The golden plate measures how many entities there are. The iron plate does the same, but for bunches of 10 entities. These are quite niche redstone components, but those can be used for semi-automated XP mob grinders (such as for blaze farms).

I found a desert near a Mesa and there was a desert temple and Oasis nearby. Then I remembered Husks exist and thought: “Why are there Husks, but not Mummies? That would be way cooler.”

at least you can place concrete powder then make it concrete where you want it, but agreed, its a dumb mechanic. I'm pretty sure in Vanilla Tweaks you can throw powder into water cauldrons, which is a good mechanic.
Concrete converters are actually really easy to make and I think every component in one was already in the game at the time of 1.12, so I got a bit confused by this complaint.

It’s surprising to me that Mojang hasn’t done ANYTHING to the phantom. It’s the most hated mob in the game and yet it hasn’t changed a bit? Heck, they know that people hate the phantom. So why don’t they just, I don’t know, rework it?
Exactly. All Mojang would need to do is give something that makes it feel less like you have to fight it with no say. Every other mob has a fairly easy way of avoiding it that doesn't compromise gameplay, like zombies can be run away from, endermen can not be looked at, ender dragon can be avoided by staying out the end. Phantoms are designed to spawn near to the player and swoop down from the sky to actively target them, which feels very against the spirit of an open-sandbox game, and the only ways to avoid them are to keep sleeping, which compromises way too many other aspects of the game like fighting other mobs, or to tame a bunch of cats, which takes way too long to be done in the early game and it's hard to keep track of where your cats are. It's so obvious what the problem is and there's so many ways it could be fixed, like having them spawn in the end as originally planned, having an early-game item that keeps them at bay, even just making killing a wave of them reset the timer the same as sleeping would be something. It makes no sense that Mojang's not done anything.
@@frankflemming6150Back in beta there a feature where the player can have nightmares. Basically if they sleep in the dark then there will be a random chance for a zombie to spawn. They can add this feature back but with phantoms instead. Or. Have it only spawn when the player has been out in the dark for a while. That way the player can just light up the area and they won’t be a problem. It’s a simple solution and they’re still annoying. But anything is okay. Just anything.

Ancient cities arent late game, as long as you bring lots of wool and mabye a bed to respawn and sneak carefully and constantly you can loot them easily. The only hostile mob that spawns is the warden, and you get 3 freebies before he spawns. Armor doesnt matter because the warden claps your cheeks anyways since its overpowered

Here is my ranking for updates. 1. 1.18: A complete game changer, everything about this update is a blast. The caves are beautiful, the new height limit in both directions was just amazing. 2. 1.16: I really hated the old Nether, so this was a blessing. Before I would only touch the dimension to gather resources, but now I enjoy exploring it. 3. 1.7: Pretty much doubled the amount of biomes in Minecraft, and added a lot of stuff to fill in the new areas. THIS is an Exploration Update. 4. 1.14: This update made the villagers we know and love today, and made the villages actually interesting for once. Iron farms are a lot simpler now, which is a big plus. 5. 1.9: Don't care what everyone else says, the update added End Cities, Elytras and Mending deserves to be this high. 6. 1.5: Redstone, what else do I need to say here. 7. 1.20: Small details matter, many small details together are a blast, and also added armor trims. Got a lot of random ideas? Pack them up in an update, they'll love it. 8. 1.0: The End sucks and needs a rework, but the non-End stuff is glorious and changed the game forever, with most features still relevant today. 9. 1.3: Albeit not as good as they are currently, villagers were born here, and were a game changer without doubt. 10. 1.12: Building is a major part of the game, and giving a lot of color options was a step in the right direction. 11. 1.2: A biome and two mobs, better make it count, and it did, truly a quality over quantity moment. 12. 1.4: Made the Nether more than just "Get Blaze Rods" and also added beacon and anvils, good update. Nether still awful but that's a later problem. 13. 1.8: Small details people, random ideas people, while not as good as 1.20 and most ideas died off instantly, it has quantity and helped at filling some holes. 14. 1.10: And here we are with the bad ones, and starting with some bias shenanigans it seems, yeah, as someone always has a polar bear pet on their base, this just couldn't be any lower. 15. 1.11: Just like its cousin 1.10, this is a pile of random ideas, and with random ideas, you need quantity, 1.10, 1.11 and 1.12 should have merged into one big zany update and would have been an easy top 7 update, but it didn't happen. 16. 1.15: Another "a couple random ideas" update, at least I like some random ideas of 1.10 and 1.11, but that's not the case for this one. 17. 1.13: While this is a lot better than the previous spots and looks like a top 7 update, two things, flattening and phantoms, just terrible. 18. 1.19: Pretty underwhelming update that added nothing really relevant, pushed down by the dreaded chat report system, that made most servers unwilling to do the leap. 19. 1.17: This was easily the most disappointing update ever, we were hyped a massive update just to be greeted with an split, an split was more of a snooze button as this update is basically a reminder of what will come, but a year later. 20. 1.6: I literally can't tell the difference between 1.5 and 1.6, Name Tags are the only thing that didn't get outdated shortly after. 21. 1.1: This update did almost nothing for survival, but at least did something for creative, great, its major purpose is to show how the other updates are better. the real worst updates are ones that don't have a big number attached, release as quietly as they can, and only harm the game, like 1.19.1 that added player chat reporting. i don't know the number for the name and skin reporting or the forced account migration

1.7.10 is my favourite update, personally. It's pre-1.9 combat and for me personally it's huge because when I was an actor for ExplodingTNT we kept the Acting Server on 1.7.10 for 4 years. So many of my major memories and experiences with minecraft came from that server from 2014-2018 when we finally updated to the newest version at the time.
Why is the Bee update bad? (Yeah I get that's not the name? But whatever) There's been some really cool honeyblocks usage from builds to redstone machines, bees are pretty cute and adds a bit more life in the game, them stinging you when you hit them is pretty nice interaction too.Yeah it's not the best bad it's definitely not bad 🤷♀️
1.13 and 1.16 are my personal favorites. The worst imo is 1.20 not 1.15 because while 1.15 was a suprise little update in between updates, 1.20 had a year of development and had little content and nobody cared about it. I would love to see what percentage of players who have actually used archeology😂
@@KwikBRfair enough. To me it added some of the two most useless and tedious mobs we’ve ever gotten (camel only spawns at a specific village variant and sniffer is even more complex than that.) I was excited for cherry biome but they are very rare which wouldn’t be a problem for me but they are also a sub biome of the mountains which means they are usually pretty small. Armor trims are nice but purely cosmetic. Overall, the reason I dislike this update so much is it’s just so niche. 1.13: oceans changed you notice immediately Same for the nether update and caves and cliffs. Even the wild update you could stumble upon one of the largest and most unique structures in Minecraft and experience something memorable with the warden. Trails and tales had nothing like that for me.(oh it also added the worst structure to date trail ruins almost entirely pointless and is just a pile of random blocks as a structure😂)
@@talapantedtoad6461 I agree it definitely isn't even comparable to anything like 1.13, 1.14, 1.16, and 1.18, but comparing it to updates like 1.15 and 1.17 it's quite a nice update, adding pink wood, a beautiful biome that's quite common and adds to overworld, a new side thing to explore and try if bored, armour trims which look really cool and can be a long-term goal. for me I would compare it to 1.19, though I love the warden and the ancient cities, the rest of the wild update was lacking for me, while trails and tales had that. if the 2 updates were combined into one, it would have been up there with the rest of the prior updates imo
Queen Bee boss would be so much awesome if they had added And after defeating it she would drop something like Queen's crown which will let you control the bees

phantom may be annoying but it's nowhere close to the worst mob it's more the most controversial but like if we were to think of it without the controversy around it it's pretty cool but can be annoying with the downsides being. It has too many of them per swarm of phantom (Spawn rate needs to be turned down for these guys.) Plus it did not really fit the update much other than the color scheme I guess. It should've been added at the spooky update but I see why it wasn't added then different technology so it's timing wasn't the best. The hitbox isn't as bad as a bats or vex though.
I think 1.7 should be here, whilst it did change terrain generation and add new biomes, it removed the classic distinctly minecrafty terrain generation. It was replaced with some of the most bland and uninspired terrain there was no wonder it was changed in 1.18. It just ruined the feel of crazy and janky terrain minecraft had. They especially ruined the extreme hills, before they had crazy generation, steep cliffs distinct peaks and a crazy amount of floating islands. After it just became a plateau with some snow on top, with boring generation and nothing more.
okay Xay 1.15 did a lot more than just bees, it made a lot and I mean A LOT of improvements to minecraft's performance and it runs 69x better than versions 1.13-1.14

I think that the addition of vexes made it balanced, but i agree, doubling their damage was not really a good idea. But adding vexes pre-damage update made it quite balanced because you are fighting for an object that can save you from death. I dont think horses were a bad idea at the time since there were no elytras, but they are a pretty good early game source of faster travel if you arnt good at beating the dragon in 20 minutes. I dont have a big problem with 1.9 because yes, it did make swords worthless unless you wanted dpsecond and not dpswing, but i did think of a way to make both usefull. Start by critting with an axe and then as soon as you hit the enemy, switch to sword and only crit. This way you have a big blow at the start, and your dpsecond is the same. Though it would be good to make a mob that has the shield and can use it. Something like a bossfight. Sure, 1.15 was awful, but the honey block is a good parkour mechanic, in a sence that you can wallrun, and need to stant on the edge so that you could jump. It also made a good villager trading floor. I agree about the end dimention, its boring. The only good thing about it is the elytra, and the shulkers (and i guess the dragon egg). I agree about 1.18 too but the amethyst is pretty good because sounds (and the bedrock players get to zoom (yes, worse than optifine but still)) 1.19 (finally) added some challange since theres ancient cities witch is nice, the reason why mangrove swamps dont replace the normal swamps is because witch huts and slimes cant fit in there, 1.13 added SWIMMING witch is a better counterpart to just gliding in water and would you really rather have a boat on you at all times instead of doing the way better thing and just pressing ctrl when youre under water for 5 seconds? SURE bedrock made swimming awful and there may be a powerpoint worth of frames, BUT you can play the previous versions if your pc is awful and phantoms, sleep you [i dont want to get banned again]. 1.10 i agree, no points to counter your points about 1.10.
1.12 should have been worst because it introduced the marketplace to bedrock. Mojang literally said that "We distracted you all with pretty colors while we made you spend money." That was paraphrased, but not much.
I know 1.10 isn’t giving much to the player but it has one of the Bert performances for low end computers and I play it just becouse is hated and I hate when people hate.

actually with looking at updates for modding side the 1.12.2 must be the best, it was revolutionary and even to this day people still make mods on 1.12.2
People still make mods for 1.12 not because the update was revolutionary, but because 1.13 changed how a lot of things worked and modding changed a lot. Add in the performance issues, and a lot of people chose to stay with 1.12.
1.21 is already looking to be really good. we have an awesome new structure to explore, a bunch of new building blocks, dog armor, and an insanely good movement item
Although sadly that's mediocre too, the structure looks bad and is really easy to get through, the copper is eh and shouldn't have taken this long, the tuff bricks are ugly copypastes, wolf armor doesn't even work properly or solve the actual problem of wolves having bad AI, the wind charge is amazing though

the real worst updates are ones that don't have a big number attached, release as quietly as they can, and only harm the game, like 1.19.1 that added player chat reporting. i don't know the number for the name and skin reporting or the forced account migration

1.7.10 is my favourite update, personally. It's pre-1.9 combat and for me personally it's huge because when I was an actor for ExplodingTNT we kept the Acting Server on 1.7.10 for 4 years. So many of my major memories and experiences with minecraft came from that server from 2014-2018 when we finally updated to the newest version at the time.

Why is the Bee update bad? (Yeah I get that's not the name? But whatever) There's been some really cool honeyblocks usage from builds to redstone machines, bees are pretty cute and adds a bit more life in the game, them stinging you when you hit them is pretty nice interaction too.Yeah it's not the best bad it's definitely not bad 🤷♀️

1.13 and 1.16 are my personal favorites.
The worst imo is 1.20 not 1.15 because while 1.15 was a suprise little update in between updates, 1.20 had a year of development and had little content and nobody cared about it.

To me it added some of the two most useless and tedious mobs we’ve ever gotten (camel only spawns at a specific village variant and sniffer is even more complex than that.)
I was excited for cherry biome but they are very rare which wouldn’t be a problem for me but they are also a sub biome of the mountains which means they are usually pretty small.
Armor trims are nice but purely cosmetic.
Overall, the reason I dislike this update so much is it’s just so niche.
1.13: oceans changed you notice immediately
Same for the nether update and caves and cliffs. Even the wild update you could stumble upon one of the largest and most unique structures in Minecraft and experience something memorable with the warden.
Trails and tales had nothing like that for me.(oh it also added the worst structure to date trail ruins almost entirely pointless and is just a pile of random blocks as a structure😂)
@@talapantedtoad6461 I agree it definitely isn't even comparable to anything like 1.13, 1.14, 1.16, and 1.18, but comparing it to updates like 1.15 and 1.17 it's quite a nice update, adding pink wood, a beautiful biome that's quite common and adds to overworld, a new side thing to explore and try if bored, armour trims which look really cool and can be a long-term goal. for me I would compare it to 1.19, though I love the warden and the ancient cities, the rest of the wild update was lacking for me, while trails and tales had that. if the 2 updates were combined into one, it would have been up there with the rest of the prior updates imo

phantom may be annoying but it's nowhere close to the worst mob it's more the most controversial but like if we were to think of it without the controversy around it it's pretty cool but can be annoying with the downsides being. It has too many of them per swarm of phantom (Spawn rate needs to be turned down for these guys.) Plus it did not really fit the update much other than the color scheme I guess. It should've been added at the spooky update but I see why it wasn't added then different technology so it's timing wasn't the best. The hitbox isn't as bad as a bats or vex though.

I think 1.7 should be here, whilst it did change terrain generation and add new biomes, it removed the classic distinctly minecrafty terrain generation. It was replaced with some of the most bland and uninspired terrain there was no wonder it was changed in 1.18. It just ruined the feel of crazy and janky terrain minecraft had. They especially ruined the extreme hills, before they had crazy generation, steep cliffs distinct peaks and a crazy amount of floating islands. After it just became a plateau with some snow on top, with boring generation and nothing more.
okay Xay 1.15 did a lot more than just bees, it made a lot and I mean A LOT of improvements to minecraft's performance and it runs 69x better than versions 1.13-1.14

I love how terraria jokes and references are starting to appear in the normal videos. It's great to see some of both block-based worlds!
I think that the addition of vexes made it balanced, but i agree, doubling their damage was not really a good idea. But adding vexes pre-damage update made it quite balanced because you are fighting for an object that can save you from death. I dont think horses were a bad idea at the time since there were no elytras, but they are a pretty good early game source of faster travel if you arnt good at beating the dragon in 20 minutes. I dont have a big problem with 1.9 because yes, it did make swords worthless unless you wanted dpsecond and not dpswing, but i did think of a way to make both usefull. Start by critting with an axe and then as soon as you hit the enemy, switch to sword and only crit. This way you have a big blow at the start, and your dpsecond is the same. Though it would be good to make a mob that has the shield and can use it. Something like a bossfight. Sure, 1.15 was awful, but the honey block is a good parkour mechanic, in a sence that you can wallrun, and need to stant on the edge so that you could jump. It also made a good villager trading floor. I agree about the end dimention, its boring. The only good thing about it is the elytra, and the shulkers (and i guess the dragon egg). I agree about 1.18 too but the amethyst is pretty good because sounds (and the bedrock players get to zoom (yes, worse than optifine but still)) 1.19 (finally) added some challange since theres ancient cities witch is nice, the reason why mangrove swamps dont replace the normal swamps is because witch huts and slimes cant fit in there, 1.13 added SWIMMING witch is a better counterpart to just gliding in water and would you really rather have a boat on you at all times instead of doing the way better thing and just pressing ctrl when youre under water for 5 seconds? SURE bedrock made swimming awful and there may be a powerpoint worth of frames, BUT you can play the previous versions if your pc is awful and phantoms, sleep you [i dont want to get banned again]. 1.10 i agree, no points to counter your points about 1.10.

actually with looking at updates for modding side the 1.12.2 must be the best, it was revolutionary and even to this day people still make mods on 1.12.2
People still make mods for 1.12 not because the update was revolutionary, but because 1.13 changed how a lot of things worked and modding changed a lot. Add in the performance issues, and a lot of people chose to stay with 1.12.

1.21 is already looking to be really good. we have an awesome new structure to explore, a bunch of new building blocks, dog armor, and an insanely good movement item
Although sadly that's mediocre too, the structure looks bad and is really easy to get through, the copper is eh and shouldn't have taken this long, the tuff bricks are ugly copypastes, wolf armor doesn't even work properly or solve the actual problem of wolves having bad AI, the wind charge is amazing though
