50 years of service and still going strong! Judas Priest!
Rob is so bad ass! What an entrance. Glenn's expression in the beginning is hilarious
Glad someone noticed, I thought I was the only one😂
When a band can out do the studio version live like this it's simply amazing!
INVICTUS media exactly
One of the best live bands ever 🤘🏻
It takes dedication. Great live sound does not happen by accident.
This is the greatest metal entrance of all time!
Did anyone else get a shiver when he said, "I'm made of metal..."
Yup, just like when he says "on the heavy metal geese-tar, Mr. Rrrrrrichie Faulkner" in you got another thing comin', live (Epitaph).
Yup hair stood up and my metal meter went to 11
@@LakerStud33 +the audience is cheering.
Rob walked onto the stage like a total boss.
Ian Hill's bass is rock solid, and his tone is delicious
People can't imagine how this sounded live. You could feel every note. It rattled your ribcage, and your ears rang for three days after one of these shows. Sometimes the ringing never stopped, for the rest of your fucking life. That was just a chance you took. Everybody did their job in this band, and the experience was like Mozart conducting Krakatoa.
Halford is an icon, a metal god, blessed with this voice and such one of the nicest guys. The music of Judas Priest will be always and forever in my heart.
Like a pure metal Mercury, in a way, right? Pun may be well intended.
I’ve seen a lot of live acts, and Judas Priest had the clearest, best sound by far!
They were the 1st concert ever for myself in Nashville of all places!
I'm 22 and saw them at PowerTrip in California along with ACDC, Metallica, Iron Maiden, etc. Front and center in the pit this past October and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. I'm an audio engineer and you're right that the live mix their engineers get going for them is second to none. Real artists working those mixers making them sound their best.
Damn that walk of baddassness.
hahaha
and how he nonchalantly steps over KK's chord as its dragged in front of him.....
Awesomeness as well
poppyhimbo man, that sounded gay pornish.
That's because he friggin' owns the stage when he's out there. I saw them 2 years go, and it was probably the best JP show that I've ever seen, and I've been to 15 or so since 1980. The band and Rob were just dead on perfect.
So bad ass how Halford slowly strolls out singing the opening lines of the song. 🤘🏼
Best era. They were on top.
This particular live version sounds incredible on my home sound system, whole house is shaking
whats setup are you on?
Call to The Priest.
I live about 40 miles from where the US festival was held, and I still think I could feel it shaking my house during the show. Impossible, I know, but to be a middle school metalhead during those glorious years was quite great.
I agree. Very clean, with every note crisp.
Tbh this sounds better than the recording
I get the chills every time I see him walk out on stage in this performance. STAGE PRESENCE.
Personality and charisma, too. And his timing...
The best rock concert ever Southern California. God damn headbangers I was there
Half walks onstage like a boss.. "I'm made of metal..."
The way the crowd reacts is priceless too
His (singing while not being visible) was an incredible coup-de-theatre, to let the anticipation grow even more and then subjugate the crowd.
Casually walks on stage singing like a boss
Its simply Halford as we know and like him
Raping everybody's mind in the process
His awesomeness and metal energy do all the talking !
Halford makes his entrance right when he says the words, I'm made of metal ... so badass
in a gay uniform 😂
The huge smile and recognition Glenn has when he walks out on stage And looks up at the audience Almost as if he is so proud he knows he is the man And has achieved Metal God
As always, Glenn in his trademark Red and Black comes on stage, smiles, and tears it up on guitar.
this is the manliest man in europe. he's fabuloooous.
The best entrance in Heavy Metal history!
Yes!
Oh pleeeeze! You aint seen em all.
Iron maiden rock in rio>
Spinal tap coming out of the pods? Except for Derek smalls obviously.
Hairy Cornflake
WTF? he simply walked on stage!
That little smile glenn gives at the beginning like "yall arent ready for this"
Halford's entrance is hair raising. This IS the best concert opener of all time.
It should be teached at Actor's studio. The ultimate "I am in control". You are more than 300'000 ? Who cares? You could be 1 million and I would master you anyway.
I love Judas Priest!
me too ❤❤❤❤❤
How underrated is Ian hills bass, guy never gets enough credit.
Nobody makes an entrance like that except the Metal God
He left the toilet, I remember the smell😢
definitely one of the greatest vocalists in metal music this band has been on my playlist for 45 years.
What a great band!
Estupendo comentario !
Que buen video
Buen video buen comentario
I had the pleasure of working several shows at the venue where i used to work. Went from PAYING to see them, to working with them. Always a great show. Band and crew were always very professional and friendly. The METAL GOD LIVES!!!
Cool
That's awesome
I remember seeing Priest back in the 80s and thinking “man, Rob must get all the chicks”!
Except he got all the dudes 🤣
I’m going to one of there concerts in October
He was kind enough to dispense all the chicks to the other band members
@@Selzor - Team player! Other bands get the singer's discards
How could you not know he was gay. Rock on Metal God.
I was there. 22 years old, now 64. The day was so epic I can remember it all...not bad considering it was the 80's!
0:19 the smile of a proud parent.
“We composed some pretty sick songs for you guys”
I spilled my cognak
I truly appreciate how Rob just steals the show by simply walking in. That's legitimate stage presence if I ever saw it.
One of the greatest Heavy Metal lead singers, If not the greatest.
Halfords fkng voice is amazing
I’m so lucky I’m 46 years old. and still alive. I didn’t had the honor to see Judas Priest live. But. I. Am a fan and I have all their albums. I listen with a Bose computerized system. My neighbors like them so much that they throw rocks from the upper levels,m. Greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽
THEY CAME. THEY PLAYED. AND KICKED EVERYONES AS AT THAT FESTIVAL. BEST LIVE PERFORMANCE AT US 1983!!!!
***** Right!
+Bobby Fletcher ok I didn't get to go to any concerts back then or in the future. My mom says when I'm 16 and pays for tickets and get a drivers license I can go and I'm 10
Doctor House ...I don't know about that. Priest were great, but the Scorps were on another level that night. They blew the mighty VH off the stage
They were good, but not the best that day.
tes eat it up
Tip and Kk are absolutely the very pinnacle of metal
Seen them live in Lansing Michigan in the 80s baddest ass concert ever seen
The sound of heavy metal! Love this song. Thank you JUDAS PRIEST
This is the real deal. This is METAL. Once you have seen this nothing else comes close. Thanks Judas Priest 🔥🎸🔥
Me and you have a lotofthings to say about the future
I had this on 8-track when I was fourteen. Screaming for vengeance opens with The Hellion/Electric Eye and the first time I heard it, it blew me away. I've been a fan ever since. The lyrics to Electric Eye were foreshadowing what we are experiencing today, very prescient.
Zajebiste, esencja metalu!
the only band that, in 2020, can still be heard in gay clubs and biker rallies at the same time. they were/are THAT GOOD and THAT APPEALING>
Essa entrada do Rob halford me deixa fascinada !🇧🇷
Pode crê 🤘🇧🇷
Melhor entrada possível, já vem cantando lá do backstage.
Ele é foda demais!
The Tipton/Downing twin axe attack...awesome and timeless.
Es judas priest. La música va a quedar en la historia por siempre.
It’s been 5 years since I first saw this and I still can’t get over Tipton’s little smirk at 0:20
Right?
Saw them last night for the first time. It was life changing and life affirming! Rob is just as charismatic as he was way back when this was filmed.
You aint a shittin'........I just saw them last week in Nashville......and the concert was AWESOME. I never was a big fan of Queensryche but they did OK for the opening. But when it was time for Priest, it all came together! I travelled from Cincinnati to Nashville with my two oldest kids to see the show. It was my 3rd time seeing them and my kids(they grew up listening to Priest) first time. It was a great experience we got to share as a family and I will never forget it. And you are RIGHT, it IS life REAFFIRMING! It was refreshing to know that the things that influenced me and make up who I AM and were part of my kids lives growing up is STILL there in this crazy ass backwards world. It was GOOD and MUCH NEEDED FUN. And I thank God that I had the opportunity to see them WITH my kids.....
