The rock and roll Hall of Fame is a joke. Rappers pop stars disco queens have been inducted, Priest doesn't need them and they surely don't deserve Priest🤘
Who's the wood, paper, and plastic gods? Did I miss anyone? When I was about 9 years old I'd occasionally see Glenn Tipton's name on a top 10 guitarist list. Long before Watch Mojo was an idea, we bought NFL logo pencils from a vending machine for 5 cents each. Today, many or most Android keyboards don't include the symbol for cents, so it became $0.05 years ago, then $ .05 after. Half or more American teenagers currently running a cash register cannot make change for dollar bills. Most of them never operate a cash till, because they lack intelligence or work related social skills. It has a name. It's a 'liar' It's a bad liar. It is it, and it is what it is.

If you ever went to a Priest Concert back then in the 80's it was like being steamed rolled by a Stack of Marshalls. Your ears were ringing for a week afterwards long live the 70's and 80's Rock and Metal Bands... \m/
Remember that this was in the mid 80's. I'm in Australia and my brother and I were big Judas Priest fans. This was before video. This was the first time we ever saw them on TV. They never made the music shows here. It was just awesome to see them play live
Yes I'm in America, I remember that day I had a huge hangover,my mum was listening to Black Sabbath and Judas Priest, my sister went to see Judas Priest, at our arena, we have a pretty cool mum, muscle cars and rock concerts Yeah !
I was 25 years old and a newlywed. We went to a bar with friends to watch Live Aid. It cost $$ if you watched at home. It was a great concert. Unfortunately for me, I had to leave for South Korea the next day on a remote assignment for a year without my husband. Every time I see a video or hear music from Live Aid I remember that time and how I hated to leave.
God damn!! Glenn Tipton's soloing on this song is so on point and the camera man just stays on KK. Shame. At least he got Halford dancing around all cutesie like.
The cuts during the solo are almost tragic, the first with K.K. is shown, then when it's Glenn's turn, they still show K.K. and then when it switches back to K.K., the cameras cut into the whole band...
Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Judas Priest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's about time. The most fascinating thing is their new stuff is as good as their classic stuff. Not too many bands can do that for 50 years.
Well, It is official Judas Priest was just announced to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! The band has been together for over 50 years and have put out at least 18 albums and 6 live albums, they opened for Led Zepplin in the early 70's at The Day on the Green and along with Black Sabbath were the only 2 metal bands at Live Aid in the 80's. They have toured the world many times. I will never forget the first time I ever heard them was in high school and we were skipping class and someone said have you ever heard of these guys? They put in a tape of Sad Wings of Destiny and the song Victim of Changes played...and I was hooked, then I saw them live in concert for the first time a couple of years later on the British Steel tour. I have had all their albums and seen them many times. I'm so happy for them as they deserve it and everyone who has played in the band will be there including Les Binks. Congrats to Judas Priest!!! *Speaking of Live Aid this was the first time most of the world got to see them live unless you were a fan and saw them in concert. I remember it was early that Saturday like around 10 or 11am when they came on and on MTV they said after the set "Wow, it is hot out there and they all had on leather and played a hot set, don't know how they did it". One thing is for sure if you had not quite woke up yet, you were awake by the time they finished as the world had never heard a man scream like that before. Rock On!!!🎸
Best Halford screams of any Judas Priest song. Back in high school my friends and I would try desperately to scream along inside the car with the stereo blasting.
Green Manalishi - a 1970 song written by Peter Green from original Fleetwood Mac. Allegedly "Peter Green... wrote the song after a dream, in which he was visited by a (dead) green dog which barked at him. He understood that the dog represented money." ... ... "...had to fight to get back into my body, which I eventually did. ...When I woke up, the room was really black and I found myself writing this song..."... okay, we get it.
The day I became a JP fan! I was still a teen & new to metal. These guys blew me away with their performance that day. Went out immediately & bought SFV & Defenders.
I remember being so proud that day. There were so many great, ultra-famous musical acts at those two shows...but only two bands flew the flag of metal...and Judas Priest was one of them. But, you can see how great their performance was and how they didn't back down. Priest knew they deserved to be their every bit as much as Queen, David Bowie, The Who, Madonna, or Eric Clapton.
And was on TV just about all around the world which made it bigger than Woodstock going back and forth from London to the USA, nothing like it has ever been done since.
I was lucky enough to see JP 5X in the 80’s…They’re one of those bands that always brought the A game every time they played….. Maybe Dio, The Scorpions,Iron Maiden are the others I can honestly say were on that same level of musical professionalism….
While I have a great deal of respect and admiration for Peter Green, this will always be a Judas Priest song for me. And, this is only one of a handful of cover songs that I like better than the original. 🤘🤘
I was 11 Years old at Kmart by the Big Section of Tvs and This was on as A Kid. Next Day i started Learning to Play Guitar. Love 💞 Ryan Dean Lindgren of the Band Crimes In Graceland. 👊
Shows how much respect Rob has in the industry because he was never outed by a British red top newspaper...who loved exposing everyone in the 70s/80s no one was safe....
My little brother 9 years younger than me I came down to visit one summer and his favorite bands were Dio, Kiss and Judas priest!.. Kiss album he liked was animalize!... He didn't know anything about destroyer!!!🤣..or rock and roll over!!.... But we traded Rock and I'm a huge Judas priest fan now and we went to a few Dio concerts before he passed!!
U2 = greatest performance at Live Aid, Priest - Top 5. The Who, after a rough start (because they didn't even want to look at each other) also top 5. Queen is perennially overrated, though solid.
I need to look out my "Live aid" discs..didn't realise "the Priest" were on them!. Mind you at the time I was more into "Duran" and "The Thompson Twins!" so it's no wonder I missed them the first time around in my teens.
The band that taught the world how to do heavy metal live.
Priest and ACDC were the best
I saw them in Houston, early 80's
In his prime nobody came close to the vocals of Rob Halford just amazing..
He was a great front man at his peak..I was never a massive Priest fan , but i am loving their music now.
Geoff Tate did. Rob was the master though.
I don't know. Freddy Mercury did a masterful job
@@davidhutchinson5233Además Rob Halford es muy fan de Queen y de Freddy Mercury 😎
@@dmitryowens gtfo! Dio, Halford, dickinson the end

Vote for rock and roll hall of fame for Judas Priest 2021
Rob Halfords definitely the most effortlessly intense metal vocalist of all time and KK Downings long hair looks awesome.
sry but Dio will always be the best and most intense. but Rob #2

Why is there no blue banner added by youtube stating that live aid was rife with corruption and did little to eliminate world hunger?

I guess Austalia was a little behind the rest of the world. MTV launched in 1981. VHS music videos were a thing at the beginning of the 80's.
