things that affect the route to defeating the ender dragon, but that doesn't mean the other new stuff hasn't added anything to the game
Great editing man! Awesome video
this is my first time watching one of your videos and it was really entertaining ngl you've earned yourself a sub
Honestly, I just think we need a desert update or something that revamps already existing things because the more structures they add, the less likely things like the jungle temple, ocean monument, savannahs and plains will be updated and get new features. Also I think we just need and end update it's so over due like if you're gonna update one dimension why not update the other and the end is so bland. Same with the strongholds they've been the same for so long.
There should be a two part dungeon update, one update that adds in tons of mini dungeons like boss towers or labyrinths, etc, and then the second part should be big boss dungeons that have you fight dragons, or a Kraken, or Troll or something, anything that makes adventuring cool and worth exploring

@@SmileyFTW360 Survival was never MC's strong point. Even in survival mode, you just end up building cool stuff for the hell of it, because there's just not much to do.
@@numbersstationsarchive194And the lack of iteration on content that actually focuses on survival is what has made it even more stale, hence why so many people are complaining now.
it would be perfect if the accessories needed blocks of ore to craft so they will super endgame and rare items, for example: using blocks of oxidized copper the player will give extra 0.5 block reach, for gold 1 block, for iron 1.5 blocks up until netherite which will upgrade the progression system in minecraft.
the main issue is the fact that instead of choosing to push back the caves and cliffs update as a whole (even if in two parts), they're choosing to still release updates in a timely fashion, but then just push back anything they havent yet finished to the next update, here's the thing mojang, we dont really care about increasing our version number every 6 months, what we care about is features, if it takes two years to finish caves and cliffs for whatever reason, take 2 years to finish it, dont spread whatever content you have ready over whatever release date for a new version you had planned at that point. The warden was announced well over 2 years ago, it was *implemented* in the game well over 2 years ago, and only just now is it in the game? what gives? i genuinely dont mind waiting for an update, even if its well over a year until i get to play even a snapshot, but dont spread out the content over various different updates and expect people to be satisfied with bits and pieces content
There's a possibility on a speculation video for the combat snapshots and it's changes.
From the page, other than the cleaving enchantment, there's possibly a nerf to shields to only take 5 hearts of damage, but for me, that introduces the idea of multi-tiered shields. Then there's the long known stackable potions, but I digress.
Anyways, I enjoy the video as it fights back the intrusive/hivemind-esque thoughts of ire against the publisher
Diamond Shields would be great for defending your party in boss fights...
Ocean and nether update was honestly, peak to me.. I would say tho, I think a deep dark portal(it would be a new playing ground where they can flourish all sorts of ideas into the game)or an end update(still make it barren but a bit more interesting enough to go back to) would be a nice idea.. I just feel like the update themes are getting pretty dam blurry which not only makes the community confused, but the devs themselves confused on what they should add/do which leads to questionable decisions.
The editing of this video is a sin

caves and cliffs one: pretty chill of an update ngl
caves and cliffs two: alright, not that bad
wild update: meh

4 years since the nether update. the next update must be on it's level
We need a completely revamped end update or a new dimension with good items in it
I have been thinking about this exact thing since a little before watching Minecraft live this year. This update can be huge for the game if it works out, and it's showing promise to do just that. I may be biased, considering I've joined the Minecraft community at around 1.13, but I don't think Minecraft is going anywhere for a while. Even with all the controversies (omg I said the word that xay says), and the community being more toxic than the wither, Minecraft as a whole hasn't been harmed too badly. With many other games, half this amount of community backlash would be a point of no return, but it really does feel like we're one step away from the second Minecraft renaissance.
I'm optimistic, and I agree with a lot of what was said in the video (especially the "all mojang needs to do now is not screw up- they screwed up" lol). Let's hope it's a good one, good luck to us all o7
I find it cute when people talk about having been around for a while but then listing a double digit update lol.

It’s kind of incredible how, given the current quality of developer work world wide, we complain about a game that has given us tons of free content for quite a long time.
What they need to add to 1.21 to make it perfect:
1. A new armor trim found in the trial chambers
2. A new music disc found in the trial chambers
3. A new enchantment found in the trial chambers
4. Bundles
We grt bogged skeletons now
Bundles suck.
Oh, _please._ Bundles are useless.
*GIVE US BACKPACKS ALREADY!*
5. END UPDATE
Honestly, the Industrial Revolution update is exactly what this is for me. Im really into computational redstone and these features are a godsend when it comes to displays, counters, logic circuits, and everything. Its made computational redstone so much easier in so many areas!
I came up with an Industrial Update idea in Xay-Xay's comment, go check it out and see what u think ;)
Maybe. I think it should be a mod. I think most of these updates can be mods - that way you don't have to play with them if you don't want them. And mods already have much less stupid ways of doing industrial stuff. The vanilla automation is based on using a bunch of random items in weird ways, like how Terraria automation somehow involves statues.
@@thewhitefalcon8539 Well, even if these features are in the game and not in a mod, no one is forcing you to use them.
@@friskycuber By that logic the game should just have everything, including an infinite resource box and a win button.
@@thewhitefalcon8539 Thats completely different than there being 1 or two redstone features that you dont even have to use in the first place.
I actually kinda like the idea of the villager update. I agree it’s not ideal as is but I think it heads in a good direction. I would support adding something to make moving villagers easier (make villagers follow if you hold emeralds for instance) and I think it should be possible to get max level enchant books directly but I like the idea of targeted exploration to find specific enchants instead of endlessly breaking lecterns.
It probably shouldn't be possible to get max enchant stuff directly, you should get pre-max.
That way you have justification to collect multiple of each and combine them to make max. That way you don't get 1 chest and find the best possible enchantment.
I'd like a rail update cuz the minecarts don't get enough love
@@spritemon98 one cool idea would be to add something like a “minecart with emerald” that would attract villagers in the mornings and evenings. Would be kinda cool to set up commuting villagers who wake up in the morning, board the minecart train and travel to the village center where they’re ejected to work and then look for a return cart in the evening. This could then be exploited for easier villager transport via minecart.
It's a bit funny though how they removed fireflies because they are harmful to frogs, but they also are like "oh enslaving people, forcing them to breed, and taking their children away, thats cool"
i'd rather be forced to explore and find a swamp, then break lecterns over and over honestly. i can sit in a village and get maxed out before ever going below the surface, takes away many aspects of the game
Idk why my friend said this lmao:
1.17 caves and cliffs pt1
1.18 caves and cliffs pt2
1.19 caves and cliffs pt3
1.20 caves and cliffs pt 4

i really wish they made more stuff in the end or just something that can make the game harder to beat
in the end i hope theres like a structure in an island floating and it looks like an abandoned tower (abandoned end city) where we can find some new stuff too
This made me realize that the last few updates were less and less impactful for an average person (They were still good though). I didn't even know that 1.20 was released till now. I haven't played for months, yes, but earlier I could at least tell that there was an update, and since 1.19 it's becoming harder and harder for me.
I'll be honest I stopped playing minecraft a few months back to, I stopped at 1.19 and just only checked 1.20 once just to see the Sniffer.
I'd say the average person owns a copy a Minecraft, which is why it's dying because everyone already owns atleast one copy and so the only way for Minecraft to make money is to ensure it's still relevant so that they can sell their shirts, toys, foods, books and other Minecraft games like dungeons or their board game because that's how Mojang makes money, which is why Minecraft updates are so bad, they put in just enough time and effort to keep the franchise financially profitable. The solution to all our problems is Minecraft 2
I still play 1.7.10 to this day on my own modded version. Minecraft updates will ALWAYS suck compared to what you can already create for yourself.
8:20 I mean... thats how Minecraft updates USED to be. There wasn't always a theme
Notch would just go "this'll be cool" and did it
as long as you can still go back and play older versions I will never quit the game. when I started it was 2012 and I was in second grade. this game is my childhood. I may take breaks but I will never quit.

I think 1.21 will be intended to make a good hit for 1.22, which (I hope) will be the end update, which would be a gamechanger. With the bump of popularity from the already (shaping up to be) good 1.21, they could launch themselves back into the limelight.

I really like this form of video. Humor is great lol. I'd love to see a video explaining the potential fallout and backlash Mojang would receive should they decide to hypothetically remove iron golems from the game fire-fly style.
This happens all the time. People said the Combat Tests were taking away the game's creativity. That the Redstone Update was too complicated. That the Horse Update was too corporate. This happens ALL THE TIME.
It’s kind of incredible how many controversies you covered, and yet didn’t even touch “concept art isn’t a commitment, we won’t update the birch forest”.
And I won't let go of the fact that the birch forest wasn't all that was scrapped with that statement. Both it and the swamp update were specifically showcased as just examples of what they planned on doing to make the overworld more "wild" in the sense of improving ambience.
To put it simply, Mojang seem to have nuked over half of 1.19 behind the scenes and only made that known when pressed on the subject matter, not even apologizing or really explaining themselves.
You know it's bad when erasing half of an update is overlooked when discussing their flaws
tbf I think camman18 would have hated the update even more if the birch forest was update

It takes a surprising amount of time for things much worse than Minecraft to finally die. I keep thinking about getting back into it, but the amount of things to keep up with just seems overwhelming. Thanks for making a video summarizing what has been going on.
Never thought I'd hear a Plants vs Zombies gameplay theme in the background lol
what they really suffered from is the fact that they are tasked to do an EVEN BETTER update from the previous one, due to the highly appreciated updates from the time during the comeback era with 1.13, 1.14, (1.15 was a nice update), and my most favorite which is 1.16 (they really delivered in this one). But after those updates, in my opinion, were a bit messy. 1.17 - 1.18 were supposed to be only one update, 1.19 (imo, i was fairly dissapointed with this update with promising more like the new biomes and the fireflies, but then boom they werent added yet), and 1.20. To be fair 1.20 (in the standards of the updates before 1.13) was decent, but not BETTER than the previous ones, so in the perspective of the majority, it felt ehh.
And also the mob votes (biome votes as well), I don't really understand why they dont just add ALL THREE mobs into the game. I think waiting for an update with MANY cool features being added and actually meeting people's expectations is better, than waiting for ABOUT A YEAR for an update that butchers what they promised in the beginning and just adding a mob that had expectations of having a USE, but ultimately fall down on people's expectations.
Honestly I think the only way to beat the 1.16 update is to revamp tons of stuff like biomes, and the end and bits of the nether. and especially the blossom biomes since they are really just trees with pink leaf's. And adding more to the ambience of minecraft which is something that they have basically never changed before
@@tarragoni4161 I think a huge ambience update would be a amazing update. Adding alot of newer and better textures for mobs, tools and more blocks. Animals to have different looking versions of themselfs. Mobs being able to move their eyes around. (alot of these ideas come from Skipthetutorials channel) and more sounds, details and JUST AMBIENCE to biomes
@@abhikergaming7783 That’s what the Wild Update was supposedly going to be before it became a lackluster update.
I have a few updates that might work.
1. Food update
2 End update
3. An update that has to do with the ancient city portal looking thing (like a new realm)
food is the only good one
A farming update would be sooo dope
Maybe they add like a scythe, throw a bunch of new stuff to grow. Seasoning and a new way of cooking, new mobs to farm and shit. Yeah man
The food idea may not be smth we think about a lot
But a great idea
@@grace_glmv1150 just something different. Can even do different things. Gives us a reason to travel further than just a few thousand blocks.
Funny thing is, while the rest of the update looks sweet, the part I'm by far the most excited for is actually the armadillo. I tested it out in the snapshot and not only is the armadillo pretty cute, the dog armor is actually really quite good, and I feel like I'll actually feel comfortable taking my dogs around with me when they're wearing it. My dog survived a battle with like 20 pillagers where I died twice, even though her armour broke.

We're at a tipping point in Minecraft history right now. If the community sees another split update, crappy mob vote mob or feature getting rejected, Mojang - whose reputation is already firmly in the toilet - will be finished and the community might never trust them again.
So 1.21 better be a good update. It's clear to everyone that themed updates (Nether Update, Aquatic Update etc) are the way to go, but the recent updates (Wild Update, Trails and Tails, 1.21) have just been random assortments of delayed items and useless mobs (Sniffer, Frog, Armadillo). Also, the bundle is delayed to 1.22, it's been delayed for 3 years now 🙄
Someone needs to show Mojang that the Minecraft Live stream was just filled with #STOPTHEMOBVOTE 😂
Or, you know, just eat the update up like it did with all the other updates.

This video is AMAZING. You put everything into perfect persoective and just laid everything that needs to be said out beautifully. Great job.
A desert or jungle update would be nice as both the biomes kinda suck. Desert could use camels, bugger cactus maybe cactus trees a block like the snow that you fall through, jungle could have monkeys and better trees longer vines and maybe even bushes. Oh also a Savannah update and tigers elephants knives new armour, deer antlers for armour tiger claw sword.
camels in the desert are already a thing as of 1.20!
a cactus house.
Tbh a lot of things should be prioritized over jungle. It has 3 unique mobs.
One of the many (and i mean MANY) things me and my friend brainstormed as ideas that could help the desert/mesa/savannah would be an abandonded western town, maybe even a horse wagon/carriage we could get from it. Also maybe whoevers been wanting that new golem for years can finally get one specific to that structure. Also if they wanted some mobs for filler content fennec foxes, scorpions, meerkats, ringtails, and maybe even coyotes, cougars, sand cats, and rattlesnakes could all work. Also they could do SOMETHING with ocelots.
Additionally, I would love to see some sort of sphynx temple with a unique boss, unique loot, etc etc. I don't know why they can't think of stuff like this
The End Update (with a whole bunch of new biomes and maybe mobs, and the famed "Enderite" -perhaps?) A new boss, which we have been waiting for... for years.
5:42 thank you, I was wondering why the situation would only be slightly hot
They also added a new mob drop, they havent made a mob drop something with any form of use since the glow squid

I think the update itself is looking quite good, and is fixing problems from 1.17. However until the EULA is clarified, and telemetry and chat reporting are reduced, it won’t be enough.
This new eula is already a clarification of the previous eula
The new EULA actually doesn't have anything that wasn't in the old one; a bunch of youtubers just thought it would make good clickbait and people believed it. Chat reporting also doesn't affect 99% of servers, as they all just turn it off.

Holy crap. 2013-2015 was the peak of when I played it. I would stay up until 3 or 4 am every night playing Minecraft CTF thinking it was the shit. I recently started getting back into it by playing with some friends from college. It's been almost 10 years and I don't think my excitement for the game ever left. The next thing I'm planning to build in our server is my "house" - a treehouse that might have an underwater portion :o I'm already thinking about where the heck I can find sponge because that'll make draining it SO much easier.
Invis pots work well enough on guardians now, as long as you are wearing only one piece of armor. Together with water breathing pots and milk buckets make ocean ruins relatively easy, once you have the ability to make potions. I use the boots as my armor for depth strider.
PS Always have access to 25+ ems, so that, if a wandering trader has nautilus shells, you can buy them out. A conduit would be nice for the underwater part of your base.
i downloaded minecraft in late 2012 and still play my first original map but its stuck at the 1.9.4 update... I have several cities now connected by hundreds of roads with some that are thousands of blocks long and the maximum distance of my building area domain is about 25,000 blocks across
Perhaps the reason Mojang has been taking much longer to add such little features is because they are afraid of making more of these big mistakes.
Mojang was trying to listen or the community more, which is why things started moving much more slowly😔
This aged poorly lol.
Mojang now ignoring more feedback than ever
Thankfully it seems like mojang will deliver with 1.21 with the announced trial chamber, crafter, and even a whole new weapon (the mace)
Great video!! Mojang NEEDS to watch this!!
i'm baffled by how many people inside of the community aren't aware that the "community" is only about 5%-15% of all people who make up the minecraft playerbase (the majority are just casual players) and many videos like this one don't take this into account and overdramatise topics.
Exactly. If "controversies" like these push away the toxic players, then I say good riddance.
At this point, I'm starting to wonder how long Mojang keeps going before they just leave it to the modders. They have to be feeling how Microsoft's deadlines and restrictive management (especially regarding weapons of all sorts) weigh them down, right?
It’s not Microsoft doing it, it’s Mojang. You think Microsoft cares about things like weapons and killing with all of their T and M lineups in their catalog? Nah it’s Mojang trying to be PC
not even "PC" their problem is their indecisiveness
Their updates as of late have been mostly lacking and modders out here making better shit for free
Mojang needs to hire these people to help out if programming all this shit is soooo difficult 🙄🙄 but they won't because they're clearly prideful in making it this far@@Spobbles69420
@@Spobbles69420 It's much more likely that Microsoft don't want this particular game to be T or higher, because of the average buyer demographic. Most people who play Minecraft are 10 or younger, and/or were when they started playing, and/or started playing because of children that age (there are exceptions, but they're much less common).
Also, not sure about other people, but I often deliver poorer quality when I can't do things at my own pace. So the deadlines are still a factor. Mojang themselves would probably prefer to postpone the release instead of scrapping birch forests, for example.
@@ehx3419 so it’s Microsoft telling Mojang to do mob votes and to mess up redstone and to fuck up everything with Minecraft, got it. Mojang has no say whatsoever with how anything is done, in fact, it’s not even Mojang anymore, it’s just Microsoft making Minecraft. Mojang is a front for Microsoft’s money laundering operation.
Be realistic, Mojang sucks you know what and it doesn’t matter how bad Microsoft sucks, you’re not escaping that fact.
@@Spobbles69420 There's no denying that Mojang made some really bad design decisions, but over half of them are forced by the boundaries of Microsoft's guidelines. Which still makes a whole bunch of bad design decisions they made on their own, but Microsoft is still far from innocent.
I honestly think that we need 4jstudios back they made such a masterpiece with their console edition and I would love to have something like that back again especially the og mini games I think 4j studios could revive Minecraft as a whole
my biggest issue with Minecraft currently is the shift from amor all ages fan base to a more child only fan base in terms of how they're handling the game and the updates at this point. I've seen this point being made before and I fully agree with it, if the creeper was not in the game and they had the idea for it now, it would never get added to the game. I don't blame Mojang as much as I blame Microsoft because at the end of the day, Mojang doesn't have as much control as it was when notch was in charge and before they sold it to Microsoft. but that very much doesn't mean they're blameless. i think it's equally both of them when it feels like they're just too afraid to add anything that's even a little bit risky. i think the community has taken it too far at this point, because I've seen so many people unfairly attack the developers of the game. and that's never okay. but I honestly feel like Mojang / Microsoft is never going to return to the way they were and the way the community liked them. i would love to believe the tear could be fixed, but I doubt it. the community is too toxic and Mojang / Microsoft is too afraid of doing things that aren't safe / promote fun ONLY for children / go for realism in a fantasy game.
Cool video, it's well paced with good animation and pretty thing to look at 10/10 keep up the good work my dude
Very good video and the editing/humor gets better with every new video. Hope to see more comparisons with older versions of the game in the future :)
Next controversy is that dog armor are useless, they only add 1 hit more of hits until they die
Blud thinks he’s a pink fox 😭
All they have to do is make a major change to the game. For example the overall combat, jeb has already made a unoffically snapshot that revamped the combat system which community actually liked they just have to expand on that.
4:34 I don't think this list is very accurate. From what I've seen, phantoms are by far the most hated. I think the reason the sniffer might appear more controversial than it actually is may be how recent it is, which translates to being more in the public mind, and thus being more talked about/criticized. A year from now I doubt anyone will care about the sniffer.
The glow squid was hated mostly because of RUclipsr rigging, and being an underwhelming mob, but those 2 factors add up to being at most a completely useless mob, which is VASTLY better than the active hatred the phantom has.
