Well, It is official Judas Priest was just announced to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! The band has been together for over 50 years and have put out at least 18 albums and 6 live albums, they opened for Led Zepplin in the early 70's at The Day on the Green and along with Black Sabbath were the only 2 metal bands at Live Aid in the 80's. They have toured the world many times. I will never forget the first time I ever heard them was in high school and we were skipping class and someone said have you ever heard of these guys? They put in a tape of Sad Wings of Destiny and the song Victim of Changes played...and I was hooked, then I saw them live in concert for the first time a couple of years later on the British Steel tour. I have had all their albums and seen them many times. I'm so happy for them as they deserve it and everyone who has played in the band will be there including Les Binks. Congrats to Judas Priest!!! *Speaking of Live Aid this was the first time most of the world got to see them live unless you were a fan and saw them in concert. I remember it was early that Saturday like around 10 or 11am when they came on and on MTV they said after the set "Wow, it is hot out there and they all had on leather and played a hot set, don't know how they did it". One thing is for sure if you had not quite woke up yet, you were awake by the time they finished as the world had never heard a man scream like that before. Rock On!!!🎸
Damn I am so freaking old...I remember this. I wasn't there, but I watched it. I look at Rob today and say "SH!T he got old"...then I said "Wait...he's not that much older than me!". Sh~t I'm freaking old. :(

Legendary band near the top of their form. Shame the sound guy couldn't manage to eliminate mic feedback and the camera guy couldn't tell that Glenn is soloing and not KK. How does that even happen!? Probably cuz he'd never filmed an actual musician before. Saw Priest a few years back just before covid and Rob STILL has the pipes! Just an amazing performer... and yet more people know who Drake is for some reason. Sad.
...and the crowd cheered when Rob personally executed the sound technician right after this song
